Logging in issues?
Me too, despite applying the patch.
Thank you, Champion.
Well I'm getting another patch now. Maybe this'll fix the issue.

Have the same problem. Just joined the forum, but been with the game over 3 yrs.
I've gotten this error a few times when changing characters, but typically I can go right back in.

If at first you can't log in, try try again. Seems to be the only cure.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Edit: received and applied a third patch. I am now able to log in.
Thank you, Champion.
Wee. Now I can't get back on. I rebooted after the Hamidon raid, started City of Heroes, and it began downloading a patch for some reason, after this afternoon's patch was already downloaded and applied. The new patch was applied, and then I verified the files. Everything was okie. I logged on, selected the Champion server, then wammo!
"No response from this server. Try a different server, or try playing this one later."
Closed City of Heroes, and restarted. No patch this time. Reverified the files, everything was okie. I logged on, selected the Champion server, and received the same error.
Meh.
Edit: Just restarted City of Heroes again. No patch, and verified the files for a third time. I logged on, selected the Champion server, and received the same error.
@Celestial Lord and @Celestial Lord Too
I've closed and restarted and least 5 dozen times (verified the files several times) and I still can't log on.
Others are on...wtf?

Restarted and started updater...no patch.
Tried it again...no patch.
I repeat...wtf?

Or are you saying that all of us should read each and every post in every thread in the "news and announcements" section?
[Yeah... I'm feeling snarky too. Long day and was looking forward to my play-time. ]

Me too, also downloaded patch.
The fraise "No Responce From The Server." Pissing you off?
Do this!
Go to your OS(C : )
Access your program files(x86)
Go to the City of Heroes section
click the file called "cohupdater"
Note: I had done the update and still received the message trying to access a server, try it out it worked for me
How to fix the 'No response from server' problem:
Exit COX
Using Windows Explorer or hard disk browse, go to where your COX program is installed (like C:\program files\City of Heroes
In the City of Heroes folder, find two files: one ends in PRN and one ends in CHECKSUM
Delete them
At Start, click Run. IN the box, type CMD
The Command Prompt black screen appears. In the command window, type :
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS <--- notice the space before /
After it runs, type EXIT in the command window and the black screen goes away.
Restart COX
It will checksum and then fix the broken files
It will verify
And then you can log in
That's funny... All I did was reboot my computer :/
Anyone else having issues with logging in? I keep getting bounced at the server selection screen. "No response from this server. Try a different server, or try playing this one later." I get that message and I've clicked on every single server.
