3) ITF/LRSF/LGTF/Apex/TM - all tie for 3rd for the minimal time to merit ratio.

4) Moonfire - I just dig this TF for no apparrent reason, just really seem to enjoy it when I run it.

Hess. Three simple words. Giant. Nazi. Robot.

Its quick, its fun, not a lot of needless running around. You never have that "this is just one mission too long" feeling that you get from some of the TFs. Its pretty much perfect.

Doc Q aside I did all three of the other Shard TFs recently for shards. Funny thing was Sara Moore and Faathim's took longer but seemed like more fun and both did about the same as far as shard drops.. 6 each. Justine Augustine took a little over 90 minutes but seemed SO MUCH LONGER. Half the missions had us racing from one Bastion to another defeating 50 Soldiers of Rularuu and all of them were between 44-47 so limited or no Inf, no salvage or recipe drops, and obviously since we were not battling 50 levels no shards.

Of the three I enjoyed Faathim best which I mention in my previous post here. Loved battling all those AVs and we only left the Storm Palace once. I'd do it again anytime

Apex, end of story.

Solo'ing Maiden while the team sits there face planted cause they can't dodge = PRICELESS.

(Wish it didn't happen 80+% the time ;o )

Plenty of other fun SF's/TF's, but none come anywhere close to the Fun and Excitement of the Battle Maiden fight.

My criterion:
A- Good reward-to-time ratio
B- Seeing stuff you don't see in mission content (rooms, groups, AVs, objectives, etc.)
C- Need for teamwork and coordination
D- Speed (not always necessary, but having the option is essential)
E- Higher levels are better (I can't stand suddenly being without my toon-defining power that I have been rocking for 30 levels.)

1. Apex
2. ITF
3. Tin Mage
4. Mender Silos (I wish I ran it more)
5. STF
6. Kahn
7. LGTF
8. LRSF
9. Manticore (all-blaster manti, was one of the best times ever)
10. New Positron (could be higher, but rewards are meh)

The only ones I hate are Synapse, Citadel and the too-long shard ones.

Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Oh Least favorites I didn't know we could list those too Okay this time IN Order..

1. Doc Q.. I enjoyed Sara Moore, can tolerate Justine Augustine and love Faaathim but Quartermain is just way too long, way too many mindless hunts and to me just not worth the effort. At this point my Badger has only three TF/Trials left to accomplish .. Eden Trial, Hero Side Respec 1,2 and 3, and.. DOC Q TF in the shard.

2. Synapse TF.. and you know its funny because I don't really mind most of it and enjoy the end where we battle Babbage and then head off to defeat the Clockwork King himself. But those three straight practically identical Kill all in a row followed by a PATROL ( Oh I just love patrols and this TF has 2 LOL) and then another Kill all before we finally get to some missions that are stealthable. YES I know as a badger its an easy way to get the GearSmasher Badge but usually every member of the team has that by the end of the second mission if not by the end of the first. WHY we need to repeat that same mission again and again and again is beyond me.

3. Citadel TF.. Okay its not so much that I absolutely despise the task Force itself but it is the crowning jewel it what amounts to having the Council shoved down our throats from level 20 - 30. Once you complete Sister Psyche in order of availability you get..

Moonfire (Level 22 and up) .. I like this TF all but one talk too mission are in Striga and its not too long. With an 8 man team you can at least come close to getting the Slayer and Silver Bullet badges you need to complete the requirements for the Atlas Medallion.

Ernesto Hess (Level 25 and up) .. Good TF You mostly battle Mekmen so no badges other than the one for the TF itself involved but like Moonfire it is all located right on Striga and it's quick.

And finally Citadel (Level 25 and up) Not a bad TF although they could do an update and remove that one street hunt. Since they brought back the Fifth Column finding Council in the street is no where near as simple a proposition as it once was. It does have 4 kill alls but most are short maps.

I made the mistake once of doing all three of these back to back to back in the same day. I was so tired of seeing Council and those winding cave bases of their's I didn't even want to do a Council Radio Mission for a while. In that same time frame between Level 20 - 30 we see a lot of other interesting groups .. Tsoo, Warriors, The Family, Banished Pantheon along with the Freakshow (who already had their TF at level 20 through Sister P). But when the Devs sat down and designed the Task Forces the ONLY group they could think of using to help us get from level 20 to level 30 was COUNCIL? Oh and let's not forget that at one point during Sister Psyche you run two mission back to back that have you battling.. Council in addition to Freakshow. *rolls eyes

As a runner up I am going back to the Shard and listing Justine Augustine. Best part is this was the fastest of the 44 and up TF I ran in the shard.. I was able to complete it on an 8 man team in about 1:30. Sara Moore and Faathim both took about 3 hours. BUT.. it had 11 missions and 6 of them were midless hunts designed to do nothing but force us to move from one end of the zone to the other battling villains anywhere from 3-6 levels lower than we were (We had a 50 level team). That meant little or no Influence, no recipes, no salvage, no SHARDS and a growing sense of annoyance as we prayed to get to an actual door mission. Then of course there is the fact that we have just gone through several portals taking us to another set of worlds far from planet earth and yet who do we spend half our time battling? Circle of Thorns! Now I can buy into Crey industries being there.. Its science related and if there is a chance of stealing some new technology to sell on earth you know Countess Crey had no problem funding the expedition. Nemesis? Well we all know that Nemesis has a nasty habit of showing up anywhere to see what sort of trouble he can create. But just exactly how did the COT manage to GET to the Shadow Shard and what the heck are they looking for there? Overall this may be the fastest of the Shard TFs but I'd gladly do 3 or 4 Faathim Tfs in a row before I do another of Justine's.

There's some weird quality to the ITF that just makes it more fun than the other TFs. Personally I think it's the big outdoor maps, level range and reward rates.

Besides this, I used to love the Cap SF back when it could be duoed and offered a decent reward.

Finally, I have so many memories of the LRSF (good and bad) that it's got to be in the top three. Teaming with the Blackguards where they'd voice the cut scenes on vent and play music during the final battle are some of my fave CoX experiences.

I'd have to say my favorite is a MOapex. I've gotten really good at helping others get the master on this one. It's easy and fast. The merit rewards are also awesome which is why Tin Mage is my second favorite.

Without trying to sound argumentative, how much I like a TF depends on my team. It depends on how well they work together, mostly. Secondly, ATs on my TF sometimes can change it a lot.

For example, I did a Cavern Trial the other day and my toon happened to have invis and tp so it took us less than 10 minutes. That is a different experience than doing it without these tools.

I love Numina, but it can get really irritating if people don't cooperate or communicate on the hunts.

Generally speaking, though, I like the shorter TFs more. I enjoy Katie Hannon (all incarnations), Hess, new Posi, speed ITF--that kind of thing.

I did a Dr. Q when I first started and was curious so I did one again about a month ago and I hated every second. Of course I knew it would be long, but the xp was HORRIBLE! I would possibly do it more (possibly!) if the xp was good.
