After watching Spartacus, I just can't watch her without thinking back to that show...

LL may always be Xena, but Lucretia is coming up a strong second.

As for King, I would say the combo of the super large injection of super juice combined with the injection of the cure (into his eye, nice shot JJ) caused it. Doesn't matter in the long run.

So George has a super power now, go George.

Okay we went from a 1st trimester premie to viable newborn in 5 seconds. So is he going to grow up fast or in spurts? Insert Power Pack/Franklin Richard references.

NSA plays SHIELD. Why not. Also up to this point they hadn't used their powers for anything intentionally bad or against law enforcement and did take down several super villains in the process. Maybe George's lair hacked into one too many databases and initially drew their attention. Or Xena may have started offering services early and they caught wind of that?

For me the show is good enough to enjoy watching but not good enough to miss if it goes away.

The thing I find funny about it is that the series which was supposed to be more light hearted and family oriented than Heroes has featured a lot more brutal killings. Including several by the heroic family.

That... sums up every TV show I've ever seen.

I'd like to think King's craziness this episode was a result of overdosing on the superjuice. Stephanie hinted as much. Good enough for me.

I want George's power to be Moist's from Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog. I mean, he IS a lawyer, right?

I'm sure he would if the costume creator let him...

Who did the Powells kill, aside from Dr. King who they had to kill to survive?

What about that flamey guy? The one they dumped a load of sand or ash or whatever on? Did he actually die?

There's also the shapeshifter. Though her "death" seemed more like an accident than anything else (when she impersonated Jim and Josh was going to take care of the body).

Electric guy was killed by his own powers, the Powells didn't do that to him. Fire guy I don't really remember, but I think it's unclear whether he lived or not.

I don't think there's a clear cut case of the Powells ever killing someone intentionally. If the bad guys ever died, it was because of something that happened in the course of the fight that killed them incidentally. I don't see how you can pin any of it on the Powells. What are they supposed to do, not defend themselves? Super powered fights are inherently dangerous in their world.

I gave the show a chance, mostly because I like the cast (a lot). But I made the mistake of becoming invested in the characters. I was enjoying it all until the episode before the finale.

During that episode, I had realized we had really dodged a bullet when Katie and Joshua broke up, because the last thing I wanted to see was her get pregnant with some super-powered baby. And,before the end of the episode we found out that was exactly what was happening. Predictable and silly, IMO.

I liked the show. But I sincerely think cancelling it now might be the best thing for it. I hope they prove me wrong

Fire guy was quite dead. He was in fire form and the sand put him out. He didn't turn back into a human - he just went away. That's why Jim was upset at the end of the episode - he did it to save Stephanie, and it was clearly self-defense, but yeah - dead.

All of the super-deaths were Disney-movie/comic book logic justified. It's ok if bad guys die due to their own villainy.

I think you guys caught all of the deaths. And yes I count miss shapeshifter. She was dead after all. The go juice is just really good at making people all better.

The only thing I don't like about the cast is the chemistry-free marriage between Julie Benz and Michael Chiklis. It's a bit squiky.

Thanks for the refresher, and I agree on the logic that renders the Powells innocent in the deaths. Not much else they could have done.

I don't hold the Powells responsible for any of the deaths. They were purely self defense. It just gets me that this supposedly ordinary family with extraordinary powers kills people and five minutes later they are like "Meh, stuff happens."

Just watch. If the series continues then the one thing that the family will be worried about won't be the fact that J.J. just killed somebody horribly which would send most people into therapy for years. Instead they will be worrying about Stephanie and Katie keeping their jobs with their boss dead.

This is a necessary evil to keep the show from becoming the moan fest that Heroes was. They're trying to keep the show light, a bit tongue-in-cheek with a bit of light drama. If there is to be a second season, adopting a more Silver Age attitude of "we don't kill our enemies" might serve them better, as the current approach is problematic, as you noted.

I have stuck with it through the whole run. Though it was almost painfully(and i mean almost stargate universe) slow at the begining, really i think things picked up really well after the mid-season break and it definately finished IMO on a high note.

I hope ABC gives it atleast one more half season and puts it in a better timeslot, cause being on the same night as glee i think is probably hurting it. It might not be the same demographic, but it definately doesnt have the buzz to compete with glee for the undecided audience. I think they should consider friday night being that another superhero show will be leaving a vacancy.

I didn't see an official thread on it, but as an epilogue to this thread the show officially go the axe on May 13. The show had it's problems, but it was an improvement over Heroes. That a superhero show was cancelled with no notice on a forum such as this shows what little interest the target audience actually had in the show in the end. Oh, well!

In my imagination, the Powell's will always be out there secretly working for the government to stop the bad guys.

This season has been rough. I lost 5 shows off of my season passes.

Don't think it was so much cancelled with no notice as the writing was on the wall and it had been discussed, along with V's cancellation. Iirc, someone mentioned (or linked to) another article that Benz and Chiklis were shopping around for pilots for next season. That pretty much states what needed to be knowed.

Good point. There was very little discussion of the show after the first couple of episodes around here though, and that was surely a bad sign.

I hear you. I kind of expected the axe after the Finale they gave us. I saw V being cancelled long before the season was over (it'd gotten worse with each episode's writing). But I think I was most disspointed in the Event getting cancelled, since it was finally ramping up to something good.

Oh well, maybe next year...

Not surprised, but still it's too bad.

Here's to a super-show that wasn't afraid to have their main character stop a train with his bare hands and get into fights that lasted more than 10 seconds.

Ya ABC put out its fall schedule and it was offically not on it.

Its to bad that a bad super hero show can go 10 season on one network but a decent one cant go more then 1 season on another. Unfortunately the majority of the new season i have seen from most networks is going reality/contests/soapopera. Basicly i guess they only want the female viewers now.

No Ordinary Family had its flaws yes, but it was a fun show. It would have been nice to try and find a nice friday night/saturday night spot for it where it wasnt competing against a Glee type success show.

The lack of a mask bothers me too.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

Not me it doesn't.

Look at it this way...the perp would have to state HOW Jim caught him. Namely, "This dude like totally tipped my car over! And punched through the door!". And let's be honest, Jim was not all that distinctive in terms of appearance. A slightly overweight, bald, white guy. No real distinguishing characteristics that would pass muster fingering him as the catcher.

Unless he was caught on camera doing something, of course.

I find it funny how many people say or said that however superman basicly pulled a curly down from his bangs and took off his glasses and stood talking to people a foot away that knew clark kent intimately and no one seemed to have issues with this at all.

And actually during the course of the show one of the detectives did realize it was him. Of course he was eventually killed off.
