I still managed to get money with Alpha Wolf's name on it, so my prediction wasn't entirely untrue!

Gratz Alpha Wolf.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Congrats to Alpha Wolf, and to @Molten Slowa and @Star Empath for backing the right horse.

I ended up paying out 450m to these two players, plus their original bets. I took in 3.8 billion in bets from a number of players, though, so the real winner here is, as usual, the guy playing the books.

Then again, I took a huge risk. Had Positron or Friend of the Studio won, I'd have had to find between 6 and 12 billion of my own funds to pay off the proper people. The long odds did their job of attracting bets, but they did set me up for a pretty big fall if luck hadn't been on my side.

Enjoy your winnings ant thanks for playing, folks!

Just so everyone is clear, I write the person-who-paid's name on the money they give me for the prize pool. This helps me keep track of who paid and who didn't. Plus it's kind of a tradition at this point.

In the end, the winner gets to select the bills of the people he wants, 2nd place and consolation prizes get to pick from the leftovers. Alpha Wolf was kind enough to leave his own bill in the mix for Clockwork01 to take for 2nd place. Skippy got 25% of the prize pool for having the best record, some money went out mid-season for a challenge game, and Zwill and I split 12.5% of the money for being out of contention for so long, yet STILL fielding respectable teams every single week.

I remember the bet, I just don't remember who I bet on.

Congratulations to everyone, and thanks for letting us place our bets on this! I must say this was quite fun, and I'm definitely in for next year. I don't see me picking a team with Andre Johnson and his hamstring again, though.

No surprise that you come out the big winner, Dechs! I don't begrudge you any of it, because you were indeed the one on the hook had things turned out differently. Lee Trevino once said, "The definition of pressure is standing over a hundred-dollar putt with twenty dollars in your pocket." I appreciate you being the house on this little game, because it was quite fun.

I kept a spreadsheet. If I have one fault, it's honesty.

Much like my character, I am a gambling man. If people will bet on it, I'll run the books. I tried setting up odds on which of the Freedom Phalanx would die, but no one seemed interested in that.
