QoL improvements

Maybe these requests have already been done somewhere in various form, but I'd really welcome these two things.

1. personal vault storage for all kinds of "storable" (i.e. not only salvage, but also enhancements and recipes).
2. a (limited) shared storage between all account alts. I know now I can send an e-mail to myself to send something, but personal storage may be used for later use. Alternative is SG storage, but personal vault would add another feature.
3. When crafting, give the opportunity to "show also stored salvage" (and if 1 is implemented, add also stored recipes) so that one knows if he has those salvage in bank or not.

Then, if possible, try to modify the zones so that universities and auction houses are close to each others. People tend to gather in zone where those two are close to each other (Cap au diable and Steel Canyon mainly). And of course, put the Vault also close to them.

I've wanted to at least be able to chuck recipes in there for ages.

So have a lot of other people but the devs seem dead set against it.

That's one thing I've never really understood. You can store enhancements for later use, and you can store salvage for later use, but not recipes for later use?

Could be I teamed by level 30, with some level 50s. The recipe drops I get are going to be 50, but I can't use them yet, and I don't have the salvage to craft them. So I have to hold them for another 17 levels before I can use them?

It just doesn't make sense... but then no one ever said I had to understand.

What boggles me is that you can store inspirations but not recipes. You can physically store abstract ideas, but not pages of blueprints. Say what?

Have they ever given a reason why they don't want us to store recipes? It wouldn't bother me as much if I knew the logic behind it.

One of the devs said during I9 beta testing that the reason they weren't giving us any dedicated recipe storage was because they wanted to minimize our ability to hoard recipes.

The way the devs see it more recipes get put on the market by keeping us from having recipe storage.

I have no idea if datamining says they are right.

My first response to your answer was to think, 100 enhancements per bin makes that sound a little wonky. But then I remembered respec recipes. So yeah... sensible enough. Thanks

I am all for recipe storage, both in the personal vault and in some type of rack.

How's this for wonky. We used to be able to store 2500 pieces of salvage in our salvage bins until Issue 13 when they reduced our invention storage capacity to 30.

So while I don't think you'll find anyone that wouldn't want more storage I regret saying it looks like a uphill battle from previous dev posts and storage reductions.

We have the Vault services, but I was wondering if that couldn't be remade to serve as an all-purpose "drop box" service for multiple characters that would be outside of the supergroup features.

Here's how it could work... you set up your Vault account with a list of registered characters that would have access to the account. You then drop off enchancements, recipes, inventions, that would be accessable to others in your list.

This would be a little more elaborate than the in-game email attachments and it would give people a reason to use the Vault again.

Here's the only problem I have with this idea. Right now each character can have up to 50 odd slots in the Vault for salvage.

Now I have 80+ characters and most of those characters are between levels 5-35 so they each have 30 slots in their vault for storage. So I can store at least 2,400 pieces of salvage in my various character vaults.

If the devs turn the vault into a global storage we are going to lose all that storage. They won't let the amount of storage the vault can hold keep increasing with every new character.

I'm sorry but I'm not willing to sacrifice my current ability to store large numbers of salvage for the minor convienence of not having to email stuff to myself.
