Positron and Numina Are Now an Item?
Well, is it possible for Numina to become corporeal for a bit of time?
Also, seeing as how Posi was unable to get close to people before, it makes sense that he'd be willing to fall for Numina. He's been in her place.
She's not quite a ghost either, so maybe there's a way for her to get her body back (well even for ghosts there could be a way, as this is comic book logic).

Sorry, totally off topic (what was the topic of this thread again?). But long in the past I painted Roles Royces--crazy stuff with airbrushes and sparkle paint--for an eccentric millionaire.
Hey now. That's like saying an automaker should feel cars are like their children

The Roles-Royce company does keep track off all their cars as if they are their children. They even want you to get their permission if you decide to paint your Roles-Royce. I had some interesting back-and-forths with them when I told them what I was planning on painting on some of their cars. I finally had to tell them to bugger off when they were less than agreeable in their replies.

Which would actually be a FAR more interesting take on it than this *nudge-nudge* *wink-wink* business, and a lot more profound.
So in some respects, had the Numitron thing started BEFORE Issue 10/11/whenever he got his body back, I might have bought into it more readily because theirs could have been a more, for want of a better/less punny term, spiritual relationship. It may never be consummated in the traditional fashion, but they'd understand each other in a way that the rest of the world (save other ghosts) could.

And just the general description of your opus sounds far more insightful into the dramatic possibilities raised by Positron's troubles. Indeed, the issues with "closeness" posed by your protagonists sounds very, very interesting, especially by comparison.

But theirs is canon, mine is fan fiction. Unless Tava ever manages to become either an Ascended Extra or Canon Immigrant... |
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

They've got the *wink wink nudge nudge* thing going... I'm hoping for "say no more."

Assuming the new zone is co-op, then the previously unknown Dr. Rebecca Colston, who also appears to use a blend of science and magic, could be involved in some way with any red side content in the new zone, while Numina and/or Positron could have the same role in any new blue side content in the zone.
And as the Hamidon was also created by a mix of magic and science, I think that could be a major theme of the I21 content.
Also, Positron and Numina make for quite a charming couple, so they might still feature even if the science and magic theme isn't such a big deal in I21
