Humanity's gimmick, so to say, is our brain power. We're the smartest critter we know of, and we used that to conque the world. So any animal bitten by a radioactive human would, in comic book science, gain intelligence comparable to a human.

Comic book science is fun.

Yeah, I always like it when people say humans don't have "super" powers when comparing us to other creatures. They always forget about the brain, ours is huge and amazingly effective compared to any other creature.

Book smarts.

In that, the spider now knew which books to avoid getting smushed with.

Although, if dolphins developed opposable thumbs, we'd be screwed.

If they're so smart, how come they keep getting caught in nets?

Same reason humans get caught in speed traps?

Because nets look like a giant comfy Afgan quilt.

I have a rarely played character that was a relative of the mongoose that got bitten by a radioactive human. Just a silly little backstory on it.

Another of humanity's gimmicks is endurance, surprisingly enough. We may not be especially fast, but we can run forever, comparatively. Persistence hunting is still in use by Kalahari bushmen, among a few others, who can chase prey for up to 4 hours until it simply collapses out of exhaustion.

My story arcs: #2370- Noah Reborn, #18672- The Clockwork War, #31490- Easy Money

Sartre once said, "Hell is other people." What does that make an MMO?

Ah yes, that was the other thing I forgot. I read it somewhere not long ago that humans are the best long distance runners.

I suspect it's probably related to brain power in a way, as it allows us to condition our bodies and to push past boundaries.
