shots elsewhere on the web show what appears to be a prison break with two tan camouflaged tumblers, aka, Batmobiles. Bane is standing on one. Its probable that the photo caught both the main tumbler and one of its stunt doubles. I'm guessing lore-wise that this is the second of the paired tumblers. I seem to recall Lucius saying the tumblers were designed to work in pairs for bridge building purposes. The first was, of course, destroyed in the last film.

I'm guessing something akin to the jailbreak in the Breaking of the Bat storyline (Knightfall) is being done, and that (hopefully) Bane being as razor-sharp as he is, figured out where Batman got all those wonderful toys and raided Wayne Enterprises. He takes the remaining tumbler. That leaves Batsy with his main transport as still the batpod from the wrecked tumbler. Enter Catwoman who seems to be swiping the ride.

This fits in with my guess that we'll see Anne wearing things like the mask and the ears as homages to the original Catwoman. I'll bet there'll be something like Bruce Wayne throwing a costume party and she'll show up "in-costume" that'll look vaguely Catwoman-like just as a fun cameo.

Yep and this fits in with my guess that she's stealing one of Bat's bikes that I mentioned earlier.

That was practically a "drinking game" back when you watched the old Lynda Carter Wonder Woman show. You never knew from scene to scene whether she'd be wearing her "fashion" heeled boots or her "stunt" flat-soled ones.
You were looking at her feet?

Remember, in the last movie, Harvey Dent spent most of his time not as Two-Face. Selina may embrace one of the more familiar looks (be it from TOS or Arkham City) towards the very end in order to set up another movie (regardless if Nolan is involved).

I have to agree. Any Catwoman other than the one above is fail.

Harvey Dent was essentially always referred to as "Harvey" or "Dent" in TDK. Gordon only referred to him as "Two Face" one time during his brief conversation with Dent in the hospital. It makes sense to me that Selina Kyle will not be referred to as "Catwoman" in this film.

However, they didn't use that as an excuse to not make him look like Two-Face.

And Selina Kyle will most likely look like Catwoman. She will just have a costume design that Nolan and crew found acceptable to their vision of the character.

Personally, I'm quite happy to not see her in cat ears. She doesn't need them IMO.

Without them she doesn't really look like Catwoman.

I don't really need Hathaway to look exactly like Julie Newmar's or a video game's version of Catwoman or even be called "The Catwoman". Like Shard_Warrior said they handled Two Face very well without having to constantly drill it into us that's who he was. He didn't have to wear a "Hello, my name is Two Face" nametag on his jacket and neither will she.

As I mentioned before we'll probably get plenty of glancing references to her "catiness" without her having to wear the costume ears all the time. I don't really care if she'll be more Selena Kyle than Catwoman or vice-versa. I have complete faith in Nolan that this character will be awesome regardless.

In your opinion. Personally, I'd rather Nolan and company stick to their "grounded in reality" theme than start going campy just to satiate hardcore comic nerds.

Cat ears don't equal camp any more than bat ears. We're probably lucky Nolan didn't get rid of the cape.

There are clear visual differences between the body armor worn by Batman in the films vs. the spandex costume in the comics. The suit itself in the Nolan films serves a functional purpose.

They would if they serve no real purpose. Watch Batman Begins again. Both the ears and cape served a functional purpose. The ears hide the microphones/antannae for his listening devices and the cape serves as a gliding device.

Having cat ears for the sake of having cat ears to satiate the comic nerd purist lends nothing to the film and makes the character come off as silly.

That's why a suggested a few days ago that maybe we'll see a scene where she uses some kind of safe-cracking listening device which coincidentally looks sort of like cat ears. Maybe they'd be a direct rip-off of ear-tech she stole from Batman, who knows. They would be functional like that. Otherwise I don't really need her to wear them as part of her "expected uniform" unless there's a vaguely-realistic reason for it.

WOOO!!

Someone made the "hardcore comic nerds" argument!

That's right, you losers! How DARE you assume that this movie would be aimed at you! Of COURSE Batman isn't going to wear that stupid cloth costume. REAL men wear elaborate body armor. Catwoman dressing up like a cat? How lame would THAT be, right? It was okay for the Joker to look KINDA like a clown cause he KILLED people, so he's still awesome. But CATwoman..... PLEASE!!

I mean, I know Nolan kinda set the stage for stuff like that with the Joker's whole "you've changed things speech"; and sure, that'd be the perfect excuse for people to start wearing elaborate costumes like Batman. But we wouldn't want them to actually follow through with that. Just put Selina Kyle in black leather like every single other femme fatale action woman in who knows how many movies. That's safe and predictable. We wouldn't want to try anything new or push the boundries of the movie's universe or anything.

Oh yeah, and Bane's silly looking mask is just fine cause he's wearing a trenchcoat and military gear. Plus he'll probably have GUNS which makes up for that, right brah?

*fist bump*

That line of dialogue had nothing to do with people running around in campy, silly costumes. You will also recall the henchman at the beginning of TDK saying the Joker wore makeup like "warpaint to scare people". He didn't wear the clown makeup to be silly looking.

Strangely enough, style is a realistic reason. And not even vaguely so.

The thing is... with Batman all his stuff needs to have a purpose. that's how he operates.
With Catwoman, not so much. She sees Batman and decides to become catwoman. She likes the excitement of what she's doing and all that. She's not doing it for "practical" reasons, though there is one which will likely be ignored.

It's about what works for the character.

As far "it'd look silly" isn't that what they said about the Xmen yellow and blue suits... they didn't seem silly to me in First class... nor do any of the costumes done right. I think people are silly, not costumes.

Exactly!

And a costume from the comic book, like Catwoman's, AUTOMATICALLY equals silly. That's why only nerds and losers read comics. Thank goodness Nolan's doing away with all that stupid comic book stuff. Catwoman's not wearing a cat outfit to look sexy or just cause SHE likes it; it's just pure camp. And ANY camp is a VERY bad thing.

Everything must be realistic and gritty and colorless. Throwing in a dash of whimsey might make the films too fun, and we can't have that. Then it might be sorta like..... [stage whisper] a comic book. [/stage whisper]

Which implies that Catwoman wearing cat ears would be campy and silly looking. Cause why else would she be doing it, right?

She wouldn't be trying to set herself apart from other catburglars, make a name for herself, or simply be doing it to draw Batman's attention.

Unless those ears have GPS, Wi-fi, and laser beams in 'em; it's campy and silly.

Can't help it if you're reading it wrong. Nice try though.
