Best Geek/Pop Culture item you've ever seen?
You probably already know this, but in case you don't and for anyone else who doesn't:
The Tauntaun sleeping bag was originally an April Fool's joke at ThinkGeek.com, back in 2009. Much like the red Swingline stapler in "Office Space", so many people demanded one that it is now a reality and you can actually order a Tauntaun sleeping bag of your very own.

I'd bet if the guy spent all the time/money to make his apartment into some kind of Ultimate Sports Den including part that looked like a football (American or otherwise) locker room, no one would comment negatively at all. Sports geek = Cool and socially acceptable. Sci Fi geek = Sad nerd and social pariah. Society sucks. |

Why is it crazy to wear a Star Trek shirt, but not crazy to wear a Packer's Jersey? I'm personally a fan of to the death gladiator combat, but everyone thinks I'm nuts when I'm out in public wearing in my thorax hamata.
I like to combine my sci-fi geek with my sports nerd. Hardcore.
