Same Exact Mission From Different Contacts?

I am not sure but I think I just came across a very strange in-game anomaly to where two different contacts in the same zone assigned me the same exact mission. In the three years I've been playing this game I have never come across this before. I read the info on the mission detail and they were exact. The first level 34 mission was from Allison King in Brickstown saying to Stop Prototype A-12 and its guards in Brickstown. The other level 34 mission I got was from Merisel Valenzuela also in Brickstown, same exact mission but in Atlas Park. Either one of two things has happened here. One, the dev's just ran out of content so some of the same missions with the same content might have overlapped each other or this "is" a strange anomaly that does not happen very often. Sort of like a total eclipse that may happen once every 75 years....heh. Anyone else experience this before?

There are a number of contacts which offer the exact same missions. However, AFAIK, it shouldn't be possible to get a pair of contacts offering the same mission.

I suspect a recent bug, as someone else mentioned having two Morality missions - one vanished when the other was done.

I had a similar experience a long time ago as well. I was trying to finish up all my old contacts and arcs so I could pick up Maria's AV arc (this was before Ouro even came out), and I ended up doing the same exact arc twice, from 2 different contacts. I don't think I had them both at the same exact time, but I did them back to back from each other anyway.

On a side note, you might be thinking of Hailey's Comet that comes around every 75 years. Total Eclipses happen at least every year... unless you are referring to the total eclipse happening at the same exact location, then it's probably closer to every 400 years. lol

There's a some missions shared between contacts with different origins, but not many. For example, both Collin Larson (a tech origin) and Christine Lansdale (Natural origin) both have the "Get over to Speilman's warehouse…" mission.

Additionally, it's possible to get two contacts with the same origin at the same level range through mayhem/safeguard missions. It doesn't happen often, but I've seen it happen.

So I ran both of these A-12 Prototype missions this morning before work. They both completed and then assigned me the next mish. They were also both the same missions from both contacts. So it seems that I now have two contacts in the Bricks who are giving me the same missions at level 34 and I suspect they will be the same missions until the end of their arcs. That's okay, at least I will know where blinkies will be when I do the second exact mission...heh.

Looking at Paragon Wiki, I see that Allison King and Merisel Valenzuela have several missions in common, which I know is pretty usual, especially among the older contacts. I don't know if it's normal to have two instances of the same mission active at once, because I usually finish one contact before talking to the next. Also, I notice that this Prototype A-12 mission isn't listed in the Wiki under either of those contact's mission lists. Must be new--maybe that has something to do with it?

There are 2 old blue side contacts that give all the same missions. Its either in the 30-35 range, or the 35-40 range ( I dont remember which). I remember finding this years ago when leveling my first character, and bug reporting it. I guess it never got fixed.
