Tank Problem

Lately I have been on a few TFs, and other Mish with my WP tank and I have been noticing that I have been stunned/imm/held even with Indomitable will on. I am wondering if anyone else has been having this problem. But I also been having the same issue with my other tanks as well, like my SD/BA tank my fire/fire tank and even once on my stone/stone tank in granite. Anyone else been having that issue?

If you're catching a lot of mezzes all at once it will quickly overwhelm your mez protection. Carnie Master Illusionists are good at that, if you run into more than one in a mob they will both summon their pets and all 8 of them will fire Blind at you at the exact same time. That's around mag 16-24 of hold landing all at once, and it will hold just about anyone.

You tend to forget that most tank mez protection is in the 10-15 mag range and most mob mez's are in the 2-3 mag range, so once you're at 4+ mez's stacked at once there's a good chance of them affecting you.

Happens all the time with large groups of mezzers. You need to keep an eye on your buff icons to see how many mezzes are getting stacked on you so you can take proactive steps to avoid getting mezzed.

My only guess is that you're getting end drained and dropping your toggles. Other than facing Ghost Widow I think CMA's only been mezzed two or three times in 6 years and each time was facing a couple of Master Illusionists in a spawn who summoned their pets and then 8 Blinds went off in my face.

I know it sounds stupid but you weren't doing something silly like forgetting a toggle or clicking it twice? I did that once and didn't notice that the little circle wasn't going around the middle power on my tray #3.

You have a combat tab LSK. I'd of just read it.

I had my toggle up, but luckily the few times it did it it was for a few seconds. 1 time it did kill me though. I would like to read the dawn.

Can you remember which TFs and missions?

Just slap an Aegis status protection enhancement somewhere and you'll be fine. It works during the BAF trial when you get confused for being too close to the doors. I imagine it'll work elsewhere.

Uber Talgrim - level 50 emp/dark defender
Uber Rod - level 50 dark melee/regen scrapper
Rod Valdr - level 50 invuln/SS tanker
Talgrim - level 50 ninja/dark mastermind

OMG!! Please add these costume designs now!

The Aegis IO is 20% status resistance, not protection. It will make the mezzes last slightly shorter, but the real problem is that you're getting hit with the mezzes in the first place. Defense is the best way to avoid status effects once you have mez protection.

You are correct. Is there any enhancement that grants protection against mezzez?

Only the KB protection ones.

Also, technically, Clarion from the incarnate Destiny pool.

There's no way one mez guy in a +0 map is doing anything to you, and no I haven't noticed this on my Invul tank, my shield tank, my fire tank, my dark tank, or my willpower brute.

Either you're getting detoggled, don't have your toggle on, or are fighting massed carnival or malta baddies. Either that, or there's an AV/EB somewhere that you didn't notice.

If it's a tip mission, I suppose it's also possible that you're fighting PPD which do a lot of odd things. I haven't noticed detoggling, but they do debuff pretty much everything.

Short of Ghost Widow I don't think there's a mob in the game capable of breaking a tanker's mez shield without help. As long as the mez protection is active there's nothing other than truly massive numbers of Carnies or Malta capable of breaking it.

And by truly massive numbers I mean 5 or more mezzers shooting at you at once. Something in the OP's statement isn't adding up here. I've played melee characters for years and even with Scrappers getting mezzed is almost unheard of... it takes some really extreme (or possibly stupid) scrapper tricks to get mezzed. Since a Tanker has considerably better mez protection than the scrapper there's no way a normal spawn is holding you.

IF the OP is getting held WITH his mez protection active by a standard mob then there's a bug somewhere.

It might of been when there was a couple of mobs close to each other when it happened. Thanks I was just wondering. Dose any one know if there is anything besides ROM on the ITF when he rezes can stun a WP with toggles on them? That was another mish where my brute got stunned 2 times from his rez.

the mez from the fluffies in ITF is mag 12 stun which can overpower most mez toggles that only provide mag 10 protection

if you were fighting PPD, the robot bosses can launch a patch which as a very small chance to make you do the vomit animation which is essentially a hold but it wont detoggle your offensive toggles

those are the things i think you might be running into

Was your tank level 50 ? Mez prot scales up with level, and it's quite common to be stunned at lower level by ink men for example.

I don't know why LSK doesn't come out and say what the enemy group was.
