Fast leveling
Inb4 someone asks what the rush is.
Honestly, run mish's at the highest lvl you can(up to +2's) and set for max mobs you can survive. Be sure to follow up on tips for merits.
When the halloween event starts, ToT teams should be pretty easy to find, and are great XP.
But seriously, whats the rush? :P You havent had a lvl 50 long enough to get bored with high lvl content yet
As repeated over an over again in these forums, City of Heroes/Villains is not all about "end game" content. It is about the journey. If you are rushing to level, you are missing most of the best stuff in the game.
The best thing to do is to try to form your own teams. Use the search function. Set up a macro to invite anyone who is looking for team. One I use is:
/macro Team, t $target, Are you interested in joining a team doing level $level missions?
I can just click on a person whose "looking for teams" flag is up and click the Macro. The Macro will send the person a tell message inserting my current level.

I got rush because I will have less time to play due to work in next year.
Im also a 40 month vet player and I came back with GR. I know the game and I also have 5 50s but I got bored of them.
So I want the brute and the scrapper to be 50 because I enjoy more melee characters.
Is just I only catch short running teams, very casual or not team at all.

Normally I wouldn't advocate AE, but you can solo farm missions with your Brute and probably your Scrapper.
You're high enough level for ITFs. Those are good for a whole lotta XP. Log in and out by Imperious, that should help. Also consider joining whatever the appropriate server channels are.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
Seems like I dont have lucky when it comes to find teams. My scheduled time for playing seems to be the opposite of big teams.
With the Incarnate stuff just around the corner I cant wait to lvl 2 characters to 50 the fastest way I can. One is a lvl 40 hero brute SS/SD and other is vigilante scrapper MA/WP. Since looks like I need to solo to reach 50... I would thank any advice to lvl fast as hell? Im on Union EU server (I know, it sucks) |

Also, I'm on Onion, on @Dave N Smith. I'd be happy to team if you catch me on.
All my solo-capable characters by their 40s felt like they marched relentlessly to 50 as long as I actually took them out and played them. It's the lower-level characters and the low damage types that felt like it was an effort.
My latest Scrapper project went from 40 to 46.9 so fast that I hadn't had time to decide what ancillary/epic pool to take , and I still might decide to respec.

Playing a brute and a scrapper, you might level faster solo anyway. Obviously you level fastest by killing non-stop things that give xp. XP is pretty standard based on level, so the only real variable is downtime. To avoid downtime, you can run radio missions, which keeps you from having to go zone to zone to get to your mission. Mission Architect takes this a step further and gives you a door in 1 spot for every mission.
You can choose to skip enemy groups who slow you down. (fake nemisis, master illusionists, anything with caltrops, etc). But basically the way to level fast is to just keep fighting.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
With my BS/SD Scrapper I found that running +1/x4 got me very good experience, especially if I focused on groups that don't have strong defense debuffs (Council and Rikti are both good, Freakshow aren't bad but the endurance drain attacks annoyed me).

Being on a full team is indisputably the fastest way to gain XPs.
I really don't get the (fairly) widespread aversion to actually Forming & Leading teams.
Especially now, with SSK making it virtually painless!
I can usually put a full team together from scratch in under 4 minutes...and I play at VERY odd hours.
As Local_Man suggested;
-make an Invite bind, <<<<<changes EVERYTHING
-grab a bunch of missions so you can move quickly to next one after Mission Complete,
-get cozy with the Search window,
-Form Team,
-Profit.

Easiest way to level on Union is joining these channels and doing TF's. Don't know what is the situation if you are playing in the morning, but can say that in the afternoon an at night (even late night) there is always something happening. And with new system no mater what TF (or SF) you are doing you'll receive XP.
Also i19 won't come before Halloween, and there will be ToT teams in PI as soon as event start.
"If you want to win you must not lose."
"Easiest way to turn defeat into a victory is to put on the enemy's uniform"
"Better strategic retreat than dishonorable defeat"
level 1: sewers to level 10
level 10+ start TFs. This will net you exp and meris, which can be turned in for IO sets so by the time you hit 50 you will have a sizeable amount of merits ready to be used on IO sets so you'll already be somewhat IO'd out.
..or you could just grab a lot of LotG: Recharge IOs and sell them on the market for easy cash (thats what I do)
Whining about everything since 2006.
Ammo switching for Dual Pistols was my idea:

I got 240 merits and some AE tickets too...
My brute is almost 42 by now.
I hope I can hit 50 before I19 go live, Im playing very casual atm.
Thank you everybody for your advices!
Well since your Brute is SS/SD your doing almost all Smashing damage
So finding a group that takes more damage from smashing damage and farming them in a mission is going to increase your leveling speed.
Culex was kind enough to do the leg work and put out a spreadsheet with resistance values for almost all the baddies in the game that is available here http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=115749
A quick look shows hydra taking 1.5 damage from smashing. Doing 1.5 times as much damage in each hit is going to allow you to fight larger spawns of higher level foes and get the most out of the time you do have available to play.
