... No, not really... Unless somewhere not shown on that page he gets a similar helm/cape, I just don't even see it being close enough to joke about a revenge lawsuit...

He looks as visually similar to Statesman as Statesman does to Captain America.

No one wins these lawsuits except the lawyers.

Marvel's issue with CoH was the ability to make EXACT replicas of their characters with our costume creator. That's not an exact replica of any CoH signature character, and if it's close enough, then Marvel and DC's lawyers are gonna be REALLY busy as they sue each other back and forth over dozens of similar characters.

And a "revenge lawsuit" is a ridiculous idea. If your main reason for the suit is to "get back at them", you probably don't have a leg to stand on, and the suit will get thrown out, leaving you stuck with the court costs.

Definitely not enough "there there" to form the basis of a copyright infringement suit.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

^This, basically. What would be the point of such a move?

Marvel's lawsuit was a joke. A pack of crayons gives people the same (or greater) ability to create a replica of a copyrighted character as the CoH costume designer does.

Isn't it obvious? So NCSoft can throw money away for no good reason instead of using it to improve CoH.

Doesn't Marvel's reboot of Supreme Power look a lot like Statesman?

Think its Time for NCSoft's lawyers to step up.
Only if Statesman were to have his look converted "loosely" into Modern/Ultimate/Movie Superhero style seems weird that SP is getting a reboot but maybe necessary the crossover with Ultimates sucked

1: That's not Hyperion. That's Dr. Spectrum (the jewel on the back of his gloves are a dead giveaway).

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.
