The last time I got a notice I was complaining to a friend about it and he told me what to say in my reply to the summons. I don't remember what it was but it worked like a charm. I said I was mentally unfit or something like that. ;P

A friend of mine said that he wold boldly state that he was racist and the defendant should fry. Doesn't matter what color the defendant is either. I guess that would work.

The two times I was sent a Jury notice, it was 2 months before my summons date. I'd stick the notice in a location where it would remind me to actually contact them when the time came for jury duty. The next time I'd see the notice, I realized it was a month after the date.

What's really interesting though, is that I went 35 years without getting a jury duty notice, then I got 2 in 2 consecutive years.

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

Well lookee here, folks! We have the deputy forum mod right here, right now! I don't want to take up too much of your time since you have to lay down the forum law and all and Paragon is incapable of such things. Also, you need to hurry and tell all the small kids in the world there is no Santa, Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy.

I hope it's one of those 2 days as I'm off for both of them. Thank god I'll never have to do any jury duty.....as long as I still work in law enforcement.

In college I got out of it by showing up in a Born Again Pagan tshirt and handing out daisies to other people (I was deemed a 'potentially unbalancing factor amongst the other jurors').

Much later I got called again, and had to spend the day bored waiting to find out if I'd get called. I wrote several chapters of a book I was working on at the time while I was there. Productive day.

Pretty sure that part of the EULA has been there for years, not that it matters. The language isn't there so that they have grounds to stop you from doing it, it's there so that no one has grounds to claim they are liable if someone does it and something bad happens.
