what primary to go with Time?

I am having fun with my Beam/Time Corr. I agree with the re-draw, but i had the same issue with my AR/Kin however its a beast. You cant always get a Corr to over soft cap, and this combo you can do it(and pretty cheap to cap out and NO purples). The build i have is over 50% defense. This is a good combo, if you dont mind the redraw, and has great defense potential, as well as low end drain.

I also love my toon name Final Seconds

My Elect/Time/elect has been fun (now at lvl 41). I actually went elect/ because of voltaic sentinel and the two low level AoEs. Voltaic has synergy with the clicky nature of time. I can cast the little guy and do other things while he adds dps, and he can scourge as a corruptor, which helps his damage. The AoEs, 1 fast and 1 slow both have nice wide ranges and quick recharges. This also gives me a bit of flexibility when I'm knee deep in the middle of a spawn, next to the melee. I don't need to position myself, I can focus on debuffs, holding the bosses, buffing, etc. and still contribute some nice AoE damage.

I'll also note that theme played a role in my decision. I won't play a character long if I can't fit in a cool theme or concept with a decent name.

The build will end up with Ranged/Energy/Neg at or above the softcap, S/L softcapped while in melee debuffing tohit, good end recovery + powersink, close to perma or perma hasten/chronal shift/farsight, and all the /time powers with some decent procs. It also wasn't very expensive.

Being softcapped to all three positions also helps because a lot of the mezzing stuff just won't hit you in the first place.
And then once you have clarion, you dont need greens, purples, or break frees, meaning in most situations you can pretty much bring a full tray of reds to tfs/trials, which helps alot with lesser base damage that time provides compared to things like kin or cold.

I have a DP/Time right now at level 35.. He has been doing pretty well.. Now the real test will come as I start running ITF and LGTF runs.. He will have a very high defense build with Fighting Pool. Far Sight, Scorpion Shield, Maneuvers and Combat Jump. I will also build in some pretty high recharge as wee with IO's. Adding Musculature and Reactive for more damage, the Shield Drone Lore pets and not sure on Destiny yet.

The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-

I have a Fire/Time and Elec/Time. I don't want to say it but I have too, Fire/Time is measurably more fun for me.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

I tried that, myself.
It felt like I was playing a controller. Lots of debuffs and crap, not a whole lot of damage. The weapon redraw meant I was shooting at stuff after teammates just finished them off.

Trying it as Ice/Time, now.

And honestly, the redraw thing isn't unique to BR, its true with any of the ranged weapon sets, but I really don't think time is particulary bad in clicky powers( I imagine both BR/TA or BR/Poison is a whole lot more clicky), it just depends on how sensitive to redraw you are.

I'm enjoying my BR/Time, but the major downsides are this, both sets are slot hungry, and BR biggest strength is its biggest weakness, its a strong ST set, but blah in AE.

Really it comes down to what you want out of your corrupter, or if you have some sort of concept. I think time is a pretty solid set, and it will go well with just about anything not unlike Dark Miasma.

My fire/time corr is 31, and I'm loving it so far. I already have a lvl 50 fire/rad, and I know from that character that fire/ can take advantage of high levels of recharge. I'm expecting /time to really deliver in that regard, so I'm really looking forward to level 38 and Chrono Shift.

Ice/Time is fun, kinda Fire-lite but the secondary effect of Ice compliments both Time and Ice Storm & Blizzard well. Having multiple holds is nice too.
