Out of curiosity, from how far away will she still stick to her original target? If you Recall Friend her target several hundred yards away, will she still run across the map to trail them? Most hostage type critters lose you if you get very far away. Just wondering if that might be an alternate way to get her following someone else.

I tested with incandescense from about 200 yards and she ran. Dunno if there is a limit.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

I honestly don't know. We've used port to break her off once or twice but its very hit or miss. That's why I use self destruct. As far as her follow range goes it must be a long way, we tried the port trick from the end of the 1st bomb section back the walker room and she bolted back up the tunnels. Not a fun experience. Best bet is to either leave the mission or die.

I didn't see a mention of AOE heals in here... they probably shouldn't be used in the final battle, as confused healers could be healing the enemy. Not sure if single target heals also buff the beast. In any case, I ticked off a league today by getting empath lock, so it can't hurt to keep that in mind.

Finally got through one of these (thanks to the fine leadership of @Monocle Owl on Virtue) and on our run we tried a little something extra for the Lichen Infested War Walker.

The plan going in was to have everybody wail on the LIWW and for folks to keep an eye out for the regenerative lichens. This went well at first, until the adds rolled in and targeting became a mess.

What ended up fixing it was having one person use a $target league-chat macro whenever the lichen popped up. At that point, everyone reading league chat (heh-heh) could see that it was active and could easily click the name of the person in the league HUD to render a quick assist.

The effective result is that the LIWW would be under a hail of fire for the majority of the time, and then, pretty much as one, just about all the ranged characters in the fight would swivel and pop the lichen with a few of shots, downing it almost immediately.

Come to think of it, we ended up using that mechanic to plow down the bomb hallway without a hitch, too. It's a useful tool.

Anyone else noticed the Walkers getting much more difficult over the last two weeks? The last few runs I've been on have ended at the pair of walkers. It seems like the walker is targeting people much more frequently, and its attacks were hitting well after a targeted player moved out of the normal range.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Out of curiosity are any of the Lore Pets useful for anti-confuse powers? I know one or two have status protection powers, like the Battle Ord and Seerer Seeker. I could have sworn my Warden saved me from Confuse once but according to Paragon Wiki I am mistaken

I think it might just be your team.

For Avatar, no lore pets, if they heal, they heal boss, they attack team if you are confused, nasty debuffs etc.

Got on my first UG at the weekend and thanks to this guide I had a rough idea what was going on

I even tanked the Avatar for a while when the main tank went down, which I wouldn't have know how to do without this helpful thread. In fact it went a dang sight better than some of my other first trial runs

Try to keep in mind - unless you're running this with the exact same group of people, there's not really going to be a valid comparison.

On your earlier runs, perhaps there were several slow debuffs, limiting the recharge rate.

Invariably, people are people. They want to tier 4 their incarnate powers - I think it's fair to say we all want to. But when this is accomplished, you've gotten your badges, you probably have other toons that could use a little iXP and more salvage and astrals and empyreans. Then, you've gone from a strong incarnate to a weak one. I've had a few on my leagues that weren't even level shifted. It makes a big difference. However, it's an investment I'm willing to make. The experience helps them, they get stronger and then they can help my weaker incarnates get the goodies they need.
