............here is an attempt to combine them. I have a wonderful DM/Inv build based on the awsome one built by the players on these forums but I prefer WP as a secondary.

My concerns with this build are as follows:

1. Nine second downtime on hasten
2. Lack of accuracy (although soul drain fixes that)

Im sure there are other flaws I just havent seen them yet.
Could someone cast their eye over it and give me their opinions

Two things: I'd lose the ragnarok: damage and replace it with the ragnarok proc. The damage remains essentially ed capped and those procs are nutso, man. Also, being nine seconds off permahasten is effectively meaningless, especially since willpower gains no benefit whatsoever from recharge in the first place. The only thing that signifies is that you have slightly less than 100% global recharge. I don't see a reason to sweat that unless the OCD-piquing nature of a tiny gap is going to bug you.

Dark Melee requires a lot of recharge to run the top attack chain seamlessly. Willpower's lack of benefit from recharge makes it less than an optimal choice for pairing with Dark Melee, but less than optimal still works in this game.

I think the biggest thing you should change in your build is to ignore Fire/Cold defense. There isn't enough of it at 50 to bother slotting for it. Changing your resistance toggles to Reactive Armor would allow you to get rid of a Kinetic Combat set in Brawl then drop 5% E/N defense elsewhere in the build, and aim for higher global recharge.

I would aim for 32.5% S/L and E/N defense if I were making a Willpower Scrapper. It is much less expensive and will survive most situations just fine. For tougher situations, one inspiration can get you to the soft-cap. In addition, it would be a lot easier to fit enough recharge in the build to run the top attack chain.

One other thing: slot Quick Recovery better or the same as Stamina. Quick Recovery has the higher base recovery and should be given priority over Stamina for slots.

I have a build for you;

It is as high a price as I could warrant but you seem from your build to want that.

Softcapped to S/L/E/N and 32.8% F/C defense so one purple off softcap.

Recharge is at 138.8% and with Spiritual core Paragon is 1.6 seconds off Perma Hasten.

Comfortably handles the top ST chain of Midnight Grasp -> Smite -> Siphon Life -> Smite.

It has (with assault, the un-needed toggle) 2.377 End/Sec net recovery with every toggle active in combat which coupled with Dark Consumption can afford to get Spiritual aswell as Rebirth +Regen to give even more Regen and a good strong heal for big burst damage.

580% Regeneration with one enemy in range of RTTC which is 49.2 HP/Sec and can reach 1127% which is 92.24 HP/Sec fully saturated.

Good S/L resistance at 50.6 which can be boosted upto 70% with SoW.

When I do see someone's fireball knock down half a spawn, I immediately mentally note that I'm playing with someone who paid attention to his build.

To be fair I normally do slot the proc. I was having a senior moment

You're right, and I'm not arguing that point. But the way I read what I quoted earlier, it sounded like you were saying that the proc was a damage improvement over the pure Damage piece (which IS true, for the ones that have damage procs). I was just making sure you weren't mixing it up with a different set.

Ok...here's my updated build, i decided to forsake that bit of recharge for a full softcap (except psi of course) ragnorak proc is in. The big sacrifice is the travel power but with oubor, teleports, base, ninja run and steampunk jump i dont see it as the issue it once was. Thinking of my play style im not really gonna miss that 9 seconds on hasten but Im OCD on softcaps and I need as much back up as I can get ( 4 1/2 year vet, numerous 50's done the proper way) but still a damn poor player !!!!!

ANyway here it is....any more thoughts?

Looks good to me. One tiny little change I'd suggest is losing the acc/heal in siphon life in exchange for a common heal io. Kinetic combat is a little light on acc enhancement but you also have siphon insight and ragnarok bonuses. I think I'm more comfortable with "close enough" accuracy than a lot of people on the forum though.

....I dunno.....


I'm a big fan of "play what you like", but on WP I usually shoot for the 'cheaters cap' of 40 percent, and let RTTC's -to-hit take care of the rest. And you're reaaaaaally stretched thin on that build, a lot of attacks are 5 slots or less, and yet you have six slots in touch of fear for +defense bonuses? Which you honestly do not need.

Even with soul drain up, you're not to-hit capped against +4's, and when it's down, I think you're going to have acc issues.

If I were you, I'd rip out the Kinetic set in brawl and all extra slots from touch of fear, and use those 8 slots to 'thicken up' the rest of the build. (High pain tol, all attacks sixed, get a Kismet, etc) You'll still be just as tough on the defense front, and you can get a lot more hitpoints and much more solid attacks.

I think this build has too much money in it to be spread so thin on the offense side.

Just my opinion.

I tinkered a bit, see what ya think.

It still has accuracy issues for soul drain, but hey, that's what yellows are for.

It has the cheaters cap or close to it to all, and regenerates a whopping 70/sec against one guy you make you feel better about it. It's also maxxed for hitpoints, has a big heal every 5.5-ish seconds, is only 7 seconds off perma hasten and 4.8 seconds off perma soul drain.

I swapped the fire pool for mu, and got you a real travel power. If you hate it, it's easy to swap back.

It's heavily resisted by anything you'd want the cap against (AVs), and doesn't apply to attacks from outside it's radius. If you end up in a lot of situations like those two then it's not effective at all. If you don't it's very effective.

If I were you, I'd rip out the Kinetic set in brawl and all extra slots from touch of fear, and use those 8 slots to 'thicken up' the rest of the build. (High pain tol, all attacks sixed, get a Kismet, etc) You'll still be just as tough on the defense front, and you can get a lot more hitpoints and much more solid attacks.

I think this build has too much money in it to be spread so thin on the offense side.

I based the build on the community build DM/INV (Kalis Succubus I think) which I currently run and it really is not lacking in the damage area at all. I often don't 6 slot as it isnt always beneficial. I would like to get a purple set into siphon life but even that would be only an extra 40 damage points. As far as touch of fear slotting is concerned, I have enough recharge for the top tier chain and I was using shadow punch as a mule for 3.75% s/l def but I figured for 2 extra slots in a power I wasnt going to use i could get the same s/l def, get f/c to softcap AND get 9% global acc. Also it could be a useful mitigation power if i really need it as i'm hoping it will allow me to stack mag 3 terrors.

Dude, at this point, you're debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

This toon is awesome. Who cares if it's capped or not? That's why it's called 'the cheaters cap'.

You have 2300 freakin' hitpoints! A shot that kills a squishy like a bug might drive you into the yellow for a few seonds. Maybe.

You do remember the seventy hit points a second +regen, right? And the 400 point heal every six seconds? (That's another 65 hp/sec right there.) Not to mention that nearly every attack in your primary debuffs a single hard-target's to-hits, which stacks with rttc and with your defense.

Relax. Quit stressin' about the soft-cap, you're going to get there and with plenty to spare against almost anything. And even if you don't, YOU STILL DON'T CARE. I mean, this is the sort of build that wonders why everybody else is so worried about Devouring Earth emitters.

Have I mentioned the resistances yet, and that you also have Strength of Will?

There's a reason why layered defenses are not simply better, they are much better.

You'll be fine.

Build it and go play, you'll see.

Thats why I love WP so much and you are quite right !!!! I do love building toons too on Mids, ive got so many that Ive have built and never played and im sure by the time I get to 50 it will have been tweaked a dozen times and respeced 2 or 3 more once Im there figuring out whats good on paper v's playing.

I also enjoy the good old forum debate on builds so thanks all of you for indulging me

Ok...another angle, I was toying with Mu Mastery instead of pyre so i can save a power choice and have a travel power then i got wondering about Summon Adept as a power.............are they worth having, how squishy are they do they help much???? Never had a patron pet so it would be a new experience for me
