The extra stuff apart from the badge is more of a loyalty reward - it was for the period when another game with a similar theme came out.

I predict..... Warwalkers in Atlas Park! Giant robots storming the city streets! All hands to battle stations! ^^
So, you're predicting unbearable amounts of lag in the Lowbie zones, and flocks of teams ignore requests to join from anyone not an Incarnate?

It's 106 miles to Grandville, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing faceless helmets

... Hit it ...

Not always. There is such a thing as a benevolent dictatorship where the dictator works for the good of the people and not himself. Not suprisingly, the number of benevolent dictators are very rare. Many dictators claim to be one, but few reach that level.

I believe it to be the most efficient form of government, but almost impossible to achieve since usually absolute power corrupts. Out of all the leaders you know, do you want any of them to have absolute power?

The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.

All argumentation aside, I find the Praetoria 1-20 experience a ton of fun.
It has varied storied arcs, a fresh look and it exits you into your preferred zone as well.

I'd logged just now to work on a new lowbie and found myself immersed in "The Protest" event, which got me a nice badge and allowed some nice interaction with the environment as well. Glad to see the lessons learned from GR are being carried into the regular game in the trials.

Now...the Developers having more foresight than we do, are aware that we are reaching INSANE amounts of individual power, correct? I mean...my Scrapper can cap her defenses, launch a huge fire AoE every few minutes and has pets as well...making regular content a bit more of a joke. While I do enjoy the ultimate power, are there any plans on having more trials to test our mettle, maybe even one where we face off against the Big Guy himself, shades of Lord Recluse's Strike Force?

Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!
168760: A Death in the Gish. 3 missions, 1-14. Easy to solo.

i think the bigger question is:

Is the vanguard pack unlocked account wide? Or is it like the anniversary badges, and you have to log into every character to get them within a certain amount of time?

Happy 7th Anniversary, City Of Heroes!!!

It was a chaotic yet fantastic night for those who tried to participate on both the Test Server and the Paragon Studios UStream Chat.

Among all the announcements (Steampunk pack!), Broadcast chatter, UStream chatter, and PM chatter, there were two AV spawns made the night a little extra for me:

1) After the spawn was defeated, I speculated "[Broadcast] Dynexus: Huh, that's what we get for complaining about Mother Mayhem? A chance to knock her out? What happens if we say things about Azuria?"

Low and behold, Azuria was spawned. (Images linked because some screenshots are large.)

She may have been a white-con, but she was tough! Still the players would not be thwarted their chance and managed to defeat her.

2) In the third-plus hour, Dr. Aeon was especially interested in keeping those in Pocket D scrambling after (and away from) enemy spawns. He even pulled out Public Enemy #1: Himself!

20110428R-2016b

What made this more super? He did it twice so I could get a screenshot! CoH has the best, and most interactive, Devs/Reps ever!

(And yes, those are Nemesis horses in the bottom left. They were also spawned to be "Oooh!" and "Awww!"ed over by player request.)

As Dr. Aeon himself put it:
"[Broadcast] Dr. Aeon: Dr. Aeon: Hardest GM in the game.
[Broadcast] Dr. Aeon: -Fact-"

Of course, it helped that he could generate an army of himself - who could generate further armies - which merrily rampaged.

Not to mention Dr. Aeon spawning, among many other things, Lusca a couple times.

20110428R-1932b

20110428R-1934b

And simultaneous multiples of the Freedom Phalanx.

20110428R-1953b

Who also had a cage match against their red-side opposition.

20110428R-2001b

20110428R-2005b

Kudos to the players to kept the rest of us from being instant-KO at the resuscitation area.

Once again, Happy 7th Anniversary!

Congratulations to the City Of Heroes team and all of us players that give them the reason to keep making our favorite game!

But the real question, GG, is did you join in the dogpile on Azuria?

As a temporary Rogue during the event, there were downsides and upsides.

On the downside, I couldn't parade my "Positron's Ally" badge while Positron was there during the first hour, because it currently read "Positron's Betrayer". Kinda felt having that badge featured would be unwanted trouble.

On the upside, I had free in-character reign to play with anything and everything I could target. ;->
