Double exp

I know a lot of on-line game do this so its by far not the newest idea. But ill ask anyway since i couldn't really find a similar suggestion by way for search.


Would you ever consider adding a 12-24 hour play time double exp to the purchase menu along with the others?

I'm sorry to /unsign this one but I think you are going to find that many people are of the opinion that leveling in this game is already ridiculously easy and it doesn't need to be made easier.

Yup, I find this game easy enough and leveling already fast as Forbin pointed out. RMTers could exploit this by getting toons to 50 faster, so less time spent for them and they pass the costs on to the ones that would foolishly use their services.

Plus we get patrol XP for free.

And keep double XP times more meaningful. If people could turn on at any time, it isn't as special any more.

Yeah, two reasons against; Patrol XP and DXP weekends.
T'be honest, I think the stuff we can already purchase is good enough for micro's as it is.

Perhaps, instead of 2XP weekends, maybe they could issue 2XP tokens on those weekends as redeemable veteran rewards/badges (Earned by everyone with an active account at time of issue) which would each grant one character 24 or 48 hours of 2XP. This would allow every toon (Below 50 of course) you have to take advantage of it on your schedule rather than on theirs. (Say it is maybe the weekend you have to be away or when a family crisis or real world issues takes you away from the game.)

Much of the point of Double XP weekends is to gather as many players concurrently as possible, so marketing has pretty numbers to show investors, board members, etc. Thusly, I find it unlikely they would discourage those inflated numbers.

They also frequently coincide with free reactivation weekends, so they can hopefully entice back former players by letting them see what has changed since they left without having to pay for it.

You mean those games that milk their customers dry with these things, and in general, infuriate their customers who feel like they are being nickel and dimed to death?

Such an item goes against the model set forth by this game, wherein the micro-transactions (namely, packs) are designed as fluff, and have little or no bearing on actual gameplay. Even powers such as Ninja Run are designed in a way that their usage does not equal other powers currently within the game.

Experience-boosting scrolls is probably the single greatest reason why I hate "free" to play MMOs. Giving players extra power or extra progress based on how much they pay, ESPECIALLY in a game that's already subscription-based, is a terrible idea, and one of the few things that would be an instant-quit for me. Not "I'm disappointed," not "I'm not sure the game is still what it was." I mean "I will not stand for this crap."

Paid double experience is the single worst thing that can happen to this game, and I hope it never does.

I would just like to see DXP run for a solid week once in a while, instead of a weekend.
