Average wait includes pre-formed iTrials.

First available means you'll join any iTrial that meets the minimum player number requirements - this typically means a Lambda will start, since it has the lowest reqs. (Thus why I don't really understand why they have this option, since it basically means "put me in a Lambda")

Click queue to enter the queue.

Go to either RWZ or Pocket D (depending on your server) to join pre-formed trials, otherwise you may be waiting in the queue for a very long time.

Personally, I've never once gotten into a league using the LFG feature. I'll stand in Pocket D with leagues forming all around me, coming and going, and even though I'm in the LFG queue it won't pull me in with any of them.

I find its just easier to watch for someone yelling "LFM" and then get an invite from them directly.

You do realize that we as players have the right to form private leagues that block the Queue from dropping random players in their teams.

I agree. Seems like an odd decision.

Also, I don't understand the change that made it more likely to include more than the minimum needed to start. In my mind, it should be set to always attempt to fill to max unless it is a closed league. And "join in progress" should pop you into any league with an opening that is not closed.

but many people proposed both of these and the Dev's clearly didn't agree. So Meh. We'll see if they modify it in the future.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

I really had high hopes for the LFG when it was 1st announced. Sadly these hopes have been dashed over and over and over.

As you have pointed out here join in progress should just let you get sucked into any open league that has a free spot.

I attempted yesterday again to use the LFG tool on Infinity just to test out if the current changes had made much improvement. 60 minutes later I was still waiting in the queue and never once reached enough member for the game to attempt to start a trial.

I really think at this point that the LFG is a lost cause. If the devs could find some way to use the old Arena match posting tech to allow leaders to post up a trial/tf forming at X time with Y slots open I think it would be used much more often than what we have now.

This is actually what I thought the devs would be working off of when they first announced the LFG feature - something in between the Arena posting and the 800lb Gorilla's LFG version. Instead we got some kind of gross, aborted mess.

You know, the lfg worked really well for me the first couple weeks it was out. The trials were a pain, but I would click it wait 5 or 10 minutes and boom.

I took the wasting my life aspect out of teaming, which is what I hate the most about it.

No offense, but I just don't like hanging out with people in the game. Their banter is not clever for the most part, and number of teams I have been on that spent as much time playing as they did sitting around waiting for something I could count on my one hand.

I get bored of this game 10 times faster when I'm on a team that when I am solo. So the idea of the LFG is great. But it looks like the players have devoted themselves to "working around" it working.

/this.

At last count, I've run 40+ BAF/Lambda tf's, and not once, have I ever gotten
into one via LFG - zero, bupkiss... On top of that, the posted "wait" times are
meaningless and off by at least a factor of two (actually more since I've
never actually gotten on a team that way - in more than double the posted times,
before I clicked the PoS OFF and simply used /b in a "gathering zone").

Utterly worthless, waste of time, feature... and that's putting it as gently
and kindly as I possibly can (don't get me started)

PS> The one LFG feature I *do* like is the "Rejoin" feature, which I've used
several times after a crash... Of course, if they ever wrote working, crashless
code in the first place, we wouldn't *need* that feature... Given the code they
*have* written, it's been a godsend...
