I'd asked Zwillinger via PM, about Veteran Badges, soon after the Freedom announcement had been made.

As to the Vet badges, if I can buy up the rest of them using Reward points that would be great as I've wanted them out of the way for some time.

For example, you'll probably be able to purchase remote access to the auction house, but not the "Loyal Customer" badge.

I would assume so also. Although the new program that replaces the VR program is on a monthly (rather than quarterly) schedule, I'd be surprised if the badges went to monthly rather than quarterly for their award schedule.

I will admit I didn't read each post, so if this is a repeat I am sorry. However offering the Vet badges through the rewards program is STUPID! Please allow players to get the rewards, but at least rename the badges. I feel it is useless, and in my opinion disregards the real vet reward badges. I can't believe this wasn't a thought in their minds when creating rewards program!

The Paragon Rewards program IS the Veteran Rewards program. It's just becoming token based and allowing you choices, instead of forcing you to take specific rewards at specific times.
If your complaint is that they're now offering the equivalent of one Vet Reward for every month (instead of every three months) or per $15 spent in the store, then I don't know what to say. Tough?

No my issue is not the rewards, have a great time with them. It is the badges being rewarded with the pr program. Eveything I have read has appeared to apply badges to rewards. I do hope i am wrong though.

From my understanding (and I could be wrong), we will continue to get veteran badges with every 3 months of subscribed time, but the rewards themselves have been split off into a new program.

It's six in one hand, a half-dozen in the other.
It's like that Taco Bell commercial from last year where they were doing a combo with a taco, nachos and a drink, and the dude kept asking the staff, "So I buy the taco and the drink, and I get the nachos for free?" and he gets replied with "I thought it was buying the taco and the nachos and getting the drink for free..." and virtually every permutation, down to the manager who said, "Just give me the $2 and it's all free."
You're getting the same rewards and the same badges at a faster rate. Actually, you're getting a few extra of both rewards AND badges. I really can't see what there is to be sore about here.
