My apologies for my hurried post earlier. I was a bit pressed for time and wanted to get it up on the boards as quickly as possible. A few points...
The whole thing is going to be a silent auction with no reserve. This means the highest bidder takes it.
(As if this needs to be said...) Bids are to be placed in Influence/Infamy/Information amounts only please. Offers of real world currencies will be ignored.
Bidding will end on the morning of December 1st at approximately 8:00 A.M. Central time.

You know this really sucks, cause I could bid for this. Possibly win, but because my computer is having technical difficulties I wouldn't be able to claim it in a reasonable amount of time, and my new computer hasn't shipped yet.

For those of you who may be curious about what 8 million prestige can buy:
1) Teleporters to every zone, plus the accompanying beacons and rooms required to house them
2) A medbay, with rez ring(s)
3) 2nd tier power and control items
4) A heavy mix of storage items, including salvage & enhancement bins, along with crafting table(s)
5) A medium-sized base plot, which will be big enough to fit the rooms to house the above mentioned items, and then some

I have a question: If this is a SG on Virtue, why not post it on the Virtue forum? I mean, you're more likely to get people with even a passing interest in the server there than here. Here, we get people from all over, including the EU servers.

I once bought an SG base because of that very fact. It was on a server I wasn't currently residing on. I did so because I had been considering branching out, but hadn't determined a server yet; had I not seen a post in a general interest forum, I wouldn't have known about it.
Still, a post on the Virtue forums probably wouldn't hurt.
Since I have not received any more bids since Saturday, I am going to go ahead and give the SG to the current high bidder who will be contacted in game.

The last time I saw a base for sale it when for about 15 million, I figured the going price is about that, they are a rare sale, in fact I always in the market for bases on different servers.
That said this base was totally sweet! the Apartment set is well laid out, and a lot of the other functional side can be added behind the current base set up. The Workshop area is like something out of Batman, thought Dark I added some light.
