New guy needs some answers
If you'd prefer to communicate in game, you'd do well to give us your global handle (the one beginning with @) or, alternatively, your toon name and what server you're on.
FYI : The global handle will be referenced at the top of the login spam (green chat) or also from Menu -> Handle.
You can change it once, and once only (note, sometimes your once might be reset, but don't count on it.)
Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
Here's some quick advice if the Op comes back to the thread cuz I can't promise to be online at the requested time. (and we don't have his global name either)
If the Op is doing Going Rogue please be aware that when you get sent to a new contact you need to go thru the introduction first and then click on the contact a second time and get a mission to make sure it is added to your contact list.
There was some confusion and frustration from new players that didn't realize this in the beginning.
Oh and welcome to the game Atom, hope you like what you see and stick around for a long long time.
Thank you ^^
I'm playing the trial version atm.
My ingame name is: Little Atom and I'm on Union server.
I'm not sure what global handle is ... I'll take a look at it when I will log in later on ^^
Thanks to all

Now, the majority of people you'll see around here are based on the US server list (they get 11 servers, the lucky beggars, compared to the EU's 4 (only 2 of which are English speaking)), and because you're on Union, you'll probably have to wait a little while for the majority of your fellow EUers (like me) to get home from school or work.
And, since you're on a trial account, you need to bear in mind the trial account restrictions (like that little window in the middle of your screen that says "Trial Account" and resets to the middle of the screen every time you zone).
However, all that said, I should be in-game somewhere between 16.45 and 17.00. So, if you want a hand, some questions answered, and as much fun as I'm able to offer, be in Atlas Park (but if you'd prefer Galaxy City, King's Row or anywhere else send me a PM on these forums and I'll head wherever suits you), and I'll come and find you, set you up in a team and see what we can do about having a bit of a laugh.
Even if we never meet, though, good luck, and happy heroing!

Thanks!
I'll totally rely on you
I'll send you a PM right away.
Peace

There's a very good reason for it, but it still sucks.
The reason is as follows: RMT spammers like to use trial accounts to peddle their wares, because a trial account is free and they lose nothing by it getting banned.
RMT stands for Real Money Trade. It is when someone offers to sell you in-game items or currency for real world money. It is very much against the terms of service of the game and anyone caught doing it is banned immediately with no appeal possible (it is one of the few things that have a mandatory ban punishment)
So, because the RMTers were using trial accounts to spam people with their website and offers to sell them stuff, trial accounts were limited to only being able to talk in Local, Team, and the help channel (which you can type /hc before your message to talk in)
I shouldn't have to mention it, but do not, under any circumstances, do business with any of the RMT sites. You have to give them your account information for some of their "services" and they can and will use YOUR account to spam people because they can't do it with trials. That will get your accont banned for something you didn't do, so it's not a good idea.
I'm not trying to discourage or scare you away from playing, but it's something you should be aware of. If you really want to get the full experience of the game, you can always set up a full account for a month to see if you want to continue playing. (I suggest this course of action)

The first mounth is 35 or arround that ...
I guess I'll first finish off the trial version and then decide if buy or not.
And I see there are scammers in here aswell...
Thank you for the waring, I apriciate it.
And I never give my acc. info around ^^
Welcome to the game and forum!
Just to note, if you're worried about asking questions on the forum because of bad experiences in other MMOs, please don't be. The CoX forum is almost unnervingly nice and helpful compared to many other places, and most especially with new players. So ask away, and I'm sure your main problem will involve being swamped by a tidal wave of answers :-)

I wished someone for ingame chatting, cose I got frew questions not only 1,
and I can discuss about them more freearly ...
Dunno how to say: I got a question, I get an answer. I don't understand the person explain me...
It's easyer to chat then to post questions on forums
Thank you anyway
It's your call. If I had access to EU servers I'd be more than happy to help you out. I will say though that we're really good at answering lots of questions here, and responding again if there's things you don't understand. And one other nice thing about a forum thread, is you can save the link and refer back to the info later.
Like I said though, your choice. Welcome to the game, I hope you stay, and have fun.
Edit to add- you may want to scroll down the the European sections of the forums, and post in your Server's board, or the general EU Discussion area. That should be a good way to find someone to connect with ingame on your server.

Generally, when someone asks a question, there's a race and three different people answer it ANYWAY, improving the odds that you get an answer you understand.
Welcome to the game!

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
Hello and welcome to the forums Atom
I think, though I'm not positive, if you can use them on a trial account , you can use the Help, Broadcast, or the Local buttons above your chat box to communicate with others in game. Usually Broadcasting "I'm new to the game can someone help me please?" usually gets a good response. Providing you can do this, it might be your easiest way to get help in game.
Good luck in all your endeavours and enjoy yourself.
There is always a lot to be thankful for, if you take the time to look. For example, I'm sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt. ~Author Unknown
Welcome to CoX, Atom.
I didn't see it mentioned, but I'll point you to the Mentor Project where there are plenty of people to answer your questions. The have an in-game channel (though you can't join it until you subscribe to the game. If I remember correctly Union has Mentors.
And for more information than you will ever want to know about the game, head over to Paragon Wiki.
Hello CoH/CoV community,

I just started in here and I'm still taking a look around in game.
If some of you can take 5 min of your time to answer me some question, would be great.
I would prefer to do it in-game not on forums if possible
So, if you can help me we would set a time so we could meet ingame
(Aprox. 3PM GMT time).
Peace.
