Help me think of a name for a antihero/superhero?

All the good one-word names are probably taken. Never hurts to try, though. How about...
- Phaser
- Antiproton
- Converter
- Entropy
- reAction
- Shifter
- Manipulator
... yeah, I'm not so good at one-word character names. (Most of mine are fake compound words.)
EDIT: Also, welcome to the forums. 
Well I'm going to guess that all the "cool" and obvious one word names based on that power have been taken by energy blasters say ... about six years ago. So good luck with that.
When I think of matter and energy I think of physics. I would suggest finding a few articles about plasma or fusion physics that may have cool sounding terms relating to matter and energy.
For example Quintessence is a hypothetical form of dark energy. It's what the ancient Greeks called their "fifth element". Maybe Quint for short.

Energy-using antihero? Yeah, bet on all the good ones being taken already.
I'd strongly suggest shooting for a composite or using a main name and a descriptive adjective. Luckily you have a lot of options above and beyond the regular ones for an antihero. Dark or Blood always work. Black, Crimson, Death, Doom, Dread, Gloom, Night, Shade, Shadow... you get the idea. Also kind of depends on where the concept is going of course.

I have no idea if this is taken or not, but "Blacklight".
This lends itself naturally to a black and white/purple costume and/or powers.

Portmanteaus and mashups are probably your best "one word" bet at this point, if this is for CoH. Blacklight was mentioned by McNum, but that's a common enough one that it's likely already in use. Some other ideas:

It'd help to have a bit more detail on the concept.
For example, I have a telekinetic who's powers manifest in an array of neon colors, who is quite nimble. A thief and part time hero, who goes by RaveSpider (uses Sinister top and bottoms), thusly her name is based a bit on her motif.
So the name can be tied to the character on more than just the powers.
My main goes by BrandX, based on her mask (X Eyes).

I just watched Supernatural tonight and Lucky kinda was an antihero. Although he was a skinwalker and not an energy blaster. *shrug*
Cancel the kitchen scraps for widows and lepers, no more merciful beheadings and call off christmas!
Lets try and keep it to one word ie: Shade, or Punisher. His powers are the ability to manipulate matter and energy with his hands allowing him to "shoot" bolts of energy at his opponents.
