Neat idea for Mastermind pets, maybe?
Maybe the final pet can be a mini organelleless Hamidon? Otherwise, good idea.
to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!
this sounds neat, and as soon as i saw "blob" i immediatly thought of hami lol, mini hami mm pets would be awesome (they of course wouldnt be able to use the hami untyped dmg, but thats a different issue)
Much better suggestion than the frequently asked for "Clown set."
I approve.

Clowns (Ring Master MM), Winged Fez wearing Monkeys (Wicked Witch MM), Scarecrows (The Other kind of Witch MM), Knights (Uhm m m The Somesorta Medieval MM), Foxy Ho's (The Pimp MM), Puppets (Puppet Master MMs), Sled Dogs (The Musher MMs) all spring to my twisted mind!
This is certainly one of the more interesting ideas for a new MM primary that I've heard. I can't say that I'm all that keen to play the set, but, as others have said, it sounds a helluvalot better than Clown Summoning.
It's probably my #3 pick, for what that's worth, behind Animals and Illusions.

....I like it.
This is an idea that works very well! The 'Blobs' could easily be interpreted as several different origins (Science, Magic, and Mutant), unlike most of the other sets available.
I suspect these would primarily have Toxic/Smashing damage, with some additional debuffs (perhaps -Dam?) thrown in for good measure.
My only question would be what kind of personal attacks would be appropriate for this kind of set...
/Signed. Please move this to the top of the list, for when the Devs decide to make another Mastermind Primary. (Which will be what... another two years?)

I've got to be honest. I was hesitant to even post this idea because I felt that someone, if not a few people, would instantly jump at the opportunity to come up with dozens of reasons on "why it could not possibly work" and several lectures on why it would somehow ruin the game just for the sake of trying to keep anything from changing.
You guys have no idea how happy it makes me to have seen nothing but positive feedback. Thank you so very much!
I absolutely LOVE the ideas you guys have come up with to add on to the whole thing.
And to OneWhoBinds, to answer that, just as a thought, I could only imagine something like zombie puking... but then, that would be too liquidy, huh? Probably more along the lines of just shooting globs of goo (as far as ranged attacks go), like the Hydra do. At least, I think they do... right?
I'd also imagine most of their attacks having a slow affect on your enemies. Makes sense, after all. Perhaps the final pet could even have an attack sticky enough to hold a single person in place, unable to fight back, while the second pets could immobilize foes?
But please continue adding more to this, guys. I really, really appreciate the feedback
Also, for one of the Mastermind's personal Goo skills, maybe one that throws a sludge puddle to a chosen location that slows down the enemy movement?
Or the Mastermind throws a glass container/tube to a location. It breaks and spreads an acidic goo that slows enemy movement while dealing minimal damage (Basically works like Caltrops).
Just a thought.
We've seen armies of undead, demons, robots, ninjas, mercs, and thugs... why not blobs? I think a gelatinous Mastermind pet set would be awesome and could work pretty well. Especially if adding a power similar to the Demon's skill that makes those tiny fiery underlings pop out. You pick one to buff it with and that pet would multiply tiny versions of itself, or just drop living little underling globs every few seconds that crawl around and slow enemies down while dealing minor damage. Not talking about Hydra or Shivans either. But maybe something similar to shivans. Without the skeletal insides. |
So, yeah, I definitely approve of this idea.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Yes. I don't even play masterminds, and I want this.
Thank you, Champion.
Thats Awesome... other ideas...
Critters (Snakes, Spiders, Wolfs, Cats, Bears) Also, how about being able to change their costumes... like Gang War in Cop Uniforms, or Ninjas looking like Yakuza, or Soldiers looking like Family... you get the idea. And Blobs? Dude.. that is so kewl. I can see the mid range ones spitting little Blobettes at people!
Korvis Korax (Freedom)
Spotted Owl (Freedom)
Erasmus M'Hael (Victory/Freedom)
Tanari Jhadian (Victory/Freedom)
Mental Fortress (Victory/Freedom)
Just a thought.
