Hilarious BAF Bug

Two nights ago, I was on a BAF that experienced possibly my favorite bug in the history of City of Heroes (I meant to post this earlier, but real life sidetracked me):

After the entire League confirmed their readiness or whatever that popup box that teleports you into the Trial is called, we all found ourselves kicked out of the League again (this was AFTER the patch that supposedly fixed that).

But more importantly, we had all zoned into some poor mid-level guy's morality mission in Oranbega. After a fair amount of confusion from everyone, we zoned back out through the mission door (and found ourselves back in the Rikti War Zone) and went back on to run an incredibly successful BAF, including beating Nightstar and Siege in under two minutes.

Of course, about five minutes into the Trial a bunch of us got a mission complete badge from the morality mission.

Was this on Guardian? My SG co-leader said he had a League come visit him in a Tip mission yesterday.

I have to say, the bugs in I20 are some of the most novel yet.

I've heard of this happening a lot, and was under the impression they didn't actually fix the issue with the trials dropping. Sure wish I could experience it - would almost make up for losing your progress in the trial.

Also... it's a good thing that you can just switch sides anytime you want... could you imagine the outrage when badge hunters saw other heroes with villain-only Badges and they've fixed the bug? They would be SOOOOO angry.

No, Virtue.

And the funny thing is, this isn't a novel bug. It's just very old. Back when Newspaper missions first showed up, you could occasionally zone in to find yourself in someone else's mission...And if they were of the opposite alignment, you could both be flagged for PvP.

A few of us ran into this same thing on Justice a few nights back, but instead of a random morality mission we ended up on the second mission of an Imperious Task Force.

About 15 min later another trial crashed and that group found themselves on the third map with the same task force group.

I always did think this game could stand to be more like Demon's souls. Nothing like an evil player busting into YOUR game and ruining your day for no reason.

I recall a while back doing a Scanner mission on my then level 15 Tanker on a Sewers map and had to afk for a few minutes. When I came back,I saw my Tanker dead at the entrance and a couple of MM Thug Minions on the ground. I was quite shocked, not expecting to have my first death for this character by another player but it was still weird. I never had anymore accidental afk encounters since then but I'm sure its still possible,as the OP's whole BAF league were the vistors, heh.

Wasn't in a group - but solo in the queue, after it said a Lambda was ready, it sent me into someone's Frostfire mish. (this was about half an hour ago)

Last night I was putting away some IOs in my SG base when suddenly people I didn't know started popping up. About 7-8 in total. None of them from our Coalition. All were very confused and asking "did you DC from the trial too? Whose base is this?" Some managed to leave through the base exit but others had to use an Ouro portal.

I and 15 others got zoned into a a pair of defenders trying to kill an EB, lets just say after a few ??? and laughs we pwned the EB and exited to continue our BAF, with the two fenders happy and slighty bemused!

Over a year ago,my Tanker since then has already hit 50. Been a fun ride and one experience to never to forget when unexpected PVP occurs in a somewhat supposedly solo mission, though in this case, even if I wasn't afk, wouldn't have had a chance anyway against a very purple PC,heh.
