A possible request - with the new plethora of inherent powers listed, the window is becoming a bit cluttered. There's got to be some way to simplify things, because as it stands the inherents go off the bottom of the window, and I keep forgetting to put slots into stamina when building because it's not on-screen without scrolling.
There are two ways I would think of addressing this. The first is simply to make the window's size default to something big enough to fit everything. As it stands when you open the program it sets the window height to be large enough to go down to the bottom edge of the box where power information is displayed. You can, of course, drag the window bigger, but it doesn't remember the setting. Having it default instead to be tall enough to show all of the inherent powers would be nice.
Alternately, would it be possible to implement some user controls for the display and positioning of these powers? I personally never use the vet sprints for anything, so I don't care about displaying them. Similarly, I couldn't care less what sprint, brawl, and rest are doing, since I never slot them for anything. Is there any way a user could simply turn off the display of these powers so that the remaining inherents like stamina and kheld forms fit better in the space provided?

There are ways to simplify things, but none of them are easy. Currently (and has been the case since the beginning), the inherent powers in Mids are all static in their placement (as in, there is a field in the Mids Database that tells it where to put it). This means that even if some powers were added or removed dynamically, it wouldn't change placement at all (you'd just got large black gaps where those powers were). Changing this to a more dynamic system is something I want to do, but is going to take a lot of work for various reasons and it is lower priority than other things (like the Alpha Slot).
Changing the default size of the window is something I don't want to do (we are currently trying to keep it small enough to work on 1024x768 resolution), but making it remember its size is something that should be done, and I'll probably do so when it hits my priority.

Is that why I've not had any problems with it? I installed mine in \Games\Mids and set the shortcut to run as administrator. I know Windows protects Program Files, but not random folders I create.

I have mine installed in "Program Files (x86)" and I don't run mine as Administrator unless I want to update it. I save my build files in a sub-folder of "My Documents", though.

Haven't read all of the thread, but the Defense values for Stealth are showing up as the non-combat numbers. I liked it before how Stealth was contributing only the in-combat portion when toggled on.

Gack and buggerit. The auto-update still runs into problems conflicting with Windows 7s bloomin' admin rights thing.
*sigh* Still DL to desktop and run as admin for me, it seems.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Why the heck is MIDS 1.91 downloading the 1.9110 file "mhd.mhz" to the "C:\Windows" directory?
Using the latest "autoupdate" I found where it is downloading to, and it really should NOT be putting the file there.

Actually it dropped itself one level deeper into the system32 directory.

The other question you need to also ask yourself, "Why is Mids' setting some odd directory as the start in field for the shortcut?"
|
Still, having the wrong Start In path is probably either the user's doing or NSIS's fault. The Mids' NSIS script uses SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\" before making the shortcuts, just like the documentation describes.
Question...is there any way to signify if an enhancement is actually slotted or not?
I ask because what I typically do is print out a build and highlight (with an actual highlighter) enhancements as I get them. If I could do this right in Mids that would be really, really handy.
Suggestions:
Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level

The easiest workaround i can think of is to open two instances of Mids' and load your finished build into one and copy your current build into the other with Titan Sentinel and place them side by side to compare.
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
It shouldn't be significant, since the Start In path was only used by accident.

Also, even if it isn't significant, it is still something the program shouldn't be doing. That means a bug. Sorry to sound like an ***, but when I see someone playing an issue off as an "user error" in reguards to a program that I had worked on (and I KNOW it's not user error), it annoys me a little bit.
I am glad that Mids' actually has someone working on it rather than it being just put on the shelf.

There are two issues here:
(A) The installer needs to make the shortcut correctly.
(B) Paths need to be qualified such that A doesn't matter.
The major and important bug is B, it's just one that hadn't shown up previously until A happened.

Quick Q; does Smoke Grenade in devices have to check accuracy, or is it an auto hit power? If yay, then it should surely take accurate-tohit debuff sets, and if nay it shouldn't be able to slot for acc should it?

Hey, I was wrong. It's actually Windows' fault.
I just ran a shortcut from my Start Menu, and it chose an absolutely random directory for the current directory: my Christian Kinesis logo folder, which is quite distant from any software folders. I'm pretty sure I can't explain why running a program using a shortcut in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs", which points to "D:\all\GetCurrentDirectory.exe", results in a current directory of "D:\all\02 06 05\Fancy\Christian Kinesis". In fact, I moved the program elsewhere on the D drive and even on the C drive and got the same result.
Well, maybe I can partly explain it. If you organize D:\all by name, 02 06 05 is the first folder... then you organize that folder by date (which is actually how I have all my folders organized), Fancy is the first folder in there. Organize that folder by date, and you get Christian Kinesis. However, this folder also has another subdirectory in it.
While you gentlemen are still poking at the bugs, go over the animation times, please. When you added Arcanatime, you did something that threw off several animation times, and none of them have been corrected. Hasten and Domination, for instance, are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off.
Fly is unlocking at level 4.
Whatever you were supposed to do to fix powers working in conjunction with Fiery Embrace, it didn't. Lightning Rod for scrappers was the one I checked, it references the special Fiery Embrace/Lightning Rod pet, but instead of showing an increase in damage, it shows a substantial decrease, and ignores all other damage buffs.
And why does the program default to all primary and secondary powers unlocked when it's started or an AT is selected? It's only supposed to display two primary and one secondary as available, not the entire list of both.

In-game, Fly is indeed set to unlock at level 4 (look at [Fly]). I think we'll change it to 6, though. :P

Go to Pets > Embraced_Lightning_Rod_Scrapper.Lightning_Rod, go to its Effects, and edit the only effect by checking "Ignore Buffs / Enhancements" and changing the "ModifyEffect Flag" to FieryEmbrace. Also change its probability to 0. Then go to Scrapper_Melee > Electrical_Melee > Lightning Rod, and change the Probability of its third effect to 1.
