So do a driver cleaner and reinstall?

yes. that should fix it.
I'd open the case and check to be sure all the fans are running. Also clean all the dust out, especially from the heat sinks.
An update, I did a driver clean and reinstall, game still seems to want to power off the computer when on 1920/1200

Things only really started going down hill with COH powering off the computer when I got a new monitor, and something similar was happening with League of Legends before tweaking my video card setup, so it would stand to logic it is something there, but I will see about the sound card drivers too. Hopefully all of the above fixes this

Just reinstalled the sound drivers, no dice on it being fixed

Higher resolution means more stress on the video card and processor. My guess is your CPU is overheating and powering down the computer. It might also be that your computer shuts down when your video card is overheating as well.
Open the case, make sure all the fans are running and dust free. Then monitor the temperatures as you play. I don't know of any temp monitoring program that will actually stay on top of the game video so you will have to tab out to it. But with the higher resolution causing a power down it's almost guaranteed to be overheating.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Ok, since youve updated your drivers, re run the coh helper report.
I have a feeling since your video and sound card drivers are over 2000 years old, that there may be something greater going on.
Heat does sound like a general culprit for constant shut downs, but for more info, what resolution did your old monitor handle? High resolutions can do a lot, but that can be eliminated as a cause by lowering your graphics settings in COH, try turning the graphics settings down in small increments, if it keeps crashing, even on the absolute lowest settings, then i doubt its the resolution.
I do appreciate the help, and I'll give this lower and lower resolution thing a try. I noticed I was able to play for much longer when I put the game down to 1600*1200 or 1600*900. This time I will post my dxdiag and my COH Helper outputs to the forums, as COH Helper seems to always want to put my driver dates at the default
Pardon the mess of the DXDiag

The truth is the solution from an equation of lies. ~Maileah Kirel
Bit of an update: I took the card out, cleaned it, put it back in, and ran the game at 1280*1024. Looks kinda goofy only using 2/3rds of the monitor, but I was able to play for a few hours straight with no crash so likely it is the resolutions that was causing the issues for COH. Thanks for the help

Yea, heat could be a big culprit. I think it may have something to do with the amount of ram your video card has. ultra mode at high resolutions is a Vram hog. (at least in my experiance).
If you want to run at those higher resolutions, try turning off Ambiant occulsions. (I turn this off on mine just b/c i don't like it and it improves performance a bit)

Nvidia system tools has a program called system monitor with a overlay that you can use to monitor temperature and usage of fsb, cpu, gpu, hard drives, motherboard and memory; while in a game or other program. I'm not sure how accurate it is however.
Friends don't let friends buy an ncsoft controlled project.
Question:
Are you using a US Installation of Windows, or a localized version for another country?
Are you set up for a non-standard date reporting format?
These are two things that can cause the dates to show like that, aside from the corrupted installation. Since both video and sound were showing the same date oddity, I ignored it assuming one of the situations above (or something else that triggers this type of date reporting) was a factor.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
It just occurred to me that maybe his problem is that the video card is trying to draw too much power from the PSU? I don't recall if he ever told us the make and model of it, or how much it can handle.
I weas thinking exactly the same thing Coyote. The power supply is overheating trying to feed the video card. Setting it lower only buys you a little time. You need a new power supply (PSU).
Setting the card lower means it works less and so draws less power.

I think this may have to do with the fact that I have been running a 1920*1200 wide screen monitor recently, as the crashes did not happen before that, but I have been getting a lot of crashs in COH of late. The computer will litterally just turn off, and has to be turned back on again to restart. Any help trouble shooting this would be appreciated.
