Really a One Minute Wait Time in Queue for BAF and LS Trials?

This past weekend, I logged on with a few of my level 50 toons to get some BAF and LS Trials in. To my surprise, when I would click on LFG tab to enter into the queue for these trials, my wait time was forever. When I say forever, I mean so long that I eventually logged off and did some more important stuff like take a nap....heh. Anyways, my question is if it says your minimum wait time is 1 minute then let it be 1 minute. Unless this is a glitch and this is something that cannot be changed due to long lengthy wait times? If it can be changed, then let's get it fixed so it will show how long you have to wait to get in. As you guys know, you cannot enter into other mish'es if you are in this queue. I know because I tried and it wouldn't work.

So I would say give us the real wait time and not the 1 minute fake time. I know people drop and quit and such so these numbers might change while you are in the queue. With that being said, then maybe there has to be another option. Now I did notice the little button at the bottom that says "first available". I can say I have not clicked that yet so I have no idea what that does? If someone can enlighten me on this, that'd be great.

Preformed Leagues botch the timer.
For every person who waits 2 hours there are 24 people who got in instantly in a preformed league.

The problem is that the majority of leagues are entering pre-formed which REALLY skews the wait times. If you don't want to wait then your best option is to go to whatever co-op zone is popular for forming leagues and join a pre-formed league (RWZ is popular on a lot of servers).

That will (supposedly) put you into a league that's already in progress. The downside is it only does it if the league is less than the minimum required for the trial which is not always a good sign (since it means one or more people already quit that league).

It's average wait time. And yes, the average gets skewed to the point where it doesn't seem to be meaningful information at all.

Some ppl have suggested that it should be # of ppl in queue instead of an estimated average wait time.

I wonder if pre-formed league leaders should leave one or two slots open each time to give LFG players a chance to get in on the fun.

The problem with that idea is we have no guarantee anyone else in in the queue. If we start with say 14 instead of 16 for Lambda that's a serious crutch.

On the other hand, starting with 16 instead of 24 for a BAF is no problem at all for a halfway-competant league.

Forget that feature. Almost nobody uses it successfully. Just go to Pocket-D or RWZ (whichever your server tends to use) and join a league there. They are forming constantly.

Because it scales. 20 instead of 24 however can be a bit of a pain.

The other problem is that if you leave a spot open, the person you pick up from the queue might be made the league leader.

so in other words the Queue is useless all around. Good to know.

Blazara Aura LVL 50 Fire/Psi Dom (with 125% recharge)
Flameboxer Aura LVL 50 SS/Fire Brute
Ice 'Em Aura LVL 50 Ice Tank
Darq Widow Fortune LVL 50 Fortunata (200% rech/Night Widow 192.5% rech)--thanks issue 19!

There is a good use for it: If you dc press it when your back online and it will give you a button that will allow you to rejoin the event.

Otherwise don't touch it just go to Pocket D or RWZ and join public TF channels.

Yep, this. It's pretty much a waste of time queuing.

If Paragon Studios had done it right, so Team and League leaders could advertise themselves as Teams looking for Members it would have been the right way to go about things.

Instead we got a new non-feature which no-one use.

I typically join the queue when I know I want a trial but still doing character maintenance. At the market, crafting etc. I'll also join the queue when zone hopping and looking for the typically faster preformed leagues.

I've completed lambada with 6 via a pick up on queue.

Not ideal, or typical though.

You can lock the teams first. This will still let people join (afaik) but stop randoms getting star.

It also urgently needs the ability to wait until xx members before starting. Starting with minimum no where near as good as starting with a full league. And you will start as min unless you luck out and join a preformed league thats left space.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

It's supposed to, but doesn't work.
