The Event 10/4/10
I think they'll try and eat the guard's brain.

On the bright side, the action scenes were pretty well done, and seeing passengers wake-up in a morgue (while not entirely shocking) does raise some questions. Do you think they'll have altered DNA like the 97?

I think the snitch subplot illustrated that there are some defectors, even within the 97, and that loyalty to Sophia (and/or the group?) is placed above personal relationships in the group.

It was okay. Enjoyable getting hard to follow who is on who's side now. I'm still going to watch a few more to see where it goes. I'm worried it going to get bogged down it too many conspiracies .
"And for us this is the end of all stories, and we can mostly say they lived happily ever after. But for them it was the beginning of the real story. All there life in this world and all there adventures in Narnia had only be the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of The Great Story which no one on earth has ever read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before" - C.S Lewis, The Last Battle.
While I'm glad they did less flashbacks than they normally do.... it really feels like the show tries too hard to be shocking. I saw the girlfriends betrayal from a mile away. As soon as they showed the scene where the girl had to choose to go one way or stick with her guy... and she chose the guy, I knew they'd probably turn on each other later... in some way...
I don't know. The only semi interesting character is Jason Ritter and the insider cop-alien. Although the kidnapper chick is pretty hot...
Still, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be following the show. It's so close to grabbing my attention, but it can't quite get there.
There were a lot of moments where suspension of disbelief was challenged, as well, such as the whole plane crash scene. But I could get over those if the story were good. But it's just not.

I watched 'Lie To Me' instead. And I'll do it again!
I am thinking about what the 97 people are, they can teleport large objects, they know stuff that is gonna happen in the future, they age very slowly (maybe not at all) and they can bring people back to life. If the producers play the "supernatural" card I wonder if they can't be angels that came to earth. Oh well I guess I will have to keep watching to find out and cross fingers that show doesn't get canceled before someone answers the question.

after 3 episodes all that comes to mind is:

it wasn't that great then either.

I just caught up on the two episodes I missed while on vacation/recovering from vacation. They were okay, nothing special. I agree, Jason Ritter/Sean is the only standout reason to watch the show for me.
And despite them being called "not terrestial" on the show, I still think they are from the future and the 1% difference in DNA comes from them being slightly more evolved, maybe through genetic manipulation.

I think they were taken out with a stasis ray. I expect them to be right as rain for people who were technically dead for a day or so.

I take it from the fact that there hasn't been a thread for this episode until 3 days later means everyone found it as "so-so" as I did. The snitch plot-line seemed incredibly pointless. In fact, it looked like a pretty obvious tease from the get-go. Basically, it was filler for an otherwise "just ok" episode.
So an RV conveniently (or not so conveniently) shows up to cause a wreck for our protagonist to make his escape. Maybe if they had passed an RV that was driving recklessly in last week's episode (to at least give some foreshadowing), this wouldn't have felt like such a Deus ex Machina solution.
Also, are they going from Washington to the desert in record time?? With as fast as they're hopping around cross-country, you'd think a teleporting plane wouldn't be all that impressive.
