Question about level shift:
Yes, I've taken some of my -1 settings and moved them to +0.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I play for the story. If I want it hard I fight malta, Rularuu or other hard enemies.
If the enemy dies faster, I get to see the next bit of the story sooner, that's not boring, that's efficient. =)
Freaks at +4 instead of +3 is boring nomatter if it is x0 or x8.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

I didnt start this up to see how tough anyone was or to prove bravery or anything.
I was just seeing if the player base thought that level shifting was making the "old" game too easy. There's been lots of claims of "The old game will be lost if we pursue incarnate track, no longer able to do what we used to do with our friends, thats what I've been reading.
I know I have not upped my difficulty on my 2 characters that are 50[+1] level. I invite players that are not level shifted and the missions still have to work for them too. I still find myself dying, therefore challenged, at my existing setting.
FYI, I never run at +3 much less +4. Don't find it fun at all. I was at +1 before the level shift and am +1 after the level shift. I take that back, my SR scrapper went from 0 to +1 once he attained Nerve Radial Revamp alpha.

You're dissatisfied with the views/replies ratio?
A person should post on the forums because they're interested in dialogue, not because they want their ego stroked.
Good lord man, get a grip.
On my level shifted character I've been keeping the same difficulty as he used to use. I like that he feels more powerful against level 50 enemies.
That's how I think a character who is becoming an Incarnate SHOULD feel.

1) On my main, I'm frequently exemped for task forces so I lose all incarnate stuff.
2) Or, I'm doing something difficult enough that I'm GLAD for the level shift. (Apex, Tin Mage, etc)
3) In hindsight, it seems I rarely do 'regular' content at level 50.
4) Or, if I'm playing a level-shifted tank, I don't care about challenge. I want to be the toughest thing on the map.

I don't change the lvl diff but now I am able to up the amount of mobs.
This way the individual mobs are easier but I can take more on at a time. That to me feels like I am more powerfull.

How many of you, on your level shifted toons, have found it necessary to up your difficulty for soloing missions, to keep it interesting? either a level increase or a numbers increase? Have you gone to yes on Bosses now, when previously you avoided them? Have you gone to AV over EB?

I did not change anything about EBs/AVs. In general I turn AVs off, unless I specifically want to try to solo them. I like trying to doing on new characters, but not generally while playing existing ones. It also depends heavily on AT/powerset.

Only changed my settings on one character who was level shifted. My Kinetic Melee toon since non even con enemies suffer knockback rather then knockdown from some of his attacks. Put it up to +1 and everything was fine again.
All the rest (5 level shifted) I kept at +0 where I usually play and just up the number of enemies to increase difficulty.
I took about 5 characters through the incarnate unlock arc before I found the one I thought would be the most fun to play (forgot about him for over 2 years), and most beneficial on teams.
My fire/dark corruptor plays at +0/x8 when soloing tips and Oro content and farms for inf. and shards. I use him to feel powerful and earn rewards for my other characters.
He is the only character I have that is level shifted. I don't fight bosses solo, because LTs drop faster and allow me to keep moving. I only fight EBs in arc missions, never AVs (unless teamed of course).

I only really solo for A-merits. Yes, I did bump my diff up a notch.
