Keyes start kick bug?

Well, until this is fixed, I'm not even attempting to do the Keyes trial again.

2 different nights I've tried to do this, managed it the first time, second time on an MO attempt, as soon as the trial starts and we all start to zone in, I end up back in Pocket D, kicked from the trial and unable to rejoin it.

Same again last night, we started, 3 people got kicked from it and we restarted, this time I got kicked along with at least 1 other. It's unreasonable to expect the trial to be restarted given how much is needed to sort it out, only for the risk of it happening again each time.

I've bugged it, hopefully this will get sorted damn quick, as it's annoying the crap out of me!

I was one that was 'allowed' by the system to get in. This isn't helping anyone.

It is not only that some are kicked... the team locks aren't working also. They are locked and on entrance all are unlocked. (It may even have a connection with each other)...

Note, and schedule for fix please!

I am having the same issue and not just with the KIR, but also with the Lam and BAF, so far SF/TF entry isn't affected which leads me to believe the issue is League related.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised it inst working well, given the lengthy testing that was done in a hurry to get out the last content before they leave us to our own devices amongst the F2P mayhem.

Just would be nice if one of their QoL "improvements" actually was improved to the point of working

Waiting for, but not expecting any attention to this issue

Team locks don't work in the way you expect. That is actually intended behavior. The purpose of team locks is to prevent the league leader from moving folks. It has been the case since the LFG system was introduced [including the unlock when you zone into the league instance].

When running Keyes, it seems on larger league sizes the last one or more people to zone into the map get kicked. The only solution seems to be to limit your league to 16 or so people. At least that has been my experience on Union (done around a dozen runs so far).

So OV let me get this right, your fix is to not use the system as it was designed??

ok then I suppose the best way to keep from having to buy tires is to not drive your car?

or closer to home, the best way to avoid xp debt is not to play?

your solution is to justify bad design and poor coding as an acceptable hazard of the game experience

we are here to fight super villains not bad game development

No, that isn't what OV said at all. All that the post was doing is giving a bit more data (that with large league sizes the last few get kicked) and providing a temporary work-around for players until the Devs can find the cause of the problem and design a fix for it.

But then, OV doesn't seem to have some type of Vendetta going on.


If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Yeah, I really wish for the rumor to die. Unfortunately, seeing that Paragon Studios failed to provide the basic documentation needed for the mystery meat navigation (and was criticised in Issue 20 pre-beta for), they STILL failed to tell players what the buttons really do.

Actually the cut-off is 19 players. Any player beyond that has a chance to get kicked, and it is more likely to happen if the league is locked.

I'm not sure what you are waffling on about, I was just suggesting a temporary work around until this gets fixed.

In the mean time, if those of us affected by this make sure to /bug it, it may well get fixed sooner rather than later.

After more testing I think Snow Globe is correct in saying 19 seems to be the cut-off point.

Can marginally confirm that number of players: was in back-to-back BAF, Lambda and Keyes last night, all between 16 and 18 characters. No one was kicked. CoH did crash on me as we defeated Anti-Matter, but I still got my Empyrean Merit and reward table upon logging back in. Presumably I got hit with the E.M.P.

that's not a solution its a broken tool that doesn't work as intended. If your car only went to 25 mph would you call that a work around? no its broken unless its what it was designed to do, in which case tell us that how its supposed to work not well the speedo goes to 110 but you cant get it to go that fast. Good grief you would swear I attacked him personally.

his suggestion isn't a fix or 'solution' its a vindication of my original point

don't give us timers give us full functionality first and thats all my post was designed to stress.

The bug seems to be caused by having a closed league. Right now an open league will preserve the teams on zoning, but a closed league will scramble them and players zoning after the first 16 or so seem to get kicked.


Issue 16 made me feel like this.
