Alpha Slots - see Spiritual

+45% Recharge
+33% Stun duration & Healing

2/3 of that ignores ED caps. So basically, a 30% global recharge bonus. Yeah, is anyone not going to take this path? I mean, even if you have zero powers that stun or heal, who's gonna pass on the equivalent of 3 purple set bonuses?

Of course, on my Fire/Rad/Psy, the stun & heal bonuses are pure gravy. He's already perma-AM, perma-Hasten, but now I can build for perma-IW as well.

Actually, my tanks & brutes will take a long look at the Cardiac tree too for the increase to damage resistance. And w/the free Fitness and the subsequent (likely) more toggles, but fewer slots overall, the end redux will be very, very nice as well. Still, the Spiritual tree is kind of a no brainer for my controllers (defenders, blasters, pretty much all "squishies"), I think, even though the Nerve tree seems more designed for them.

OoooOOoooh. That is yummy, isnt it...

I may have to go that route for my Fire/Fire/Fire blaster too to rev up my Nuke/Die/RotP attack chain!

My main toon, Grav/Storm, is actually going to be going the Cardiac route for the Core Paragon. Currently the toon has about 61% global recharge (with the final build having approx 88%) so recharge isn't an issue. However endurance is! Particularly with longer fights where I am spamming Tornado and Lightning Storm along with running Hurricane and Snow Storm.

The Range aspect will come in handy for Propel and Wormhole and the Damage Res buff will work with Steamy Mist and Fire Shield.

Yeah, I can see wanting to go Cardiac for */Storm since they're already an end beast. Sure, having FR & LS up faster would be nice, but you prolly couldn't cast them all. That's a nice consideration for my own Ice/Storm. OtoH, my Ill/Kin may actually love Spiritual more than my Fire/Rad. Basically hard rech caps for Perma-PA, 15s downtime on FS & Siphon Speed, 7.5s for Transference, 60s for Flash etc. Can't quite hit the rech cap w/my Earth/TA, but still OSA every 49s, 77s for VG, 28.5s for EQ & Stalagmites... Yeah, Spiritual all the way for those guys.

For my Plant/Emp I'm stuck between Spiritual Core (better recharge and heals) and Nerve Radial (Hold, Confuse and Defense Buff).

Nerve Radial with my i19 build of Leadership (with Vengence) would be interesting in terms of playing a "If you be my Vengie Bait I'll rez and buff you to kingdom come" playstyle for buffing the entire team as much as possible.

What about spiritual Core paragon and Illusion trollers. Now not only can I perma PA and ill be able to get some defense as well

Anybody feel sorry for the great folks over at Titan Network who are going to have to try to implement all this stuff into Mid's Designer?

More disappointed than anything about the design of the Alpha slots. Hopefully it will be balanced out by later additions. Fire and Earth Control make out good with the forced combo of Recharge + Stun, everyone else not so much.

Hoping they'll release one version which has inherent fitness to begin with while they work out how to do the incarnate stuff for later, rather than wait until it's all ready before releasing it. :3

Yeah, it will be alot of work. But I am also very impatient and would like my updated mids so I can see how amazing the alpha slot will be for my toons =)

My Ill/Rad still gets boosts to Recharge and Heal . . . the buff to healing makes me think that Defense may be less important, too.
