The explosion right in front of her flung Ildela away, spinning end over end in the air before coming to a quite sudden halt against the side of a nearby building. Her shield flashed dangerously around her as it absorbed the majority of the impact. "Ugh... gonna feel that one in the morning", the stalker grumbled to herself. "Totally worth it though."

Quote:
There could be no doubt in anyone's mind as to the fate of the so-called soldier of the Most High.
Given that most superpowered beings in Paragon could quite comfortably take a rocket to the face and live, there really could be some doubt in some people's minds. A look around from where she was showed no sign of him though, so Ildela figured he'd either been killed or was sneaking away in an effort to not be killed. Either way he was no longer and immediate problem. For the moment she didn't move from where she was, trusting the others to save any endangered tram cars as she shook the spots out of her eyes and the ringing out of her ears.

----------------

Meanwhile inside the tram car, the other Ildela lacked Amatus' ability to take the coward's way out and phase through the wall. When the man spoke she looked out the front of the car to see, among other things, a familiar face. She'd have to say hi later. Right now though, she had bigger problems. Namely that the tram was about to crash. Making a split second decision she leapt into the air and pressed herself against the roof of the tram, pushing upwards with all the strength she could muster.

Which, sadly, was nowhere near enough to actually make the tram fly. She could and did, however, slow its fall considerably so as to give it a smoother and hopefully less dangerous touchdown. She may have even managed to take enough effective weight off the tram that Ineloo's net would be able to hold under the remainder. And if not, the Transformer could undoubtably at least lower it to the ground safely after catching it, if not actually hold it up.

As all the action seemed to have moved into the sky, and Ethan had yet to find any sort of ariel ability, he moved off to the right of the overhead monorail system and swapped out his gear to more fit in with this populated urban area. The Talon Combat Armour was replaced by his cleanest set of Pre-War Parkstroller Outfit and topped off with his Shady Hat, the fresh 10mm Pistol returned to his belt.

Guessing there must be some access to the monorail somewhere Ethan moved at a fast walk, following the overhead rail, trying to keep the other folk in sight, and looking around for any friendly faces.

“Ha ha, I’ll rally the hell out of the peasants, you just watch me, I could put any general in the Legions to shame” She spoke in an almost bubbly voice, seeming to forget the fact she had almost been blown up (And her essence construct men had been) a few seconds ago.

She darted around to the nearby civilians, mostly the ones who had come to stop and gawk, but one or two who were just going out their business were grabbed to, buoyed along by someone they found both as relentless as the pounding surf and almost impossible to argue with (Though some of the mystically inclined heroes watching the whole affair might have been able to sense there was some form of magic at play helping the bystanders follow Mirel’s orders).

In no time at all the easy to reach injured had been sorted and categorised with the strong civilians making their way to try and help people out of the tram (Or at least would be as soon as it hit the ground). Some of the lesser injuries were even being treated already, Mirel herself stood on top of a car directing the ebb and flow of people, seeming the happiest since she’d got here.

“You see surgeon, I am simply the best at this there is” She said with a giggle of delight.

Meanwhile, in Faultline...

There was a brief haze, followed by a warped and dulled crack as the portal flashed briefly, closing behind the shadowy figures that lurked now in one of the many tunnels.
"Transwarp signature: Traced. Interception: Underway."
"Where the frag are we, anyways?"
"Augh, we're servo deep in muck, that's what!"
"Yeah? Shouldn't make any difference to you then."
"Shut ya trap!"
"Enough. Begin Investigation: Current locale. Trace the Autobot transwarp signature. Current task: Infiltration."

There was silence for a while, before there was a sudden twisted feeling, a sharp rise in energy levels, and the stink of ozone.

Then a young man sauntered out into the sunlight, clad in ripped jeans and a black leather jacket, mousey blonde fringe bobbing slightly as he strolled up onto the street. Resting on his right shoulder was a slightly old fashioned boom-box radio, dark blue in colouration and playing music.
"Hey, watch it kiddo! This place is dangerous!" one of the nearby construction workers shouted over with a frown.
"Sure thing, gramps. Nooo problem," the youth shot back with a grin.
The worker shook his head with a grumble, watching as the kid and his music headed off down the road...

The two armored crewmen didn't need anything more than that, both the fingers of the tailless one as well as the silver claws of the other lodged in the seam of the right side door less than two seconds later and having pried the thing open just another thereafter. Oxana's armored feet hit the ground a mere few later.

"Spread out and search, standard pattern." she ordered as they made their way onto the scene, seeing with satisfaction that the recovery effort had already begun. A quick query of her datalink gave her unit the location and ETA of emergency vehicles on their way, specifically ambulances, prompting her to inform everyone around, "The local healers will be arriving here shortly! Focus on the most severely injured and prepare them for transport if possible! Be aware some may not be safe to move! If someone is trapped and not in immediate danger...!"

She continued to run down standard emergency assistance protocols as her hands reached into the rescue effort, using simple words and terms so even those from worlds where such things as doctors didn't exist would know what she was talking about and perform accordingly.

Sarkh for one finally gave himself a push and did just that, figuring that with the Captain having reconnected to their network and thus being aware of his presence, he was dead one way or another, so he might as well help. The sapphire-scaled dragon spread his wings and made for the scene in a gradual glide, carefully controlling his bulk in the (for him) relatively tight quarters. At the same time, the ambient moisture in the air increased drastically, damping flammable material and aiding to douse the leftover flames...

Two sets of dark heavy boots stepped seemingly out of thin air, on a far rooftop. They wore a similar uniform of armoured leather cassocks to that of the gunman preacher and were similarly armed. "Your majesty, the priestess" said the male soldier, greeting the other. "This is the world to which we have tracked Esau. He's dead your majesty, his twin brother Jacub will be most displeased."

"How did he die?" she asked, her long brown hair complementing her darker skin.

"Esau judged the sinners of this world and fought to gauge their mettle. He was greatly outnumbered your majesty," he explained to the lady, watching the aftermath of Esau's brief war down below. As the wild fires of the monorail lit up the night, she could make out the scattered remains of her soldier's arms and limbs. His various weapons littered the ground. "It would appear the natives of this world have caused much devastation to bring down just one ordinary man," the man continued. "Unlike his brother, Esau was a weak leader. He wielded great weapons but had no real magic to him."

"Yes. I dread to imagine what destruction Jacub could bring to this world in the name of righteous vengeance." With a twirl of her cassock, the priestess turned towards the portal. "I have seen enough Shimon. Judgement Day awaits the peoples of this realm. We shall bring down our Armageddon upon them."

"Yes your majesty," said Shimon, disappearing after his priestess. "I shall gather the troops."

" Yous donta wanta be doing that, ifa yous do i shall bring war upon your heads the likes of which you have never imagined.."

With a final icy gaze, the soldiers of the Most High disappeared into thin air. Never to be head of again... until the time was right.

Kings Row, back on the stopped tram...

"Hoo boy," The Outsider commented on the large drop below them. And a large drop it was, guaranteed to turn one's skull to mush or one's legs to a mess of torn flesh and shattered bone if one attempted to simply jump from it. "Well, there's no sense sitting up here helplessly."

"And how, may I ask, are we supposed to get down there, anyway?" Derek asked, to which the Outsider answered with mere silence, instead pulling her smartphone from her pocket and tapping away at the screen for a bit. Upon the last stroke a bright, though not blinding, flash filled the entire tram and once it had finally diminished his ally was once again in direct possession of the very chain she had originally intended to use on the giant crab earlier, one end still wrapped around the gearblade.

"I knew there was a good reason to keep hold of this." the Outsider cheerfully commented with a slight smirk. She then proceeded to wrap the gearblade end of the chain around the base of a pole near the doors of the tram at least twice before then looping the sword around the chain just once. Once that was over with, all that was necessary was to slip the blade itself under the chain and lay it down on the floor flat. "Hopefully this'll hold my weight. Yours too, Derek."

"I see..." Derek answered, seeing the eventual method in the young woman's apparent madness the moment she tossed the remaining length of chain out the door. "Well, ladies first, as I always say!"

"You never say that." the Outsider argued. "Mind you, every opportunity to do so was more often than not a life-threatening situation. Anyway, okay. Ladies first. Can't risk such a remarkable gentleman such as yourself making a bigger mess of things after all!"

"Lords dammit." the wanderer complained. The Outsider ignored his complaints in favour of getting on with the task at hand and sat down on the lip of the doorway. This brought her within reach of the dangling chain without the risk of stumbling over the edge trying to grab it, enabling her to then push herself out of the tram once she had gained a tight grip on her makeshift 'rope' and begin a careful descent back down to street level.

Derek took one more glance at the chain's 'anchor' to ensure that, as intended, its new-found burden ensured that the gearblade remained firmly pressed down flat on the floor, never given a chance to loosen any of the loops that kept the whole thing tied to that pole.

OOC: Normally I would wait for the train to actually 'land,' but events and previous narration have already pseudo-established that we are well past that point. BIC:

Quote:
“You see surgeon, I am simply the best at this there is” She said with a giggle of delight.
That statement brought another memory to the surface of Amatus' mind.

Quote:
They were in a manor atop a cliff overlooking the sea. He and Kev had fallen through the glass ceiling onto the floor below. 'Damnit Anlaar, can you do nothing right save being a complete pissant?' Amatus thought darkly as he got up, brushing glass off of his tattered clothing. And then he spotted the necromancer with her entourage of undead knights, and they began to exchange the usual repartee.

'What agency does this idiot belong to again?' Amatus thought idly as he spoke. The agency Amatus' group had repeatedly run into seemed determined to make themselves as annoying as possible. 'Oh right, them. What are they called? The Emerald Paw? The Green Cairn? The stupid green thing?' And Amatus' thoughts conveyed his actual feelings regarding the villainous organization: A sorry collection of incompetent ***** who were annoying them for no particularly good reason, going to unreasonable lengths to do so. Which might have actually worried Amatus, had they been anything other than utterly ineffectual in every way imaginable.

In truth though, he really found everything about this realm unimpressive. In comparison to the Majestic Interior Realm it was a complete trash-heap. The cities and towns were small and full of trash, the monsters were lacking in comparison to those of the Malevolence, and everybody was an unlearned barbarian. And the stars were silent.

The idiot from the viridian fruit made some form of threat or another. Amatus shrugged and said, "I would be terrified if you were actually a legitimate threat."

The idiot summoned a giant squid.

Amatus shrugged again. "Eh. Unimpressed."

The giant squid pulverized him with a tentacle as thick as a tree-trunk...
Amatus took care to not tell Mirel what he thought of her being 'the best.' It was not his place to go around insulting people at his whim anyway - and there was always the off chance she could summon giant squid.

He moved amongst the gathered people who had been escourted out of the fallen tram, firmly demanding all of them to stay where they were and await treatment. He addressed the obviously wounded first - the screamers and the whimperers, those who had obvious bleeding wounds, before moving on to those who were unconscious(or dead). With most of the people, he simply looked at them for a moment before placing a palm of their chests and generating a golden light that suffused their bodies, healing their injuries. With more serious cases, such as those who had received shrapnel fragments or burns, he removed several vials from the bag on his back. He filled these with a greenish secretion that seeped from his palms, and had the people ingest it. The secretion would disintegrate foreign material such as shrapnel while also strengthening the immune system and regenerating nerve tissue around burns, allowing it to heal more quickly. He would then direct these people to stand in a second group for a second round of treatment once he was done with the first group.

That work done, Amatus surveyed the crowd for anybody who appeared to be more grievously injured or dead.

He kept his mouth shut and listened to the locals , gathering knowledge on the region and its inhabitants, and its dangers and its riches. He took in the manner of dress, and the technology on display.
He also kept half an eye open for what the other crab beast fifgter where upto .

There was a gentle creak of metal. So far, no one had paid it much attention.

"Uhm, guys? A little help here would be prime," Quicksilver grunted from where he was hunched on one knee, supporting the de-railed tram car as best he could. While it showed no danger of slipping, it obviously wasn't the comfiest of places for the mechanoid.

At present, once of them was busy extricating herself from a minor crater in the side of a building. Or more precisely, gliding down from said crater to land almost right beside Ethan before taking a look around. Noting the civilians pitching in and lacking any useful medical training or experience of her own, she figured she'd leave them to it. "In hindsight, hijacking that missile might've been a bad idea", she commented, mostly to herself.

--------------

Meanwhile inside the downed tram car, Ildela was attempting to get out. With the power cut they of course didn't open automatically, so she and her two summoned gremlins had to resort to attempting to pry them open. Which went about as well as one might expect, a human with no more than normal human strength and a pair of insubstantial lightning monsters trying to open a door that in its natural unpowered state very much wanted to remain closed. Suffice to say, they remained where they were for now until someone lent a hand in getting the doors open. And probably more importantly, until the giant robot put the tram car down.

"Allow me." the newly landed Sarkh wound his bulk through the scene and past Quicksliver with agility something of his size had no right having, slipping in lithely beneath the elevated rail to take the mechanoid-upheld car into his claws. With a nod to the Cybertronian, he confirmed a curt, "You may let go."

Back 'below', Oxana observed the rescue efforts with a mixture of satisfaction and suspicion. Some of these people were acting rather...odd. True, that might've been simply due to their origins and cultures, but she tended to find it was better to err on the side of caution on these things. The manner of two of them bothered her especially. She made a note to keep an eye on them...

Shunting the car up a little with Sarkh's help, Silver slid out from under it and lay on his back with a sigh.
"Thanks man," he said with a faint grin, before glancing round as his optics tracked the others around the place. "Well...that coulda gone a whole lot worse, huh?"

Ineloo sighed with relief. This whole world seemed to be ridiculous! To be fair, there was a lot of trouble one could get into back home, but this just seemed to be on an entirely new level. The proliferation of mechanical devices and magic that were so casually used by the most mundane of people, not to mention the obviously powerful mages who flew through the air as if it was as easier than walking.

Returning the bow to her back, she glanced over the scene around the tram that was now resting safely on the ground and the two beings that were with it. She frowned as she looked over at the tracks - a chromatic dragon, blue, universally evil and prone to attack as soon as they noticed you, had not only helped the strange Warforged set the vehicle on the ground, but now seemed to be having a calm and reasonable conversation with him. Her first instinct was to run and avoid whatever nefarious plan the dragon had in mind, but her curiosity won out; perhaps he was not evil after all. This world was considerably different from Eberron, it would follow that the rules had changed.

Seeing that the healers were already dealing with the situation, and always preferring the direct approach to a conundrum, she sauntered over to the two. "If I may ask, what exactly are you both, and where are you from?" She chirped in her child-like voice, "You are both quite different from what I have learned to expect..."

"Don't go away mad, just go away..." The best line Clint never said.

Silver, still on his back, turned his head to look at her.
"Quicksilver's the name. Autobot and Cybertronian. Not that that'll mean much around here, I wager," he explaine with a wry grin. "I'm not from round here. Or, rather, not from here here. Like, I know Earth, but not this- Yeah, that just sounds wierd doesn't it?" he finished with a laugh, leaning his head back on the tarmac. "Ah well. Beats being fragged by a Decepticon Seeker anyday."

Edward surveyed the damage and sighed.

"Elise, Drones, gather and we'll address this band of interdimensional visitors."

"Sure thing Dad."

With that all the Drones that still functioned and Elise moved towards them.

They paused infront of them before a hologram projected from the chest of one of the Drones.

It was of an elderly, grey skinned man, dressed in a sleeveless labcoat, a completely cybernetic right arm, including hand and a cybernetic left hand. A bushy white beard and white pony tail stood in stark contrast to the grey skin.

"Right, listen up all of you, my name is one Doctor Edward Johnson, I may have been part of the reason why you're all here...but we'll get to that later, now unfortunately I'm having some trouble sending you home. The portals that brought you here are random as to where they lead to and the multiverse is quite a large place, they could lead anywhere, as you've probably guessed from the giant crab and the so called man of the Almighty."

He sighed and rubbed his forehead, "so...for now I'm asking that you atleast stick together somewhat so I don't have to track you all individually all the time and I can get my regular four hours sleep once a week without worrying about half of Paragon being exploded."

"Blowing up Paragon is kind of my job and atleast I'm stylish about it, now as a precaution I'm having my daughter Elise...that would be the large pink one..."

The assault bot waved her...well...plasma cannon, she lacked hands,"Hi!"

"...yes her, to keep an eye on you all as best she can so I can have my Drones back at my lab working on getting this sorted out, now I've contacted various other dimension versions of me, including the one responsible for launching the same experiment at the same time which caused all this...so with the greatest minds across the multiverse working on this we should have you back home in no time...hopefully...if it all goes well...if the multiverse doesn't implode..."

With that the hologram cut off, the Drones begun to take to the skies.

"Now with Dad off the radio, you want me to help you get to your feet handsome?"

Elise looking down at Quicksilver.

With a slight 'hmph' and a slight arching, the Autobot flipped himself upright with ease, and a solid sounding clank as his feet hit the tarmac again.
"I'm fine. Besides, aren't you a bit small to be hitting on people?" he added with a grin, looking down from fifteen foot up at the pink assault bot. "And what was all that about 'destroying Paragon'?"

"I dunno, it might mean more than you'd expect", Ildela spoke up, looking over at the robot. "I mean sure, as far as I know there's no Cybertron in this dimension. Is in a few others, though." How she knew that was anyone's guess but she seemed confident enough. She may have been about to go on but the touchdown of a sizable assault robot, this one of a more familiar design, drew her attention.

As did the hologram which it projected. "Mechano. Why am I not surprised", the stalker commented. Clearly she'd run into the scientist before.

"Pssh", the stalker replied, whether the hologram could hear her or not. "If I was going explode Paragon, for one I would've done it already, and for another I'd explode the whole damn thing. None of this halfassed stuff." To anyone familiar with Ildela that might actually be reassuring, but for those who didn't know her probably far less so.

Ethan left of applying bandages and strolled over to where the pink robot was presenting its holo show.

“ So is this level of ..” he glanced around “ conflict the norm for these parts ? ..and for the wackiness of folks, I mean I’va seen few place, but this seems extreme..”

Overhearing Mechano’s comments about portals Ethan looks a bit shifty, and slunk around behind the pink robot to hear clearly what the Doctor was saying. His left hand slid deep into a smaller back pack and half drew out a silver and black device with a number of blinking colour lights. Giving the device as quick glance , and then sending the glance around about to make sure no one was watching him too closely, he returned the device to his pack.

"For those in need of a home, there is a Safehouse that my father uses when visiting Paragon not too far from here, there's food enough for those not native to this dimension and a wide variety of it, you'll have to microwave it though."

"Or for those seeking a more tavernesque feel, I suggest heading to pocket D, the entrance to which is a van not far from here, I would be happy to guide you."

Looking up at Quicksilver, "hey, I'm smaller than you but I'm packing twin plasma cannons, a flamethrower and both incendary and fragmentation missiles...so don't give me no 'shorty' stuff or I'll blow out your hubcaps!"

Though it was said with just a hint of a giggle behind her voice, meaning it wasn't a serious threat.

"And yes, my father, Doctor Edward Johnson better known as the supervillain Doctor Mechano, does occasionally issue villainous threats against Paragon, though so far nobody has ever been hurt..they're more...pranks than anything else."

"Correct me... if I'm... wrong," the Outsider grunted, now approaching the end of the chain dangling from the remaining car still stopped on what was left of the tracks. Once she saw that there was no more chain to descend, though, she ensured that the drop between where she was and the ground below was safe to simply fall down and just... let go, landing on both feet with near-expert grace not unlike that of a professional gymnast. "Oof! Where was I? Ah, right. That wouldn't happen to be the same Doctor Mechano that unleashed a living weapon upon a gathering some months ago, would it?"

Meanwhile, Derek was a little ways behind his partner as he crawled down the chain with somewhat less skill behind his descent. Back on the ground, the Outsider casually folded her arms in wait of an answer from the pink automaton before everyone.

The sapphire-scaled Sarkh smirked toothily at this, but remained silent until Mechano had ceased to transmit, instead listening carefully while he gently set the tram cab upon the sidewalk. As the conversation progressed, the ebbing light of the dying fires painted his hide's luster ever more dark, the falling night eventually draping the huge dragon in polished obsidian.

"I am a storm dragon." he told the halfling quietly while he laid down and folded his wings, trying to minimize his presence at the edge of the scene, "From a world called Cerosia. Do tell, what do you mean by 'what you've learned to expect', hmm?"

"Quite likely yes." Captain Kalkartova answered that question with an air of personal conviction that could be easily heard in her tone, even through the electronic modulation of her armorsuit. Her visor regarded Elise with cold dispassion, and though neither she nor the other two armored figures reached for their weapons just yet, it was quite easy to see they were ready for a confrontation.

"Either way, the facts of the matter stand." she didn't give the mechanoid time to interject, instead making it clear that said particular detail didn't much matter to her in regard to the good Doctor's reputation, "Your creator is a villain and a madman. We won't be accepting any of his offers..."
