3 words went through my mind and they were What The Heck. Actualy a more colorful metaphor was used but still. The flash of the Master and the two little girls was creeeeeepy.

i was wondering if they were gonnna play the dracula card for this season with the whole "alpha" vampire thing.
other then that..it was a big risk for sam to let dean take that on the chin like that

While Sam's out and out evil persona was a little surprising, this feels like they're rehashing the same old conflicts of last season, with Sam possibly being an evil Dean'll have to put down or deal with. The jury is still out on this season for me. I've still not seen anything that says, "Yeah, there's a reason we should keep going after the bloody Devil got sent packing."

Also, with the Alphas and the heaven in disarray storylines, I think they've got somewhere to go. I'm just hoping they get Sam back to normal soon so we can have some lightheartedness, even considering how well they pull off the dark stuff.

I have a sneaking suspicion Sam isn't going back to normal... but I do hope I'm wrong. Last season was dark enough a return to the lighthearted stuff would be welcome indeed.
Maybe Lucy's still in there with him, influencing him, but without the power to take over or do anything.
Or maybe he's just a jerk.
