Still this episode was pretty awesome and I'm hoping it'll continue. I thought the idea that the phrase "Rusty Venture" was not only slang for a sexual scenario but it was a term that pretty much everyone had a different definition for was priceless.

Absolutely fantastic finale though. No big gotcha like the previous three, but far more plot threads to work with and a ton of great references, cameos and just great moments.

I'm at least glad that as of right now they "intend" to do more Venture Brothers and I'll leave it at that.

Or shows that already wrote out their story before they got canned and decided not to change it at all. Ala Flash Forward.

They USED to have a plethora of good shows, but not anymore and I believe they know it.

Apart from reruns of "The Family Guy," this show is the highest rated show on Adult Swim.
The DVD/Blu-Ray sets are Cartoon Network's biggest sellers.
The DVDs continue to sell more with each new season, which means the audience is GROWING. (And Cartoon Network does not get DVD sales from "The Family Guy.")
They may not have the new contract worked out currently, but "The Venture Brothers" is turning into a cash cow for a small cable network. Adult Swim would be crazy not to keep this going unless Jackson and Doc suddenly wanted dump trucks full of cash to be delivered to their homes.

Great episode. I'd guess that the reason they haven't announced a new season is because both sides are still negotiating the deal - I'd be shocked if either side didn't want to do one.
I Tivoed this episode and just watched it tonight. My god. I think I just saw the best episode of the best freakin' show on television.

So few things on TV exceed my expectations - this episode was one of them!
Great stuff, start to finish. Loved the dialogue, the music and the character development.
Now to wait-and-see what the future holds for this fine creation....
