Interface slot advice

So, I have a lvl 50+3 SS/WP brute. I chose Diamagnetic for my Interface slot because the -regen intrigued me. My question is: for my T4, should I get the 100% -regen/50% -to hit or the 100% -to hit/50% -regen. The reason I ask is because since my only aoe attacks are Footstomp and the Judgment power, I feel that 50% -regen will be plenty for boss/EB/AV encounters (where I'm focusing on single target attacks) and the 100% -to hit will be more effective for my occasional Footstomp/Judgment.

I'm just wondering if my thoughts on this are logical, since I don't really see too much of a benefit to having the 100% -regen over the -to hit without a damage aura or lots of aoe.

It's not actually a 100% debuff and 50% debuff. That's actually the percentage it has to apply itself on each attack.

The -tohit is 5% per application and the -regen is 15% per application and each can stack up to 4 times from all players that can apply it to a mob.

I only have one toon past the Alpha slot so far and that is my SS/Fire brute. For him he has plenty of damage and not so much defense so I'd much rather have the -tohit be 100% guaranteed.

The -regen does seem to help me defeat things even quicker.

I guess it's up to you on how your SS/WP plays. Do you feel you need to defeat things quicker or possibly more survivability?

Thank you for the advice. I knew it was activation percentage and not a 100% debuff, but I didn't know the actually debuff numbers, so thank you for those as well. I think I am going to go with the -to hit since combined with the WP taunt aura and soft-capped defense I'll almost never get hit.

While i highly recomend reactive interface i would go with more -regen than -tohit.

Almost every damage AT is taking Reactive. Unless it does damage even when someone already has a critter at a full stack, you won't get anything out of Reactive on a large team or trial. I suggest taking something other than Reactive so your team can cover all of the available debuffs, or at least getting two Interface procs. One can be for soloing and the other for teaming.

That's the route i took on my SS/WP Brute: Diamagnetic for Teaming, Reactive for Soloing (both at T3 right now).

I actually do plan to get more than one of the interface slots. Eventually, that is.
But when its comes to soloing or even running of in another direction or ahead of your team reactive is lightyears ahead of every other slot, hands down.

ultrawatt, I'm also planning to go the reactive route. I was wondering which route you plan to take on reactive though:

Reactive Core Flawless Interface: 75% -RES, 25% moderate fire DoT
Reactive Radial Flawless Interface: 25% -RES, 75% moderate fire DoT

I'm leaning more towards Core, but Radial with 75% moderate fire DoT looks tempting.

Radial. Even with only 25% chance you will hit the cap (right now they only stack 4 times, hear it was supposed to be 10 though) for that -res, and its only -2.5%. That extra dmg is the reason reactive is good.

But if it’s a high DoT build (like fire/ or /FA) it might not matter either way. Because it can proc for every tick of dmg in an attack, rather than every 10 seconds like IO procs.

But that’s just a theory right now with no numbers to back it up.

Got it. Thx for the input.

So... for something like my Stone Melee/Elec Armor Brute, reactive radial would be a good way to go?

yes

Reactive radial is the way to go if you have a damage aura for sure.

My main elec/elec is loving it you can just jump in a mob and just with your damage aura watch the extra ticks of damage form the fire proc, and its very easy to see it fire off.

For sets that are mainly aoe then this should help out when trying to whittle boss's down.

Where did you get these numbers? To clarity, I'm not doubting them. It's just that I've been trying to figure out how much -regen diagmagnetic applies and I can't find it in the combat log and the description of it is fail.

I am personally very interested in the Grav proc. I've not tested it out but when put in Lightning Field for example it should basically neuter everything around me making them stand there and watch as I pound them into the ground.

I suppose it would have to depend on how much each tick of the Reactive does though. I've not seen it yet and my Brute isn't quite at a point where I could experiment with them but hopefully in the near future.
