Ahhh, I remember Monkey well! Just need a monkey/gorilla mask and all the pieces would be there. How sweet would a team consisting of a Monkey, Tripitaka, Pigsy and Sandy lookalikes be!
i was thinking of sun wukong as well when i read the title. i was thinking of the anime paprika where she skydives into a dream and shifts into monkey king form.(cant find it on youtube)
(oh and oz, i think most monty python fans know that slang)
Putti come to mind as well. Especially with cherub wings. If only we could all be as small and ugly as BNY. *shudder*

My mind immediately went to Kid Goku/Sun Wokung/The Monkey King when I saw that screen shot as well. If anything, this might lead to more Dragonball copyright violations and less Dragonball Z violations. :P

At the time my thinking was that a PB was a far more accurate emulation of DBZ than the extremely common Energy/Energy Blaster versions having both shields and flashy energy attacks.

Actually Akira Toriyama actually said that Sun Wokung was a big inspiration to the creation of Goku.

I had to share this, because as soon as I heard you could have a flying cloud as an aura, there was no other choice.

For the English and Australians out there, you know who this is, but to the rest of you I present King Monkey from Monkey Magic! Made in 1980 and dubbed with no translated scripts, this was often a hillarious and downright entertaining way to learn about Buddhism.
