Sherlock
Yes, it's awesome.
It really is worth a look, IMHO. They actually do some pretty clever things in updating some of the conventions and elements of the old stories, while turning others on their heads so if you're familiar with the originals you might still be surprised. Watson remains a former Army doctor wounded in Afghanistan, but Sherlock prefers to send text messages instead of telegrams and he uses nicotine patches instead of smoking.

This. Don't let the fact that they're in the 21st Century put you off, the series is worth watching. With Holmes, it's not so much about the setting as the characters, and the characters are spot on.
Goodbye, I guess.

I kid, I kid... But yes, the show is awesome, and I love the 'show the text in mid-air' so we're not looking over everyone's shoulder as they're texting.

I imagine Sherlock Holmes has been a comic book at some point, so this should be allowed.
Has anyone seen the new Sherlock BBC TV show, set in the modern age?
Customer reviews on it are really good, but .....modern age just bugs me.
Any thoughts?
