Discussion: Spring (Fling) is coming!

I think GG is right, there isn't any texture wrapping around his leg to even clip through the man skirt. I threw the Chi Master through the demofile and that model is just a Sorcerer with a different color scheme. I was hoping maybe Jay and his army of minions had used a different technique to build that model. I has hoping that model was using an actual dress and not a potato bag texture.

I could easily live with the potato sack man dress, but unless there is a way for the game engine to make our legs 100% transparent, I think MA scrappers and stalkers are going to have crazy clipping issues.

In demofiles I've removed gloves from player costumes and found that area to be empty. Guns, swords and auras all show up in the same place. The hand itself is invisable. I've tried to do the same thing to a face and an arm and I found a white texture where the skin should be. I think major parts of the player models have a base texture applied by default, and it is probably no small task to get the game to NOT apply that texture to the model.

Keep in mind this is a theory, I don't actually know anything about any of this.

Did anyone else notice DJ Zero giving out Snaptooth missions already?

We've got 5 feet of snow on the ground, 12 foot piles of snow on the side of the roads....

Wonderful demo edits. As usual, I see no reason why players cannot have access to those costumes. Shiny.

Can't wait for this event. I'll be making a toon just for Spring Fling, just like I did for the winter event!

Just a note: If there are any new elements (missions) in this year's spring event please allow adequate time for TESTING. Don't put this thing on test on 2/9/11, and then push it out on 2/10/11.
