Help with AT and Sets to go with a name...

I just grabbed "Slack Jawed Fool" (even though it violates my personal naming convention), because it was too cool to pass up.

However,...

what goes with it?
My gut reaction was brute.

Any help?

Yeah I'm thinking Brute as well. Mine would carry a wrench and a manhole cover.

SO I guess Mace/SHield would be my vote.

The real question is do we have access to blue suspenders and a straw coming out of our mouth?

Enjoy your day please.

Yep. My first thought was anything that looks like an improvised weapon - wrench, bat, etc.

My thinking:

1) Gotta have no mez protection. Sittin' there, gettin your tiny brain turned around by a Succubus, is classic and traditional.
2) If you're going for your CTRS (classic, traditional, rural stereotype), AR/something blaster would fit nicely. Sadly, you can't put bullet holes in the stop signs around town.
3) For the secondary, I'd go Energy, and custom-color the pompoms into near invisibility. The CTRS is famed for beating people with his fists.
4) For either a medieval yokel type or the Bo Duke CTRS, Arch/En would work as well.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

I haven't been able to get back into the forums in a few days (gggrrr) to thank you for the feedback.

I like the idea of the wrench or shovel wielding brute.

Great point on AR/ blaster offering a suitable mez hole, though.

No decision yet, but leaning towards the blaster.

I recommend the shovel. I believe it's available for both War Mace and Battle Axe, so you have your choice!

i'd also tend to think of an AT with Mind Control. Conversations with Slack Jawed Fools can leave one bored (Mesmerize, Mass Hypnosis), confused (Confuse, Mass Confusion), and suffering from severe headaches (Dominate, Total Domination and Terrify).

Dragon Magazine once published a writeup of the Hopeless character class. They gained the ability to induce Feeblemind in others just by talking to them at higher levels. How to get a character who never has more than 1-2 hp and can't use anything more complicated than padded armor and a club to a higher level is left as an exercise for the reader.
