Wanna play around with a toon with Drain Psy and I'v tried a Blaster and I just cant stand not having good Mez protection so going Dominator and lookin at what I would have between Blaster and a Dom I gotta say I like the Dominator toys better.

Planin on makin this bad boy tommorrow and cant really decide on a Primary atm.
Currently leaning towards Fire, Good damage to add on with Psi. But I would love some options on those who have experience with ?/psi

Tanks in Advance.

Plant/ is also another good option.

Im currently really enjoying my Elec/Psi Dom. Elec seems to Synergize well with Psi.

But yeah Plant anything works well lol, and Fire/Psi definitely has some nice damage output.

Plant/Psi is great, as is Fire/Psi. I also enjoy my Earth/Psi and Elec/Psi. Ice/Psi is also supposed to be pretty good, with all the stacking slows

Just remember that since the rebalancing the old guides are seriously obsolete. TK Thrust for example is a hefty damage power.

Fire is awesome. Have one.. One of my favorite toons. Working on an Elec/Psi now..

The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-

Wife has a plant dom so kinda wanna run with something else and I'm not a fan of the plant pet even though creepers and root is awesome(as well as the confusion).

I feeling the fire so think I'm gonna go with that and imps look fun =)

Fire/ is fun, but the early levels are a doozy. Even later on, it plays a lot more like a blaster because you only have two 'shutdown' powers commonly available- your ST Hold, and your AoE stun. As such, your focus will more often be 'kill it nownownow!" as your lockdown is a bit more thin. The faster these powers recharge, and the longer they last, the more safe you will be. On the upside, you will have a lot of +regen from drain psyche to recover quickly when damage does get through.

Hm. Because of drain psyche, the other more close-focused sets are also good pairs. Elec/ drain close up, so the +regen recovers from pre-sapped foes- that and the HUGE -recovery means they stay sapped. A less common suggestion? Ice/. It's got low damage, but pairing the close confuse with +regen seems pretty safe. That and the ice/psy pairing will have incredible -recharge it throws around.

I've helped a couple folks build elec/psi/mace, which is what my vote is for. Softcapped S/L and near perma drain psyche will let you stay in melee with improved regen/recov while sapping/killing everything. Arguably the safest build, IMO, though not as damaging.

I agree to that what Seldom and Infini said. I started a Elec/Psi a good Week ago which is now lvl35 and he is more fun and seems more survivable than my Fire/Psi. Damagewise the Fire/PSI outperforms Elec, sure, but Elec gives me a more safety and easier, smoother feeling.

Yeah my Dom is a Elec/Psi/Mace (planned anyways), The Biuld ends up with Softcapped Smasth/Lethal/Energy/Range Def. With basicly Perma Drain Psyche (30.52 sec recharge, still trying to see if I can squeeze just a tab bit more recharge in without messing up all the Def and everything else I biult in), with Drain Psyche and Conductive Aura up she hits 2480% Reg O_o which translates into 136.76 hps/sec. Recovery I forget the % but its just a smig shy of 31 End/Sec O_o.

Technicaly from a mechanical prespective I think Ice does it better then Mace. Do to its debuffs, along with Storm and Hiberante. However I really hate Frozen Armor from a Graphic standpoint for this toon. So Mace became a auto, its got a light pinkish aura effects, which works prefectly with the toon. As I have biuld her as a Psi/Psi style dominator (everything is colored that Psi pink/purple color for powers, background story shes a Psionic Vampire from the BAF... with a goal of devouring Mother Mayhem ).

I always forget to mention this, but the regen/recov numbers mentioned here are a bit above the caps set ingame. Recovery will cap out at around 12.5end/sec and regen caps somewhere between 8% and 9% hp/sec. Does are caps I've seen ingame with my mind/psi, whose DP is slotted with 5 doctored wounds and an Acc IO. Six mobs will cap his recovery (probably 7-8 if you exclude stamina and IO bonuses). Regen for me gets capped at 9-10 hits (not sure which it is).

My Mids regen is 2127% with maxed DP - to put it in perspective. That all said, don't be discouraged and underslot DP or anything. Any enhancement (even for recovery) will just let you cap with less mobs. Plus enhancing the regen buff also enhances the debuff, which can exceed the awesome -1000% regen that poison trap grants. Mine is 1089.8% with T4 Spiritual.

Fire/Psi was once all the rage, for farmers that is, but it wasn't animals they raised. Dare to be different my dear boy and roll an Ice/Psi Dominator. The stacking slows and -rech are effective additional controls and are quite a sight to behold. Drain Psyche makes running Arctic Air a breeze. THe set is highly underrated!
