AERIAL ASSAULT - MISSION REPORT
Today, Liberty Force acted on intel gained from a False Man of the Forged Conclave.
The Conclave were to meet an unknown organization at a warehouse in the Rikti War Zone. Once clearance had been granted by Vanguard, we moved in.
The operation went smoothly. Some injuries were sustained, but nothing serious. We encountered the unknown organization and fought some of their personell, but not enough were fielded for us to properly analyze them.
However, once the lead False Man had been defeated, we were ambushed by an Arachnos Strike Team lead by Executioner Cyrus. We dealt with the Strike Team quickly and efficiently, then confiscated what cybernetics we could.
Determined to find out Arachnos' involvement, we took the Liberty Force Submarine to the Etoile Isles, to a remote Arachnos base.
As it turned out, it was not so remote, so we fought through several groups of Arachnos combatants until we got to an access terminal.
There, using the access codes I had swiped from the defeated base commander, I quickly gleamed the relation between Arachnos, the False Men and the other party.
They turned out to be called the 'Darkmane Conglomeration'
Their relationship was that Arachnos had been paid, whether in money, items or services, to allow the usage of several warehouses and a guarantee of protection.
Following on this, we quickly made our way to a Darkmane controlled warehouse.
Inside, we found the Darkmane militants ready for us, and used a wide variety of attacks, namely, radiation, poisons, high-tech weaponry and otherwise brute force. They were also backed up by several Arachnos groups.
We located the militant in charge and defeated him, but he activated a medi-porter before we could properly apprehend him.
The Darkmane militants seem well-trained and armed, and operate much like the Malta Group. We would be wise to stay wary.
When we returned to base, the debriefing was very long.
We discussed legal issues, and agreed that we acted with good justification, should the issue rise that the Darkmane wish to pursue legal action.
We also discussed on Arachnos' involvement, especially their deployment of one of their Krimzon Guard operatives, indicating their interest in the False Men and the Darkmane.
Then we discussed our next courses of action:
- Marcus shall investigate the Darkmane Conglomeration, to gain leverage on them should we face legal issues
- Enara shall collaborate with her contacts to protect us from legal issues both in Paragon and the Isles, as well as helping us act covertly in the Isles
- Sam will attempt to 'possess' a False Man and try and extract what infomation she can. Should the test be successfull, she will attempt to work as espionage, giving us inside info on the False Men
- Sol and Kate will be availiable when the time inevitably comes when we must fight.
- I will pursue the issue pertaining to the Conclave's cybernetic classes, and attempt to uncover the connection between the Conclave and a unknown member of Congress
With that, the debriefing was drawn to a close and we went our seperate ways.
PERSONAL NOTE
It makes me proud to be a long time member of Liberty Force. From seeing it form under the leadership of the Rogue Manipulator, we have evolved to become one of the premier groups in Paragon City.
It has been a long journey. There have been fights, quarrels, tears and even bloodshed. We have suffered greatly sometimes, but we have never backed down in the face of evil. We may sometimes have disagreements, but when the time to fight arrives, we stand unified.
I've seen our base of operations change from a few large open rooms into a sprawling complex.
It is a great honour to serve alongside some of Paragon's finest.
So it is with great pleasure that I add the following:
When we eventually succeed in dismantling the Forged Conclave, because we will, the Chief of Police has made us eligible for medals of service each.
Whilst for some of us who have tons of medals this may seem as 'just another medal', for some of our newer members this stands as one of the highest awards they can get, as well as being recognized as one of the best heroes the world has to offer.
It will also put Liberty Force into the spotlight. Shown as the best heroes in the fight for justice and freedom.
The Chief of Police has also organized for a front page on the Paragon Times when our operation is complete. Once again, it goes without saying that this is good for Liberty Force. Those with issues relating to identity, can contact me on this.
All in all, I am very happy to serve with Liberty Force. We have our disagreements and our sulks, but we're the best there is.

AERIAL ASSAULT - LOG
I met an old member, Max aka Civil Servant at Pocket D. I'm not going to disclose what was said, as it is a personal matter.
But he did remind me of something I shall put forward to the group, and I will lay out the BETA version here:
For a while now, we have been operating under a 'Three leader' structure. Though this has and is serving us well, there are still gaps that need to be addressed.
Members are often confused as who to follow, as sometimes we give conflicting or stressing orders.
I am proposing that the three leaders, which are unofficially recognized as myself, Sol and Athena, be split into certain areas of command.
Athena I believe is well-suited for the role of Battle Leader. Undoubtedly one of our most powerful and oldest (in age) members, she would be more suited to leading our members in large conflicts.
Sol is also a good combatant, but I believe to be more suited with conversing with people than myself and Athena. Which is why I believe he should be in charge of, basically, the new people. This will be built upon in deliberations.
As for me, well. It's paperwork, basically, but also intelligence and anything that falls into these categories.
Like I said, I wish to discuss this both with Sol and Athena and with the rest of the group before it's even considered being put to use.

Greetings to all.
I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New years, whether you celebrate those holidays or not, I myself decided to take a trip to the UK with Bolt, a nice change of scenery for us both.
I did however have another reason for coming here, there's a group trying to gain a foothold in Paragon, unfortunately one hiding in plain site, for this reason alone I haven't been able to make a strong enough move against it.
The source of this group however, has been traced back here, to Britain, so myself and Bolt have decided to stay and see what we can do about it here, I've also decided to ask for the aid of one of our newest members, Cosmic.
Hes a rookie in terms of being a hero, which is why I wanted him here so I could handle his training personally, I hope no-one minds.
Should anyone wish to reach me, I'll have my communicator with me at all times, like I always do, and of course I'm just a flight away if I'm needed for anything urgent back home.
I mean it, if you need me, I'm there.
Until our return then, I hope everyone stays safe and well.

hostage situation. 40 hostages held by metahumans with degrading Northern Watch indoctrination. Withdrawal from psychic and chemical support was killing them. traded Monica for hostages. trade went smoothly.
only a ruse of course. glad people still trusted my judgement however. Monica's damage potential exceeds 40 people however. instead tracked them to their base in First Ward. used Seer Network and blueprint of Monica's own indoctrination to reverse theirs.
saved many. no casualties. (Monica still comatose. possibly safer that way. sure some psychic will heal her regardless)
then met Foster in PD. whiskey. chatted science. went to Foxie's Den. dinner. more drinking. he wore fox costume. danced for me. then 'bouncy castle' themed room. dilated time from minutes to hours. tomorrow still came too soon.

Got kidnapped by Carnies from another dimension for a couple of months. Finally got released five days ago- got caught a bit before christmas. I'd walked straight into a trap- Portal Corp. wanted me to check out a warehouse which had gone dark, and, well, I've never been good with psychics.
They used some sort of soul/psyche trap gem. It's supressing my powers, but I doubt it will take long to get rid of. These things never do. Until then, though, I'm going to have to dig up the old Golem suit, so I don't feel completely useless.
Ravenhawk's leaving. Superiors ordered him away, something about his pilot being killed. Civillian casualties. I missed a lot, considering it was such a short space of time. Q caught me up.
Monica acted up, but is apparently okay now. Or comatose. Couldn't figure out which Q meant. People got into the base (again)- .net got kidnapped, Auxilliary got killed, but they're both back now (minus hands in .net's case). Apparently that's when my replacement got killed. False Men have been active, Simmons is looking into it. And Scarlet's been up to stuff. Incendria says she's looking into it, overseas.
Will see if I can catch Babel about this gem. I think it's psychic based- Carnies, after all- or else magic. Going to need it out- It got seperated from me when I was trapped in here, and I need to recapture it before it causes any damage. Mara agrees. She and the others have been popping up more often than usual. Probably related.

Hello.... Hello.... Is anyone there? Can anyone hear me? This is The Rogue Manipulator... Can anyone hear me?
Look, if there is anyone there, I am stuck. I have been for about 9 months. I was on a routine trip back to my home world and for some reason the dimensional rift closed on me and I was unable to get back to either side. I met a Void Walker here, it has helped me survive in this vast wasteland and has aided me in learning about inter-dimensional communication. Luckily your frequencies haven't changed so I was able to focus in on the base and log into your computers to send this message.
I am sending - along with this message - the correct coding and frequencies to open the rift and allow me back through... that is if you wish me to return... I am also sending the relevant information for you to send a return message to me should you wish to.
My friends, I am so sorry for leaving you and I understand that in my absence you will have fully moved on without me, I do not wish to return and take over as the leader I was, I simply request to be a member of your team.
I hope you receive this message soon.

((Ok so, this is the ooc reason for my absence... I went into my final year of uni last october and it was also the same time as my subscription ran out, so as to focus on my studies and to remove any distractions, I didn't renew it and i didn't want to be a free member because of the restrictions. I am sorry I didn't let anyone know about this it was a split second decision. Hope you can all understand as I have really missed being part of this team. I have been in game and for some reason i am no longer in the group... please could i arrange my re-invitation... hope this is ok!!

It's all gone to hell, things used to be simple enough, aim the gun, pull the trigger. Not anymore, having coped with the FBSA for so long its time that I branch off and get away from the manipulation and false truths, I'm recruiting my old squad again, this time, we're doing things the old fashioned way.

The government have accepted the agreement to me setting up my own operation, under their watch, I'll do my job as I did before, but how I like it, less regulations and best of all, I choose what to do, what assignments to take and what I do with the funding, I guess the FBSA will no doubt keep their eye on me, but hopefully they wont get in the way too much.

Everything's coming together, the former Marines Black Ops I worked with have transferred to my operation, I'll be seeing Cutter, Sabre, Switch, Cobra, Viper and Phoenix soon enough. In other news, Bex has decided the theme of the day is unfaithfulness, and with a hot headed merc at that, good riddance... she was just doing another social experiment anyway.

Christmas party went better than I expected, alot of friendly faces, security was tight in case of gatecrashers, Tanis was more than pleased to hear of me going back to my soldiering ways, and she looked good, very good. I even got lucky, but nothing committed, never is, guess thats how it is.

Normal patrol it seemed, until I uncovered a praetorian plot to recruit people into fighting for them, so I infiltrated their ranks and shut it down from the inside, Maelstrom was leading the whole thing, after I dealt with that I had heroes help me with the bomb plots in the sewers, Mary was there... and not exactly pleased about having to go through the sewers, I'll make it up to her.

I'm on a medical bed right now, want to know why? because hitting on Mary eventually leads to you getting stabbed at the worst time possible, you know what I mean, we hooked up and she lost control of her powers, next thing I knew I've been skewered in the gut, lucky me huh? Cutter will fix this, the physical damage anyway.

Word got out about what happened, I knew it couldn't stay a secret for long, but in less than 24 hours it was out. Bex made her passive aggressive judgements about it again, but who's she to lecture me about hitting the sack with anybody? after what she's done it's probably to make herself seem a better person, besides, Tanis thought it was funny, and was sorta encouraging about it. Wish I knew her a little better, she's alright in my books.
