Do you know the difference between LARPers and Tabletoppers? LARPers actually talk to single girls who have a chance of being interested in them. In my experience, female LARPers are just as likely to be spoken-for as Tabletoppers. The difference being that the LARPer is more likely to be carrying around an actual vial of blood, wearing a ring with a compartment that holds some nefarious substance, be comprised of 10% foreign metallic objects, and probably is into furries. None of these traits particularly bother me, mind you, but I've found them to be more common in the LARP scene.

Farewell is like the end

And there you'll always be

"In front of you is a small, 4-acre park. In the middle of the park is a statue of what appears to be a wizard."

"OK, we enter the park and slowly approach the statue.

*Dice roll* "With a grinding of stone on stone, and a horrible moaning that seems to echo from the depths of hell, the statue begins to come to life! It blasts a cone of greyish energy at you!"

"...Saving Throw! I make a Saving Throw!"

Shoooooot! I ain't afraid of no animated statue. It's those damn Gazebos that make me nervous.

Seems like they ought to commemorate Dave Arneson as well, but I suppose Gary's descendants aren't that concerned about remembering Dave.

Depends on the event. Many LARP events attract cosplayers as well. Of course if you're over 18, you're probably out of luck.
