SLI or new card?
AFAIK, CoX still doesn't support SLI.

What's the resolution and size of the monitor you play on?
If you can get $80 for your 260, I would sell it and upgrade to something else. Unless you have to push a lot of pixels to your monitor, you are going to reach a point of diminishing returns, and sli might be too much. Those Q6600 cpus are stalwarts (i have one!), but at a certain point you're not going to see a lot of direct improvement.
I'd personally go with a 460 or 5850 in the $150 or less range.
Rend this space....
Nvidia finally enabled SLI support for the game in their driver. Users were already seeing SLI improvements with absolutely no changes to the game's engine on the part of Paragon Studios when they updated their Nvidia driver sets.
Strike: The benefit of SLI is questionable depending on other components such as your processor and memory configuration.
While a second GTX 260 will indeed improve performance, you'd need to get an identical Evga model card for SLI to work. Good news is, you can, and they are only $200: http://www.pricewatch.com/search?q=E...96MB&gallery=1
Slight problem... that's also the price point for a new RadeonHD 6870: http://www.pricewatch.com/search?q=R...6870&gallery=1
Which won't have any problems what-so-ever dusting SLI'd GTX-260's.

Also, I thought SLI had been functional now. I just found someone in my area willing to sell a GTX295 for only about $50 more than I can sell my 260. Is this card functional now, or are there still driver and SLI issues?
Okay, back when they started fiddling with SLI in the game, I got together with a buddy of mine from nVidia.
He tossed a pair of GTX 470's and a fairly powerful test rig at the game and found this.
SLI enables higher resolution at acceptable framerates.
SLI enables higher graphical settings at acceptable framerates.
SLI does NOT really translate into an appreciable gain in top-end framerate at lower resolutions.
I don't know how much you follow the technical issues forum but there are at least 2 people with GTX295 who had issues. I haven't heard any update if this has been resolved. The fastest single card single GPU is the best answer. There are many good choices like ATI 6870, 6950, 6970 or Nvidia 460, 560, 570, 580. Of course, none of those are cheap.
I am running CoX on a 24" LCD monitor at 1920x1080.

Its worth bearing in mind if you end up picking beteen the 6950 and 6970 - buy the 6950 and flash the bios with one from a 6970 - they currently are identical hardware.

I am looking to upgrade my rig a bit, and the first thing I am looking to change is the video card. Here is my current setup:
EVGA GTX260 896MB
Intel Q6600 @ 2.8
4GB Patriot DDR3 RAM
EVGA nForce 780i SLI Motherboard
Zalman 850 watt SLI power supply
500GB 7200 RPM HDD
My goal is to try to purchase a new video card to achieve as close to maxed settings as possible in Ultra mode, without breaking the bank. I am considering purchasing another GTX260 and using an SLI configuration. I have also considered selling my GTX260 (someone has offered me $80 for it) and purchasing a new bigger single card solution, or purchasing 2 gtx460s that I can get for ~$225 total.
So what would my best solution be for increasing my ultra mode settings as much as possible for say, just over $200? Would I be better suited for an ATI 5xxx or 6xxx series or a new GTX card, or is a GTX260 addition for SLI my best option? Thanks!
