Saturday Matine Signoff
Oddly enough, I was thinking earlier today about how this might happen.
Thank you so much for running these over the years. It's been a lot of fun.

I only got to join you guys a few times but I enjoyed it every single time. I always felt welcome even though every TF or SF I joined you for were brand new to me - I'm specifically thinking of the Eden trial which I still have not managed to run again. You guys were always patient with my noobishness.
Thanks
Sorry to see a justice institution go.
Thank you so much for all you did for this event, Darkbridger. It's been said that this was the best event on Justice - and for good reason. I know I have had a lot of fun running TFs with you guys. So much of it was new to me, and you all never made me feel anything less than welcome and part of the team, ever patient as I tried to keep up. It's been a wonderful ride. Thanks for sharing it!
I'm really sorry to see this happen. I'd take it over myself, but I'm not in a position right now to commit every Saturday (or Sunday, which is why I stopped doing the Sunday Special).
Hope all is well Bridger, and take care. Thank you for so many great TFs.

I never joined as often as I wanted... but did always enjoy it when I did.
I'll certainly miss it.
Thanks for all the past effort to make this work.
Thanks for your efforts arranging this, DB. I'll organize one when I can!
Whoa, stop right there, Mister! What kind of person would I be if I encouraged you to take up the mantle, only to refuse to do so myself when you were ready to retire?
I think it's only fitting if I honor your years of amazing service to the Justice community by turning your into a damn dirty liar and invoking The Show Must Go On rule. You have been an integral part of bringing people here together, giving them something fun to count on, and being absolutely unselfish about giving your time and energy to make sure others have fun. It would be my great honor to help carry the legacy on.
But I should warn people in advance that I'm just plain not as nice as you and if people snooze, they lose. So... if someone nicer wants to take over, then let DB know and you can take over next week!
Thanks, DB. You're awesome and I'm really glad you're not quitting the game and hope that you'll be able to join us whenever you're able.

Miss Informed in 2016! She can't be worse than all those other guys!
DB - due to work i was never able to join the Sat Mats as much as I wanted to, but when i could they were awesome. Thank you so much for bringing something to the server that was fun and benefited the community.

Although I remember running one or two of these things with Living Hellfire, when I reflect upon the Golden Age of the Saturday Matinée, I will always be thinking of the events that you organized. Thanks for the Saturdays, Darkbridger.

DB, thanks for running Sat Mat! I loved having a dependable socially organized event that was dependable (even if I was not as dependable at times).
Miss, if you ever have a slot to fill - for sat mats - and you see me online... probably means I didn't get to the forums to sign up during the week and would like to help out. (sadly, I lost track of time this weekend and missed out)

There will be no Matinée this week, and I've chosen to stop running them in the future.
No, I'm not leaving the game, nor can you have my stuff. :P There are multiple reasons for this, and I won't bother going over them. However...
Thank you to everyone that ever signed up for a Matinée in the past. An extra thank you to anyone that signed up that didn't know me, or any of the "regulars" on the Matinée. I've seen many people come and go over the years of the Matinée, and hopefully all of you had as much fun as I did.
Also, thank you to anyone that ever led a second (or third) team or helped to organize last minute attendees or helped with some of the larger events. Your help was much appreciated.
In the end, it's the players that make a game like this enjoyable long-term, and I'm glad I got to meet more of you through this event. I won't be naming any names except two, as otherwise I would inevitably forget someone. First, thanks go to Living Hellfire for coming up with the idea for the Matinée originally many, many moons ago and handing it off to me. Also, thanks to Miss Informed for encouraging me to take over the event and for setting up the global channel for it, even though I was horrible at MOTD maintenance.
If anyone is interested in taking over the event, shoot me a PM. Not that you need to really, but on the off chance more than one person is interested I can put all interested parties in touch with each other. Or you can do so in this very thread... whatever works.
