People who prefer to solo and/or don't have the uninterrupted time usually needed to do TFs....

Same here. In fact, I never once did old sewer runs.

Twinshot doesn't hand you off to new contacts, either. At least, she didn't a couple weeks ago.

yeah I rolled a storm/sonic defender, went through all the Atlas Park stuff and finished at level 8 with no contacts.

I can kind of see why they did it this way, to encourage folks ot use the radio more. I have an ill/rad controller that's barely done radio and safeguard missions because he's been swimming in Contacts from the get go.

Really I think they've just made it match to Villainside a bit more, once I got past Mercy Island I had to do paper missions to pick up more contacts.

Well, til i hit level 20 anyway and you get about 4 dumped on you >>

It took hours if the whole team were level 10-12 because you didn't get XP beyond 15 and people didn't want to waste it. I used to do Synapse as my first TF and Posi later so would be over level and be able to SK somebody, a few people like that and it's not too bad. I used to run posi for merits a bit later in a touch over an hour.

I've said a few times that I'd pay $5 for an additional set of arcs for both red and blue side, to give me something else to level on.

Ah, well. When Radio Missions were first introduced, the Devs assured us that running them would be "optional". I see that they have a different definition of "optional" than I do. The running of newspaper missions on Villainside content is why I stopped playing Villains. I don't like Radio Missions and I don't like Newspaper Missions. I've got 4 characters I've started since coming back that are all stalled at level 8 that I can not level any further as long as I choose to not street sweep or use "optional" content that I do not enjoy.

I'm not feeling very welcomed back.

Radios were optional for heroes. I ran the 3 required for the AP Safeguard for the raptor pack (not the contact) and those are all I've run on lots of my characters. Papers were never optional for villains if you wanted contacts.

However with issue 21 those seem optional now. The "Find Contacts" button is pretty frickin' awesome in my opinion.

Well... still not really optional for villains if you want the accolade but we are talking about contacts here.

Also, if you did the old Posi when you were level 10, you'd get to the mission in Boomtown that you probably couldn't do because you had to be level 12 to get into Boomtown.

Not to mention the +5 enemies back before super-sidekicks. When we had only been in the game a month or so, we gathered up our little supergroup and started a Posi with what would eventually become our mains. We were 10th to 11th level. We didn't even make it through the 1st mission. I can tell you that Vahz zombies are neither slow nor easy to pull away from each other when they are all purple.

We restarted it when we were all at 14th and 15th level and it went much better. We played on that thing for over a week, treating him just like any other contact. It was awesome.

As proof of concept, our premade team (ill/rad, grav/kin, tank, scrapper, blaster, bubble def, PB) ran Bastion (Citadel as it is now) at level 25, steamrollered the first mission and cranked it up to invincible. The second mission was slow and not fun, but we did eventually kill all the +7s. Turned it back down and steamrollered the rest.
