Because that's perfectly in keeping with his past track record of being an absolute, pants-on-head human fruitloop.

I think the Grail would probably be an aspect of the Well too - so we'd be doing our own quest for it

Perhaps SexyJay made a trial account, had the name resemble his own, and then posted these cryptic riddles! That would be truly cryptic

It would be cool if we could go back to when Arthur first obtains the Excalibur from the lady of the lake (Possibly Lady Grey).

So... will we be going to Camelot?

In a mild bit of seriousness, I'm not sure the Holy Grail could be brought up in City of, given how finiky the devs are about religious references, and the Holy Grail is a direct, Christianity reference.

Bah, given that the Grail itself was just a rip off of Celtic legend (see Bran the Blessed's or Cerridwen's cauldron) there's ways around that. The Devs have already plundered Celtic mythology for the activities in Croatoa so that route is still open to them.

And plundered them a bit poorly. They DO realize that Bres was NOT considered a good king or a hero? (Actually they don't, but that's not the point of this)
At best, he taught the Tuathua farming after trying to usurp the throne back with the help of BALOR.

Though the devs are clearly equal opportunity in their lack of research when they turned Romulus Augustus into a ten foot, power-hungry, psychopath who made deals with nazis from the future and space aliens.

Not to mention that the roman unfiorms are all wrong for that timeframe.

(Hint: 5th century legionaires do not look like 1st century ones)

You mean like today's youth dress like 17th century gentlepersons?

Well... they DO have the baggy drooping pants in common.

I am sorry for any friction what I was told may've caused here. The friend who told me this seemed quite convinced of what they believed was the case, and I do apologise also for any speculation this has caused.

I think the hisotircal accuracy of the clothing really doesn't matter in the context of what else is being done to that period in the storyline

And if we get some medieval stuff, I'm also pretty sure that it won't be 100% accurate, but it'll look 100% accurate to almost everyone

Yes, yes they did.

But you know, if Rommy had been like that, it would have given my history lessons so much more KAPOW!

EDIT: And to quote the last line of a long gone TV series... "I want to fight a dragon."

I've been wanting chain armor (instead of the very stylized plate armor) since I started this game. Yes, I realize we aren't the "other" MMOs, but still, heroes dress in all manners of attire and armor.

"Groups of eight wearing clothing I have never seen with a Master at the helm!"

Havn't seen this brought up yet, so I thought I'd toss in my 2 cents. Sounds like a hint at the League system used in the new raids... with possibly new costume pieces in I20.

Psst... there's an s on the end of that Group word.

Yes but it says groups of 8, note the plural.

But why would we be wearing never-seen-before clothes? Or is that a hint that some new content will require forced costume choices?

I agree, and it was mentioned back on post #25

Possibly new costume pieces in I20. Again, same as my first post.

Would everyone wear it? No. Would some? Yes.

Anything else I need to break down?

EDIT: Must have skimmed over your post, Shadow State. Nice to see we're on the same page though.

It's 99% likely that it's a reference to the League system, as there's an overall League leader who can shuffle players around the teams grouped up for the League - but the bit about wearing new clothing seems kinda weird, as that doesn't really have anything to do with the League system.

Yeah. If anything, I'm sure it's something Jay threw in to throw people off. Anything added after the fact of that chat - such as the Animal Booster - is never before seen at the time of his posting.
