Union: Liberty Force Journals
Megan (aka 'Shining Valkyrie')
(Magan thinks aloud within the vastness of her dimension of light.)
It's so infuriating. Seeing her satisfied with her lot in mortal life is depressing.
Months pass and she makes no move to regain herself. I just can't accept it.
She has always been the strong one I could look up to. My guide in this universe. The one who showed me a better way.
For what?
Now I am above all, alone. This was not how it was supposed to be. None of this is.
We now play the mortal game and I pretend to be intrigued while already knowing.
Feign weakness when faced with -insects-.
I know she will regain herself in the future, but time is running short. I feel it creeping up on this point in space, lured by that accursed well. Our darkness.
(a sinister smile creeps across her lips)
Perhaps . . . I could force her hand.
If it was to stop -me- . . then perhaps. . .
Shall I play the threat that would move her?
Babel's Journal
Last night something unexpected and unpleasant happened: I sensed my sister in this timestream!
Most people welcome relations with open arms, but my sister and I are not the best of friends. Quite the opposite in fact.
It happened late last night: I was between dreaming and awake when a flash of her face lit up my mind. At first I thought it was a nightmare, but then I heard her voice and felt her touch my arm. I remembered our last exchange, shortly before the flash of light which heralded my arrival in the future. We were fighting, Anita shouting abuse at me, threatening my very life, accusing me of betraying her and attempting to kill her. She was a mad, foaming-at-the-mouth creature.
But it didn't stop me from stepping in front of her before the light hit her. She is my sister, after all.
*A small hand held diary in the Possession of The Thunderer*
Something is wrong...I have re-read my past journal entries, my time training for the day I would return to Paragon City. It was full of purpose, of hope and belief.
I feel nothing.
At time Its like I know who I am, the man I want to be, the hero I want to become. Then it slips away, like...sand through my fingers.
I feel nothing.
I don't care, I don't care that people are getting hurt, I don't care that my team mates are being hurt, I don't care that this city needs me.
I feel nothing.
I write these words, and for a moment I can feel the anger, the passion rising and yet another moment later it is gone, when did I become this way? Why have I become this way?
Something is wrong, I feel the need to investigate and yet...I just don't care enough to try.

Public Record #2
Two of our comrades are indisposed.
Recently, we entreated the powerful villain known as Pseudonym. He has wrought some terrible curse upon one of our friends, and we sought a cure from him. My fear is that if we deal with this villain, and he profits from his crime, he will only grow bolder. It is troubling. We will search for other methods.
The other colleague has been affected by a kind of magical apathy that prevents him from processing the emotions he should be feeling. I can only hope a psychic or a mystic
can help him.
The rest of the team must stay strong and united if we are to continue to do our duty. It is my hope that with the recent return of Rogue Manipulator, this will be the case (not that I can find any fault with the leadership of Iron Vanguard, who has been nothing but exemplary).
In more uplifting news, I find that Foxienne, with whom I have teamed up with previously, has already met the majority of the Liberty Force. I invited her to visit the base (in part for recompense for a slight I visited on her), and was very pleased to see she got along well with everyone. In good spirits, we competed at the firing range, and again Foxienne demonstrated her formidable skill with a bow.
She is the kind of person who might be the glue to hold this team together, but alas, she already has other commitments.

Harold Simmons' personal log
There seems to be much activity within the Force recently, for better and worse.
Andrew has returned and is under some sort of spell, which is turning him into some sort of depressive sop, much like Max then.
Concerning Psuedonym, I'm surprised that no one seems to be on board for simply dropping a Cataphract on them. Nevermind.
End log.
((On a side note, sent this from my iPhone ^_^)
I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...
Notice to Liberty Force
Andrew has attacked and seriously injured Donna, or rather, I have reason to believe another personality has, named Dominic. She has been stabilised and will recover, but for everyone's safety, I believe Andrew should be incarcerated until his condition can be corrected.
I have been tracking Andrew's energy signature. I have not yet attacked him myself to avoid triggering Dominic's resurgence, perhaps overwhelming Andrew's own personality or harming bystanders. So far, he has not attacked again, but seems to wander as if in a daze.
We need a method of safely bringing him in. I would advise a teleport.

Babel's Journal
I'm sitting here in bed, thankfully not in the cold medbay, writing my journal with a smile on my face. Despite it all.
My head feels like it's on fire. I was attacked by an unknown assailant in the base and, thankfully, Andrew showed up. Apparently he had to pull a stone block off of me!
His spirits seem to have returned. That's why I am smiling.
Sol arrived to look at my wounds. Kheldian energy should be bottled, if that's what it feels like to be healed by it. I am still very much confined to sitting in my room all day, but considering the damage done to me in the attack I am grateful.
The name Dominic is playing on my mind. My attacker told me that was his name. So why can't I picture him? And why does my head hurt more when I try to think about it?
My thoughts are still with the Pseudonym matter. We're not working very well as a team. Not well at all. I think it may be time to extend my protection to my teammates, although I'll need more recuperation. I will raise it at the next meeting.
((OOC Note. Showdown with Pseudonym is on the 23rd of July, Saturday- If you want to come, please get to the base between 8 and 9 pm British time. Dangerous fight, so heavy hitters are the ones Iron wants most- and she may or may not be avoiding mentioning it to the weaker members of the team...
The people she's -definately- told are:
- Aerial Assault
- Prince Solar
- Civil Servant (Obviously)
- Shining Valkryie
- Lady Babel
Although I say Iron is avoiding telling the weaker team members, Echo 13 is quite happy to have the entire team online
See you tommorow, hopefully))
((My bad - the Grind Monster had possessed me - anywho, an excerpt from Babel's journal should follow...))
Babel's Journal
I made it as far as the library today - no mean feat as it is ten steps from my chamber door! Still, it felt better being able to walk and read at the same time, and so I did, reading several books on the matter of unified thought as I walked back to my bed.
The principals seem sound: According to various accounts, I need to gather my friends around me and begin a session of deep meditation lasting between ten minutes and half an hour. We must have some kind of physical focus - a candle is oft-cited - and I need to keep my power centred whilst allowing my teammates to use a portion of it.
It all seems rather easy but then some books are written that way. At least there's no magic involved. I just hope that those gathered for the confrontation that awaits us are open to the thought of having psychic power, albeit for a short time. Well, when I say psychic power, I mean the means to defend themselves.
Despite my doubts, I must remember that I was instrumental in restoring Iron.
I just hope that this Dominic does not return to disrupt my plan.
*Megan thinks to herself while sitting alone on a park bench in Kings Row after the fight with Pseudonym*
She used 'severance'?! I can't believe she would go so far just because I dispatched something evil in such a way.
Did she do it because of the choice I made or because she didn't want me to have 'sight' to follow her when she left us?
Moody as always, the emo goddess. *smiles with amusement*
I suppose this whole situation was kinda cruel to the others, especially Max, but it is all easily fixed should things deteriorate from here.
I did create a reality anchor the first time we fought Pseudonym. I wonder if the others even bothered to take note of the footprint I purposefully left before that fight started.
I did it infront of all of them after all.
Well I could have fixed it, had she not severed my powers. *sighs* No faith in me at all.
No matter. I got her back and in time too. No doubt she'll be emo for a while longer tho.
I had hoped to avoid her having to die.
*An hour later, Megan gets up and heads for the train station on foot*
Mmm. I'm sure her severance power has worn off by now, so why am I still grounded?
*Stops with a shocked expression*
Oh no. . . . This avatar has been . . . "ABANDONED!?"
Babel's Journal
Our encounter with Pseudonym has had a profound effect upon me:
I believe I was hit by one of his 'toys' as the others call them. A strange, black whip cut across my arm. The wound was barely a scratch but it has infected me somehow and I fear for my sanity.
I have started to hear voices, or more specifically a voice. I can't determine its gender or where it is, but it seems frightened. Luckily it has not told me to kill anyone. Or even do anything out of my usual character. But it troubles me.
To add to this, my powers also seem to be waxing: I can't always control them and this is becoming embarrassing when venturing out of the base. I can often hear stray thoughts that previously I was able to screen out, and some days I need only point in the direction of an object and it starts moving. Most troubling indeed.
Public Record #3
In the aftermath of our confrontation with Pseudonym, the Liberty Force finds itself reduced in number and in power; but also and most importantly, we have lost leadership and focus as well.
But there is still work to be done, so each of us must rise up to the challenge and do it.
While performing the sad task of reviewing Iron Vanguard's own discarded casework, I discovered the ongoing investigation into the Red Legion. A demon summoning cult that has been kidnapping people of all kinds in some strange arcane pattern; a pattern that our late comrade had deciphered and had predicted their next target; a certain office in Paragon City.
Following these notes Megan, Civil and I were able to assemble a team of assorted heroes to halt the kidnappings and track who was responsible!
Unfortunately, the cultists in question had some kind of 'suicide spell' that prevented us capturing any. A grisly business that left us without any suspect to interrogate. Megan knows something of their leader (called 'Scarlet'), but has no clue on location or motive. What are they doing with all these kidnapped people?
However, fortunately, we are not the only people who are investigating this case. Enara from the UN-sponsored HPD teamed up with us, and we rescued a certain John Taylor, a soldier from a unit codenamed 'Ares'.
After sharing our evidence, we have agreed to monitor the office that was targeted. If we are right, to follow their pattern they must try again to kidnap the people there within a week, and then we shall have them.
In the mean time, our top minds are pursuing other avenues of investigation. And I shall try and bolster our numbers with some of this city's finest heroes so we are better prepared next time.

OMG! How like, totally kewl are these characters?!1
Within a large open room inside a castle, located within a pocket dimension, Andrew scott, also known as the Thunderar, stood silent.
His eyes were closed, his breathing shallow, the air around him was calm and unmoving, the walls were cast in darkness while the center of the room was lit by an unknown source.
A small noise broke the eery silence, Andrews eyes opening, a flash of red lighting up the darkness as a large figure seemed to rocket forward towards him.
The figure hurtled towards him, fist outstretched, his eyes glowing a deep shade of red. Andrew threw up his arm, the assailants fist connecting with it, though he blocked the punch, the force of it caused Andrew to buckle a little under the pressure, though he kept his stance.
Bringing up his other fist he hit the red eyed man square in the jaw, a sound of thunder echoing through the room as it connected, sending the man flying into the darkness again.
The rooms silence was broken again, the ground shaking slightly as a piercing noise began to build up, increasing in pitch and volume until the ground beneath his feet started to crack slightly.
Andrews vision was blurring, the noise causing him to sway on the spot, his hands holding his head as tight as he could while he tried to find the source of the noise.
From across the room he saw a shadow in the darkness, straining to see through the shadows, he managed to see a pair of green eyes.
His own eyes glowed red for a brief moment before firing two eyes beams directly at the green eyes. Lighting up the darkness he saw that he had hit his attacker in the chest, continuing his attack for a few moments more until the noise had completely ceased.
Standing up, he took a moment to compose himself, trying to make his head stop spinning.
Once more from the darkness, 4 cloaked figures ran directly at him, Andrew simply smiled.
Bursting forward he flew directly at them, hitting the first one so hard it knocked him clear across the room, spinning in mid air he hit the second one in the shoulder from above, sending him crashing to the floor so hard it cracked.
The third one threw a few throwing stars at him from a distance while the last brought out a sword, flying straight at him.
Andrew brought his hand up, an electric field erecting around him, stopping the throwing stars in their tracks before they fell uselessly to the floor. He stepped forward in a blur of electricity, catching the sword with one hand, a shock travelling through the metal and into the fourth attacker, his body shaking violently before being shot back, collapsing on the floor.
Andrew calmly walked forward, his attention elsewhere as he looked around the room.
He gave the third assailant a quick glance before firing his eye beams at him, the beams piercing his chest, his body crashing to the floor.
From the darkness a white robed figure ran at him, his glowing blue eyes could be seen beneath his mask. Just as he was about to reach Andrew he vanished in a puff of smoke, reappearing a second later behind Andrew, kicking him square in the back.
As his attacker vanished into smoke again, Andrew stumbled forward, trying to regain balance he was hit in the face with another kick, thrashing in the direction it came from, he saw nothing but smoke.
The white robed attacker appeared again, attacking him head of with a series of hand to hand techniques, Andrew managed to quickly block them all before stepping back, his attacker vanishing into smoke.
Andrew clenched his fists, his body glowing brighter, electricity starting to surge around him. When his assailant appeared again, Andrew let out a loud yell, energy bursting from his body, tearing through some of the clothing of his attacker as it sent him flying backwards.
After a few moments Andrew smiled, closing his eyes again, the darkness around him began to fade as the room changed form, shapes swirling around him, forming something else entirely.
After a moment he opened his eyes, a large throne room stood before him, his three attackers standing silently at the bottom of the throne, currently occupied by a figure in shadow.
Andrew glanced around the room before taking a few steps forward, his three attackers kneeling before him.
"Have Vin fetch my armor, its time we see just what Liberty Force is made of".
Looking up at the figure sitting on the throne he chuckled humorlessly.
"Guard him well boys, wouldn't want anything to happen to him while I was gone"
The three men bowed their heads in understanding, all of them standing to watch Andrew as he left the room, a dark purpose in mind.

Record #4
Following from last weeks investigation (filed here), we found the Red Legion again caught us unprepared. It seems their plans allow for civilians captured from buildings nearby as well.
We responded quickly, and together with soldiers from Ares, we traced the mages through a portal back to their lair. Although we secured it, their mysterious leader, Scarlet wasn't to be found. Instead, only demons and mind-controlled body doubles were left to mock us.
I believe three tasks are left to us:
- We must find a way to stop the 'suicide spell' which is stopping us from taking any cultists in alive. It is a tragic loss of life.
- We must trace whatever this Scarlet's power source is, and stop it.
- We must capture Scarlet herself.
To that end, with consultation with some of the other long-standing members of the Liberty Force, I believe we should move forward without heirarchy or division between us. We should stand united as equals, where each of us pursues our own initiative, but with due respect for the initiative of others and always in a spirit of cooperation.

(( So basically, removing the ranks as IC things. No council, no security access protocol, etc. I'm thinking more Avengers/Justice League than a military organisation. Instead, the ranks will reflect the member's general standing within the group; as follows:
- Ally. For those too cool to be actual members, but are closely associated with us anyway. Eg. Dusk.
- Sidekick. For those who believe they're not fully fledged heroes yet, and require mentorship. Eg. Will of the North, Crash
- Hero. Basic sorta rank for most members.
- Trusted Hero. Basic sorta rank for those trusted with SG secrets, security access and stuff like that. Note that if a member becomes generally untrusted (say, for example, they're crazy), they can be bumped back down to Hero.
- Leader. The hero who is most respected at the moment, and so has the casting vote on important things and is generally the person who other folks look to for direction. Will be shifted around as attitudes change. Generally only listed here because SGs mechanically require one.
Any input on these things, or are we cool to go ahead?
Another outstanding issues: We need a motto! I'm thinking 'For Liberty', for nice and simple?
And for folks wanting to help resolve this case, please do show initiative and resolve things! Contact @Echo 13 for queries, etc.
Cheers for any input! ))

Combat Report
Date and Location: 17/08/11, at 2030 in base of Meta-Human liscened hero organisation "Liberty Force", co-ordinates [REDACTED].
Participants: Andrew Scott IE the meta-human "The Thunderar", meta-human "Megan", Sister Dusk (Hand of Artemis rank)
Situation: "Thunderar" entered Liberty Force base at 2027. Sister Dusk engaged due to prior information of "Thunderar"'s rogue behaviour. "Megan" engaged at 2040 hours, assisting Sister Dusk.
Outcome: "Thunderar" was defeated due to Sister Dusk using the power supressors in the gymnasium in the base, shutting off "Thunderar"'s powers and affecting with several doses of tranquiliser, in the form of crossbow bolts and some coated on a blade. "Megan" also shot "Thunderar" with several tranquiliser rounds. No serious injuries were sustained by either "Megan" or Sister Dusk. "Thunderar" was detained in the power suppressed holding cell for future efforts to resolve his behaviour. Strange armour was stored in a secure location.
Theories: Sister Dusk is quite certain that "Thunderar" was victim to possession of a magical nature. She is handing over further investigation to "Liberty Force"

((Oh, and on the rank matter: Damn straight Dusk is too cool for LF officially :P. I'm not keen on that motto though. Sounds too much like the Longbow one...
Possibly a special rank for redeemed villains/people who are on probabtion as such, like Quantanimator? I know other than him we don't have any yet, but worth considering- never know who could turn up.))

I'm currently searching through the personnel records of one of the reporters of The Paragon Times. The reporter in question recently put up an article regarding certain members of Liberty Force, namely Civil servant, Megan, Lady Babel and what looks like Dusk, the assassin Iron decided to test us against a few months back.
The article seems to strongly imply that those named committed the murder of 12 employees of Crey Industries, the facility they supposedly attacked was bombed after the attack.
After speaking with some of them tonight, Prince Solar, a relatively new member of our team, decided the situation needed to be dealt with quickly, he, Megan, Babel and a new recruit by the name of Yessica went to investigate some of Crey industries operations in the hopes of finding out who framed them and why.
Thoughts of the subject...The article brought to light that though Liberty Force has had some victories...Its not without its problems.
It was able to name just a few of the issues members of our team has had in the past, apparently common knowledge, or maybe whoever decided to frame them has been watching us for a while...
I don't think the reporter was involved, I guess I'll have to see what they come up with when they return.
Personal log.
According to the others, I've been the subject of some sort of Possession for the past month, possibly longer. There are gaps in my memory...I remember returning to the city, feeling apart from things, people.
A lot has happened since I left, too much in fact. Iron's gone, Conall has vanished, no doubt searching for a way to bring her back, lets be honest, if anyone can come back from death its her...
Megan doesn't trust me...I don't blame her but...Its hard, knowing things happened because of me, that I've done things and there nothing I can do about it. That someone dared to...
*There's a pause for a few moments before a slight sigh*
I need to investigate this, I need to find out what the hell happened to me, I have to do something, anything...Dominic...It can't be a coincidence.
...End log.

Record #5
Following a recent newspaper article (see here), I feel it is necessary for Liberty Force to state it's position clearly: We will not be divided by slander.
Following our own investigation it is now clear that Crey framed us, no doubt with the aid of some villains we have yet to apprehend. We might not have the lawyers and resources to prove as such in the unfortunately fallible US Courts, but there is evidence enough for my own judgement.
We will stand united and strong against crime and corruption, wherever it may be, and no matter what weapons it wields.

Babel's 'NEW' Journal
Owing to an unfortunate incident whereby our living quarters have been flooded - something which does not make me at ease, considering our location - I have bought a new journal.
I doubt the old records will be salvageable by the time Crash has finished working on some kind of pressure pump. Oh well, perhaps it's for the best.
Much has happened since I've had chance to put pen to paper: My condition is being kept under control by a device fashioned by Sol and Emran. It is, apparently, an adaptation of something called a Dimensional Grounding Ray. At any rate, one touch of the device seems to do the trick whenever I am feeling 'unstable'.
Speaking of which, I managed to speak with Andrew about the whole Dominic incident. He is troubled and is holding something back, from me and the rest of the team. I am keeping a close watch on him.
And we have many new recruits and allies, too numerous to mention here. Perhaps this Crey incident will serve us well, treacherous a thought as that is. Our efforts against the corporation have so far proved fruitless. I am hoping to speak with Councilman Birch, a city councillor we managed to save from Crey's clutches. He could be a good influence on our case.
Babel's Journal
My head hurts and I am resting in a hospital bed. I managed to ask someone if they would contact my teammates and instruct them to bring the journal here: I could be in for a while.
The cause of my hospitalisation is down to two things: A villain by the name of Scarlett and my own hot-headedness.
I was visiting the Talos PPD precinct near the station when I received a message from a girl calling herself Bex. Odd name and, as it turns out, odd girl: She's a Praetorian, claiming to be Resistance and for all I can tell she;s probably telling the truth. I don't like to broach the subject of mind-reading with those people - they've had enough of it on their homeworld by all accounts.
We met nearby on the hill that overlooks the station and she introduced me to some of her associates - a grim man with a tail and a Vanguard Operative who looked too much like Arachnos for my liking.
As we were talking, we became aware of somebody spying on us - it turned out to be Scarlett.
Now a few weeks ago, Liberty Force went up against her (somewhat indirectly) and Megan has some issues with her as a result. They used to be friends, I believe, or at least colleagues. The details were hazy and I didn't press further.
Scarlett was 'recruiting' innocent people to do her bidding, using some kind of magical mind control or somesuch. We won the day, at some loss to our moral wellbeing, and I believed we wouldn't see the woman responsible for some time. Until today.
Well, I don't know why I acted the way I did but I threw a punch at her, Megan arrived and we were backed up by our new Praetorian friend and her associates. Amidst the confusion, Scarlett hurled some arcane bolt at me and I fell to the ground in agony.
Apparently I screamed for some time and a 'dose' of the dimensional device was required.
And so here I am, in hospital, a veritable sitting duck. Hmm, perhaps I should request a transfer to our medical bay? Assuming there are no future floods planned...
Threat Report - "The Deck"
Threat priority - Low (Note, this may increase, but unlikely to explode rapidly)
Background
The Deck were formed after a villain known as Jack Diamonds (Alias) rose to prominence. Jack Diamonds has been subject to an unusual psychic indoctrination. Basically, if he were to lay eyes upon a symbol other than a Diamond, it would send him into a rage. Seeing a Diamond would have the opposite effect. As well, he has been physically enhanced and wields two daggers, making him more than a match for a meta human.
The Deck was formed at an unknown date, but what is known is that each 'inductee' is subjected to the same process. It is, apparently, random as to what their 'key symbol' would be but it would determine their place. The following documents these 'factions'
Clubs
Clubs always bare a club symbol on them and carry a blunt instrument around. They are always aggressive in nature and should not be underestimated. Known Clubs ranks are Clubber and Clubbing Order.
Spades
Spades are have a morbid fascination with chopping something up with a shovel (Or as they would say, a Spade) They wear a spade symbol on them at all times. Known Spades ranks are Spadesman, Spade Sniper and Spade Slicer.
Hearts
Often wearing outlandish clothing in mismatching patterns, their jovial nature disguises their murderous habits. They sometimes use a bow, but often they resort to a blade of some sort. Known Hearts ranks are Heart Render, Heart Piercer and Heart Stopper.
Diamonds
Taking the place at the top of the hierarchy, Diamonds are slightly less unhinged than their counter-parts, but their sanity advantage makes them incredibly deadly foes. They are not as numerous as the other factions, due to the fact that Jack Diamonds cannot attack them, and they cannot attack him. Known Diamonds ranks are Diamond Cutter and Diamond Smasher.
Discarded
Those that fail in any sort of sense are outcasted to the Discarded. Given over-charged immolation collars, they seek a fiery death. It is important to note that a Discarded may survive their immolation. Usually they do, but it is a grave mistake for one to survive, for they will be culled after the battle.
Notable Deck members
Jack Diamonds - Leader
Jack Diamonds, as detailed before, is their leader. He is said to be sinister and cunning and more than willing to deal with cutthroat business. He is not to be engaged alone, unless by a hero with high enough clearance.
Queen of Minds - Co-Leader
Being one of the few (Or only) females in The Deck, there is often allusion to three other Queens. She is the Queen of Diamonds, but is better known by her Queen of Minds title, due to her unlocked psychic abilities. Apparently, intel suggests that females who survive the process are either driven insane or develop minor psychic powers. Approach with extreme caution.
The Game of Chance - Prodigy(?)
The Game of Chance is spoken only in hushed tones. It is theorized that they are either a traitor or some great martyr. Either way, most, if not all members picked up their 'Game', in that an incapacitated victim would be given a chance to live if they could draw the right card from a choice of four. There is no image profile on this individual, if they are even an individual at all.
Boss-class Faction Members
Though too numerous to name individually, they deserve mention. Inevitably, should a member survive long enouh, they may opt (Or be chosen for) technological and scientific augmentation. If they are lucky, they will have the strength and toughness of many men, at the cost of any semblance to a human being.
Notes on Deck equipment
The Deck seem to arm themselves with what is appropriate and easiest to aquire. Thus they tend to carry average or worse melee weapons and Spade Snipers tend to stick with one kind of rifle.
All Deck members are given Immolation Collars (Given isn't the right term, more like 'forced upon') These have a chance to activate when the wearer is finally knocked unconcious, or remotely, though most members have no idea how to use them.
Notes on Deck training
Deck members have no specialist training and swing their weapons with wild abandon. However, they are adept at soaking up pain and even getting up when beaten to the ground. They also function well when the Deck is in a mixed battle group, as they will go through lulls of boiling rage and more calm, collected thoughts; One moment being an effective squad, a glance later turning into a frothing, mad horde.
SUMMARY
The Deck are not a large group yet. Their numbers barely surpass triple figures. They are a threat and should be dealt with, but there isn't any need to rush yet.
So far the Deck have been establishing temporary strongholds, but have no set 'base'. They are often in conflict with the gangs of the Isles and Paragon City, and more interestingly the Carnival of Shadows. This may be worth investigating.
END REPORT
I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...
((An Email sent to the members of the LF))
Greetings.
Due to our endavours with the man known as Dominic, I have had a little personal tinker as to how we may resolve this, so far all I have is raw sketches. I ran them by with Bex, who seemed approving, I am hoping to detail them out and start working soon. I will also take suggestion on how to proceed.
Basically, the plan is to build a stationary platform, surrounded by four pylons, each that
can hold it's dimensional wall. It will function as a dimensional pocket, or in this case, a dimensional cage for dominic (mind you I do not speak of the magic sort). I have an ally outside the Liberty Force whom I am certain can help me acquire the technology, as well as revert it into the architecture. I was almost more the craftsman. Furthermore, we will need the help of the Liberty Force's mages. If they can make something we can embed in the pylons, we are planning to have them emit a signal to repress Dominic's dominating force. We will keep him trapped, without abilites. this also opens up for the opportunity to question him, undisturbed inside the pocket.
The platform will be stationary. This means to things: We can not move it, and we will need to lure Dominic out with something or someone. I do not feel that it is my decision to make as to which one. I suggest building the platform in the Eden forest. The woodland is thick, and from my training I have learned a thing or two about ambushes. We can easily conceal the pylons along with the platform. If we decide to use -someone-, we still need to think of a way to get them out of there after we seal the pocket.
These are the thougths. So far I only have the ideas, but if I am given the technology I am fairly certain can I start building it soon. Of course, the more hands, the faster we'll get it up and running.

Tonight I decided to go over our most recent enemy list to make sure everyone is up to speed, as I stated in the meeting Pseudonym is out of action as far as we know.
Scarlet hasn't been seen since the groups last encounter and Dominic is...still on our minds.
Yessica and Hex have been working on a way to protect our base from any kind of outside magical influence, namely possession. They apparently have everything they need, just some last minute touch ups and we can rest a little easier at night.
Crash and Bex have come up with a plan to contain Dominic, but I'm not sure how long we could keep him locked up, something I need to talk to Crash about.
Nova recently gave me information regarding an article about some of our Liberty Force members, they were framed by Crey, something we now have proof about, I'll have to thank her properly some time...
I sent the information to the press this afternoon, there has been a few news reports through the day but they said it would come out in tomorrows paper, front page news.
Megan may have a way to help Lady Babel, something called an accumulator, though getting to it might be more of a problem, still...if it helps Donna, it'll be worth the risk.
Personal Log.
....aha! Wow, think I should leave this one alone....um... Ok.
The situation with Dana is...frustrating, at best.
I know, I know she can't help it, that she might be trying to come back to us but...I also know what the past can do to your future. It shrouds it in darkness, destroys it bit by bit until all that drives you is making up for your past, instead of looking forward to the future.
You keep thinking about it until that's all you think about, missing whats right in front of you, trapping you in a place that doesn't exist anymore...
*Sighs* And hey can't say much for my own life right now, um...trying to help everyone in Liberty Force, new faces that need help, guidance, and I'm not sure I'm the one to help them...
And then there's Megan...ha, big can of worms there...all I can do is keep believing, as I always have done, as I always will do...for Paragon.
...End log.

Babel's Journal
I spent a portion of my time back with Liberty Force apologising and being unhelpful. I was shocked to see Civil in his undead state, although he's determined to hang on to his humanity. Mainly by being more cynical and defeatist than he's ever been since I've known him.
He asked me where I had been and I couldn't very well tell him that I'd, for want of a better phrase, had a better offer. Although I did tell him that Monty had theorised the possible return to my time. Typically, Civil used this revelation to reflect even more on his own predicament. I'm choosing to believe he would rather I stay than go.
Dana has been made our leader in Jack's absence. She's a tough character, faced with a myriad of difficult decisions. And I've no cause for complaint, seeing as I abandoned my teammates to venture off into the dark halls of the Midnighter Club... and beyond.
Andrew has apparently returned at much the same time as me. And Q, formerly our adversary Tyrannix, is some kind of father. Although I can only guess at what his children are like.
Monty has mentioned Peacebringers and Warshades to me. He thinks I can't read them due to the duality of their situation. That and they were not present in my time. I seem able to adapt to many things, but alien lifeforms are not my forte.
I am willing myself to take up active duties again. I will need some funds to try and carve out a normal existence, beyond the fights with villains and, dare I say, Liberty Force itself. But what can I do? Everything in the City requires documents to prove who I am and I simply don't have them. Forgery is illegal. But I'm not a stranger to going against the state. I'll have to see if my teammates have any ideas.
