i tried it on my brute but only ditched manuvers for it. but on my tank the only thing i was thinking i could replace it with is maybe combustion.

but idk if its quite worth droppin for...any thoughts?

On brute it scales lovely with Fury, on tankers well.. not.

My Granite loves it, great replacement for teleport once in a while (the cooldown is heavy) or quickly move to a different location. Damage wise its ok, it really is a pool power an no where near any normal set targeted AoE's damage. Sad part on my granite, i have to take 2 powers basicly useless for my Granite (SJ and CJ) since i cant use those powers while in Granite or Rooted. And jump kick .. well looks basicly stupid on a granite.

I think it suits best on non-weapon sets, on my inv/axe its quite ananoying u cant do whirling axe straight after it, unlike /ice or /SS footstomp or frozen aura (specialy this one on a non-dmg-taunt-aura is great).

I tried it on test. Either concept begs for it or "somehow" its an easy fit.

To me it's a novelty, it's effects were reduced during c/beta and even before that it was situational with the long recharge.
If you can make the room it isn't terrible but I wouldn't waste a primary build choice for it.

The recharge is far too long for the damage. There is no reason this should be on your Tank instead of Combustion.

Well, take it with a grain of salt as the only tank I have it on is level 25 but it's a pretty nice attack. I believe it's just a bit less damage than Shield Charge to roughly the same AOE and recharge. Once Mid's gets updated for issue 21 I'll be trying to shoehorn it into several builds.

Right now my baby SR/MA tanker is looking longingly at it and waiting for the day he's big enough to take it

Slight threadjack, but has anyone else noticed just how tough a baby SR/MA actually is? I'm level 12 and sitting at (with Crane Kick) ~34% Melee/Ranged defense. I've never had a baby tanker that unkillable before, and the only defense powers I have are the Melee & Ranged toggles, Practiced Brawler and the 10% boost from Crane Kick.

spring attack is significantly less dps than shield charge. SA has about 67 damage on a 120s recharge while SC is 150 damage on a 90s recharge. Extrapolating for basic SO slotting you are looking at 132/60 = 2.2 dps for SA and 300/45 = 6.7 dps for SC.

It's a fun attack, but numerically horrible for non brute ATs.

I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.

I was herding Frostfire at level 6 with a baby Icetank for a large "good" team. Did not die at all and it was super cool and fun for everyone. That had a taunt aura CE. I expect SR to be pretty cool almost all of the time, every now and then ya will prolly prefer to stack sturdies or run with +res shielder sets but even in moments like those there are other tactical options. My SR scrapper what I tanked the STF with 4 yrs ago now I think I'd describe as my fun toon, don't worry, be happy.

I think it's going to be kind of like the other new travel tier 5s, where they're fun, but not going to be must haves. Which I suppose is a good thing, but I do wish these would be easier to pick up. I'd like to pick up Spring Attack for fun on some characters, and Afterburner on others, but I just don't know if I can justify the power picks, etc.

I think SA is just good enough to pick up if it sounds good, though.

Tried it on a controller. It did not give me extra damage for containment, and even if it did, I found it pretty 'meh' for damage. Even if I got the extra for containment, I still can't see me keeping it, if only for the insanely long recharge!

Oh and I am FINALLLLLY back to being able to log into the forums, so, as Rangle would say... FLEEEEEEE!!!

May take it on my Ma/Sr tank if I can fit it in. It will help it a lot for aggro grabbing as MA only has Dragon Sweep for a AOE attack. Have to check slotting what I have first as from what people in game have said is that it is pointless unless heavily slotted to be used as an attack. But at least it gives an option which is nice.

Spring Attack on double-stacked Rage for Super Strength and less than 30 seconds recharge? Even on a Tank, it is very much win.
